Ok so first of all, this is one of my fave places to eat in Dripping. And one of the few that has really good Gluten Free Options, but that isn't why I am writing this review.
We contacted RTD to help with some of our wedding catering. We had Rolling in Thyme and Dough make some frittatas and fruit trays for us as we got ready. They were great. But the best part is we got their gluten free lavender brownies and their gluten free double espresso toffee walnut cookies to have some gluten free desserts. They were a “mini” size in comparison to what they serve in their restaurant and thank goodness because we would have all been rolling on the floor from being stuffed with the deliciousness. I’m sure their non gluten free baked goods are good, but I have never had them and do not feel like I am missing out when I eat their GF choices. Both these desserts are so so good and people who aren’t GF didn’t realize they were. Please please do yourself a favor if you need gluten free desserts and get in touch with Rolling in Thyme and Dough!
No really, when I learned I need to eat gluten free, I thought I would never have a good brownie again. This brownie proves that isn't true because it is better than any brownie I had ever had before.
Oh my gosh!! One of my clients gave me a gluten free apple pie. Wonderful. Taste: wonderful. Texture of the crust and filling: perfect. My daughter and I have been unable to eat gluten and we've gone without 11 years. We usually just bake our own: apricot glazed cheesecake, apple pie, and berry pie for Christmas, for example. So we know our stuff. Tootie has it down. The price, for the size and quality of the pie we had, is a bargain. Yes, you can get a pie at half the price from HEB, or same price from La Madeline, but the taste, texture, and size won't even come close. The pic is of a re-heat the day after we dug in. Addicted.
