Tiptree Tea Room

Drove nearly an hour to come for a tea and cake with the dog as it states on the website its dog friendly only be told they couldn’t have dogs in because they were short staffed. They also said they announced it but there was nothing on their social media so I’m not sure where they expected people to see it. Especially as their last post was about a doggie menu! Woman was rude and unhelpful and there were 3 families in the queue with dogs that had turned up to be directed to two tables in the car park that were already occupied. Gluten free options were also terrible so do not recommend for coeliacs

Excellent museum. Very interesting and some great exhibits. Tearoom is superb. Lunch was very generous size, tasty and an excellent experience. We ordered a second pot of tea and scones. They were warm and delicious with cream and Tiptree jam. I had gluten free scone.
