We popped in here on Fathers Day never heard if this pub before we highly recommend it ! DOG FRIENDLY ! children friendly too Just overall friendly great polite service with a smile nothing too much trouble gluten free Fish & Chips were lovely as was the roasts ! Especially the Yorkshires ! A must visit if you are local or visiting this pretty part of Essex Thank you for a great experience we will be back 👍

What a lovely place with such excellent service and really yummy Sunday roast. There is never enough gravy in most subday roasts but not at Mersea Barns! A whole gravy boat for the table! My kids have allergies and so many places we go to eat it's complicated and we are made to feel like an inconvenience but the staff at Mersea Barns went out of their way to be kind and accomidate our dietary needs. Good to see a couple of dairy free/ gluten free things at the counter too makes a world of difference to feel included when you have allergies.

I can not thank the staff at Level Best Enterprises enough for the wonderful homemade lemon drizzle cake that we had with our coffees today. It was gluten-free and dairyfree and was such a treat. Hardly anywhere in Colchester does gluten free and dairy free, and it was an absolute joy! Thank you so much. Your homemade offering is exceptional and I loved all the Christmas goodies!

Genuinely the best cake I have ever eaten. I was really sad when they left London and moved to Colchester but I have even driven to Colchester to have my fix! The new shop is so beautifully decorated, perfect atmosphere and location. The cakes are amazing there are also choices of vegan, gluten free etc. Staff lovely, nice packaging. Would highly recommend. I really want to try the afternoon tea!

We ordered food from here for our Christmas Dance Party buffet. A selection of sandwiches with Christmas flavours, sausage rolls, scotch eggs, dips and veggie sticks and quiche. We have a few people in the group with food allergies as well as sensitive to gluten, vegetarian and vegan . Brunch offered options for everyone! Not just “something to eat” but rather a good selection for everyone to have a nice meal. All the trays and packs were perfectly labelled and the food was delivered on time as agreed. The attendees of the party came out of their way to let me know that they enjoyed the food. I will happily recommend for your event. Making an order is pretty straightforward and you can get good advice and help from the team about what to orded. They also let me know if I was ordering too much for the amount of people. Thank you so much, Brunch. You really contributed to our party to be a great success. Highly Recommended!

My daughter is a Celiac and cannot consume wheat or gluten. Although subway do not sell gluten free bread/rolls the staff were more than happy to allow me to buy some in the COOP and then use those for a Ham/Chicken/Turkey and Cheese, toasted Roll. They cleaned the salad bar top just in case and smiled and talked the whole way through. Just like my daughter did while eating her first ever subway, it may not sound like much but when you are deprived of the normal treats it means a lot when the staff go out of their way to help. It's a really lovely, unique place. And the gluten free pizza was the best I've found in Colchester. It was served cold and then when it was heated for me, the parma ham hadn't been removed, so it was sweaty and tasted weird! I hate complaining a second time, so I pulled a lot of it off

What a wonderful addition to Colchester ! We had a full English breakfast [gluten free was no problem], and pancakes with bacon and chantilly cream. Lovely coffee, nice staff, delicious food. 👌

Popped in after a visit to the dentists, hoping to grab some breakfast, but I was too late as it was 12pm. However, the lovely staff member did me a strong black coffee (very tasty, strong without being too bitter), offered me some toast and tried to cater to my gluten free diet, and later on returned with a packet of GF crisps as they had finished breakfast time. Very thoughtful service, and the sofas at the front of the shop are extremely comfortable, I did not want to leave.

The food was amazing and with one person in our party being gluten intolerant they went above and beyond to accommodate her dietary requirements. The waiter we had was so attentive with a refreshing sense of humour. We will definitely come back again! The only negative I can say is that we were one of two tables so the atmosphere was subdued but the food and especially the service was outstanding.

Went in there today whilst visiting Colchester with my family ordered 3 coffees and 2 sandwiches and gluten free toast, what can I say. Awesome best tuna sandwich EVER the coffees were superb and the staff super friendly .Highly recommended..well done guys

We visited Coffee Hog in PrettyGate for the first time. Lots of lovely cakes and treats available to choose from and I was super happy to see they also offered gluten free items. The Staff member seemed to be really clued up on what was gluten free and what wasn’t which made me feel really reassured. I love that they have a toy area for children to explore, which means parents and carers can enjoy their coffee and a chat in peace. Will definitely visit again. :) x

As a coeliac, eating out can be a challenge, but manager Gareth took the time to go through each option and gluten-free alternative the chefs could prepare. The level of care was outstanding, and I felt completely at ease. The food arrived quickly and tasted incredible! Highly recommend this restaurant for both the service and the quality of the food.

We absolutely loved dining at Roxi. The place felt really warm and vibrant. The food was delicious with great gluten free options and a brilliant espresso martini! If you’re looking for somewhere with a cosy and yet modern interior this is the place for you. You’re greeted with a smile and great service. The food and drinks weren’t too rushed leaving you feel really welcomed. We shall definitely be back again.
