So many gluten free options. BEST fried pickles and crispy Brussels. All of our food was so fresh. Our server was very friendly and happy to answer any questions. Highly recommend

We just moved to the neighborhood and wanted to try a restaurant in the area after a long day. Little did we know we found our new fav. restaurant!
The service was amazing from owner/ chef Dave, our server Kate, and the bartender.
All drinks and food to die for! As someone with celiac (gluten free), I also want to make note of how safe I felt eating here. I asked what I could/ could not eat and our server Kate was extremely knowledgeable on the menu and allergens.
Already can’t wait to go back! Absolutely phenomenal all around.

Pressed Cafe on Needham St is one of the only places in Newton where you can get a hearty breakfast bowl or burrito around 6 AM. One major benefit I found is that they also have extensive gluten-free options!
They are well versed and responsive to allergy concerns, as this morning I asked if a particular item had gluten in it. The cashier then took the time to check the allergen booklet to see if there was any concern. There was not. I am very thankful for that cashier because they displayed a discipline and hard work when some Pain In The Butt Customer is asking about allergy concerns. I appreciate that!
They have a variety of foods, but I recommend any of the foods they have. They also cater to people who are Paleo eaters, with a few desserts or pastries that are Paleo friendly.
Personally, one of my favorites is their cold brew coffee with light coconut milk. It is a George Howell brand rocket fuel that is flavorful and even craved on a winter morning. There chia pudding is adorned with fresh cut fruit, jam, and peanut butter, giving it a variety of flavors. Their GF sandwiches and wraps are ample.
Pricewise, you may find comparable options if you can wait until 7 or 8 AM, but Pressed Cafe is hard to beat if you're an early bird and want consistent high quality foods. If you can't make it to the Newton area, make sure to check their website. They are located around the greater Boston area, too!

We have been coming to O'Hara's for over 16 years and have never been disappointed. Great food choices even for Gluten Free diets. We usually eat dinner and order a second to go. Prices are reasonable, staff is very pleasant and accommodating, inside is clean and always beautiful outdoor decorations. Doesn't get any better than this. Keep up the outstanding food and service!

First I’d like to say, their reservation system is great. You can basically get into a queue ahead of time to make sure you get a spot as they do not take reservations. The staff were very friendly and the spot itself is pretty interesting looking. There is a lot to look at when you walk in. The food itself was very good. They also had many options to pick from. The main issue is with allergies. First, they are very knowledgeable about what is safe and what is not safe. The issue is we he ordered a breakfast meal that indicated it could be made gluten free. The waiter had stated the hash browns were not in fact gluten free so we were offered a fruit cup. The fruit cup was bland and most likely not fresh. Not the end of the world, however we were charged an extra fee for the substitution which the waiter did not mention. So, the item should not be labeled gluten free or the up-charge should be mentioned beforehand. Or, the up charge should be fully removed if the item is gluten free. This spot is definitely worth going to but I will not be returning any time soon.

My organization held a 20-person staff dinner in Social's private event space recently, and I was completely blow away by the experience. Bill Costa worked with us in the weeks leading up to the event to help us plan a really lovely event, including working with us to design a custom multi-course menu with our logo on it. There were plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free menu options, and we were told the chef could take a request for a vegan dish to cover our vegan staff as well. The private event space was spacious and nicely isolated from the rest of the restaurant; the food and drinks were quality; the price was excellent; and the service was truly above and beyond. Staff appreciated the free validated parking, and it was especially convenient for our staff who were staying at the Four Points hotel. It was a five star experience in every way, and for a fraction of the price we would have paid elsewhere. I really cannot say enough good things!

I was very happy with my takeout experience! There was someone waiting at the side door to hand out takeout orders so you don’t have to enter the restaurant. They have a separate gluten free section of their online takeout menu to make GF ordering easy. The food was delicious and well packaged in the to-go containers. We will be back :)
