I ordered a custom gluten-free cake for my wife's birthday and it was fantastic! Finding GF options can be difficult, and it's always a bummer when they fall flat (like 70% of the time), so I had a lot riding on this birthday. My wife only discovered her allergy later in life, so she knows all about the joys of gluten! Still, everyone at the party thought the cake was delicious and I was very happy with my purchase. We got a vanilla cake with a blueberry-lemon frosting. Again, we are a family that is not fooled by poor GF options: this was simply a tasty cake that was also gluten free! Brian was easy to communicate with throughout the whole process and I felt very comfortable as the birthdate drew closer.

5/5 This store is always so clean and organized. The employees are very friendly and without fail greet and help me every time. After the new ownership, the company has added many allergy-friendly flavors, as well. I am lactose intolerant and before the new ownership, there were no dairy-free options. Now there are two delicious ones in addition to kosher, gluten-free, vegan, sugar-free, and low-carb yogurts. Would always recommend.

We stopped at the Illy cafe for some gluten free cupcakes, not realizing they needed to be ordered online beforehand. When we asked the counterstaff if they had anything GF they just said no. A bit of a disappointment, but after heading home and doing some research i realized we needed to book an order online. Headed back an hour later and got what we wanted- my wife was raving about how good they were. I tried a bite (gf chocolate/peanut butter icing) and they were indeed awesome. I just wish the google map pin was updated to avoid future confusion and maybe cafe staff could have explained the process(?) rather than a simple 'no'.

Food was decent, although staff was not as knowledgeable about allergen safety as they should be selling gluten free product. Staff on the other hand could use some lessons in customer service. You should not feel uncomfortable your entire meal from the staff having such a bad attitude. Our waitress acted as if simply ordering was a bother and heaven forbid we have children. Then we leave and the main lady upfront at the bakery was just as rude. I ran a business for 16 years and certainly know customer service and man does this place not have it. Go to another location if you want to eat here especially if you have children. Acted like they have never been around children before and are irritated by them.

Harris teeter has a great selection of items. I especially like their meat department as well as a good selection of gluten free items. Their stores are always clean and the employees are helpful & friendly.
