I brought my family to this restaurant as I go there a few times a year because two of us are celiac and it isn’t safe in most places to eat out. I usually eat here because of my celiac disease as I was confidant that it was celiac friendly and didn’t have to worry about cross contamination and they cater for celiacs but the last time I was there I was told that the chips , wings and chicken was not gluten free because they were cooked in the same oil and fryer as the rest of the gluten food. I found this very disappointing and can’t understand why this has changed. I will not be returning as it is unsafe as a celiac to eat here. Very disappointed
Enjoy a unique dining experience in a beautiful deconsecrated church with live music, rich atmosphere, and a menu catering to all tastes.

It was our first time eating there and it was good, unfortunately the burgers were lukewarm but the fries were hot. Otherwise it was very tasty and they have an extra menu for celiacs and the staff is well informed. We can only recommend it.
The ambience is a matter of taste. But we still really liked it. You don't eat in an old church every day.

Great old school Irish pub with live Irish music near the front. Only downside it is that busy you will be in the back and won't hear a thing.
They have Guinness and a gluten free stout on tap. Also has a nice enclosed smoking area out the back away from the crowds.
Great spot for tourists and locals alike
With tasty vegetarian options and standout dishes, this spot keeps diners coming back for more in a vibrant Dublin atmosphere.

Food was nice and they had a separate gluten free menu with several choices. However the pints (cider and smithwicks) were really bad, I sent back 3 and my hubby left 1 as it was undrinkable. We were a party of 12 but we had to leave and go to find another bar.
A charming spot with a stylish decor ideal for social media, it's a busy place worth booking for a lovely brunch experience.

I've eaten here on multiple occasions, an excellent menu and good service. It can be quite noisy at times. They are very accommodating to people requiring a gluten free diet.

What a find! We’re staying local and walked past the other evening, so glad we were able to book. Really relaxed vibe an excellent service. Max was super friendly and suggested some great wines. Drinks and food were top class (with good gluten free options) - highlights from the menu served today were the mini steak tartare, smoked eel, ox tongue and turbot. If you get chance, definitely visit!!
Ideal for families with picky eaters, this spot offers diverse options and a welcoming vibe that keeps everyone happy.

Definitely come here. If you’re a tourist, please step out of temple bar. They had locals, traditional music starting at 9 pm, and even gluten free beer options! Definitely glad I came.
I was here for an all day meeting and the facilities were fine, good staff and a delicious lunch . Gluten free had 2 choices. Excellent. Great location

Stayed overnight on 20th February 2025 and wish we could have stayed longer. Beautiful hotel, room was absolutely spotless and very comfortable. The staff are wonderful especially Samantha on reception and Hannah who served us in the bar restaurant. Both ladies are a credit to Clayton Hotel. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and both meals were absolutely delicious with a wide range to choose from and included Gluten free options for my coeliac husband. We can't wait to go back.

First time going to PYE tonight and will definitely return! So happy to find a really dog friendly pub; it was a busy Saturday night but as soon as a quieter section of the pub opened up, we were taken there and our dog got her own dog bed as well!
I'm coeliac so I was also very happy about the gluten free pizza bases (burger buns also available) and they made sure our chips were cooked in a separate fryer. Thank you again for the good service!
Food was delicious and gluten free wwas well catered for. However, staff were poor, ignoring younger members of our group when ordering drinks and some staff didn't even know what was on the menu
This spot offers good vibes with live music and well-presented dishes, making for a delightful surprise during a spontaneous visit.

Our waiter Juno was fantastic. He was very friends and accommodating. Would definitely recommend a visit. Ask for the Portugese guy, he's great fun. I only gave 4 stars for the food because there weren't many gluten free options.

I had dinner here with my bestfriend and we choose the secret pairing menu. The food was absolutely amazing and the flavors got even better with the different kind of wines that comes with the dishes. This menu is definitely a must try if you are a wine an food lover. Also the staff here is super friendly and the service is phenomenal even though the restaurant was fully packed! The staff payed a lot of attention for the gluten intolerance of my friend. The restaurant itself has a super cozy interior and that makes this spot perfect for a date night or friends night out!
Food was great and so many gluten free options!! I was able to get bangers and mash WITH gravy or the beef stew. Both yum. The staff was fun. Highly recommended.

A real Irish pub with great food.
I recently went to the Hairy Lemon, a popular pub in downtown Dublin. The pub is known for its traditional Irish pub atmosphere, live music and good food.
I was there with my wife and we both had a very good evening.
The food was excellent, especially the Irish stew.
The stew was nicely flavorful and the meat was tender. The waiters were very friendly and attentive and they also knew about gluten-free options.
The atmosphere in the pub is cozy and rustic. There is a large bar area, a fireplace and a stage for live music.
Overall, I was very happy with my visit to Hairy Lemon.
It's a great place to spend an evening in Dublin.
If you're looking for an authentic Irish pub with excellent food, you should definitely visit the Hairy Lemon.
