Great selection of gluten free dining options with a separate gluten free menu as well as vegan and vegetarian. I had the pear salad and nachos. All gluten free and tasted great.

We came to El Charro while staying the night in Carlsbad and it was amazing! The quesabirra tacos were some of the best I’ve ever had. The consommé was super flavorful as well. We will definitely come back here when we stop in Carlsbad again. I’ll make sure to take pictures next time, it looked so good that I ate it all before I could remember to take pictures. My boyfriend got the chile relleno plate and he also really liked it! The staff were super sweet and we liked the self serve sauce bar. Most items on the menu are naturally gluten free because of the ingredients and the use of corn tortillas. I don’t know about cross contamination though because they do use flour tortillas for some dishes. I didn’t get sick though!

Authentic Mexican food! Everyone in the group, kids to adults LOVED everything here. Unique and original dishes, there is something for everyone. The fajitas were unreal! Gluten free and kid friendly! Check this place out!

So cute! And delicious!! We stayed at the fiddlers inn for the night and this is their breakfast place. Great choice!! We had the egg bowl (gluten free! Thank you) and the croissant breakfast sandwich! The Pasteur choices looked yummy too!! Very busy with locals, so you know it’s good!!! Recommend if you’re in town!!
