An absolute must if you’re looking for a hearty breakfast sandwich and coffee to start your day. The food is fresh and very tasty. Good gluten free bread substitutes on their breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Can’t recommend enough. Their Olga Rising biscuit breakfast sandwich is easily in the top three breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had.

A very popular spot for breakfast in Eastsound. Their quiche is really good — it's not light and delicate like some pretentious European bakery, but rich, hearty, stuffed with tasty fillings, and just a little charred on top for some added texture. Paired with a crispy and flaky crust, this is a solid quiche.
The other bakery options are all good, but my favorites are the kouign-amann and the scone.
They have some gluten-free options labeled as "wf" (wheat-free). Some of their options are dairy-free or vegan as well, but aren't labeled as such so you have to ask. I know the trail cookie is both gluten-free and vegan.
The building can get really packed and chaotic. It feels a bit disorganized, so be prepared.

Best view for coffee on the island. I arrive early to the ferry so I can grab a cup of coffee and some food. It overlooks the ferry dock so you can see your ferry coming in from a relaxing, historic venue. Great front porch for the warmer months. New owners have really upgraded the menu and quality of baked goods. We had a gluten free torte that was delicious.
