During my time in Alice, the team at Tea Shrine were diamonds in the rough.
They have an unrivalled plant based menu and lots of tea.
Most dishes are vegan, or can be made vegan/gluten free on request
I'll miss the friendly staff and wonderful food

Beautiful spot to enjoy a lazy breakfast, lunch, coffee, or smoothie. Amazing views of the beach. The menu is great, food & drinks were delicious. Good gluten-free, dairy free options. Their is an area of lawn beside the cafe for kids to run around. Outdoor seating for those with dogs. It's definitely a great spot to visit 😊
A must-visit gem with a fantastic variety of options and exceptional service that’s definitely worth the drive!

Some false advertising, the gluten free options are not actually gluten free. I'd recommend the owner taking the gf off those items to avoid confusion and gluten flare ups

Apparently provides gluten free as mentioned on menu. Ordered a gluten free brownie.. thought the crumb was a little biscuit like.. worst fears confirmed .. was a gluten crumb - went from bad to worse - told 'not sure if brownie gf' ..
Unbelievable
If you are gluten free, do not eat here

The whole experience was fantastic. My husband is coeliac and loved the food. Lots of different dishes for him to eat. It's great to be able to go out and not have to worry about him becoming seriously ill. We both loved it.
What a hidden gem this mall is. Luckily we stumbled across Simply Foods, as we were peckish.
I had the vegetable croquet and spinach/ricotta ball and could not fault it. My mouth was singing!
Sorry there was not much food left for the photos as it was too tasty.
So many choices, gluten free sugar free, vegan...all in all Simply Foods is Simply Delicious!!
One star lacking for no smile with the service.
Great food at a great price! This is our go to place in Palmerston for lunch on the weekend. They have lots of gluten free options on the menu and most are dairy free too!
If you haven’t been to Piccolos yet, you are missing out. The food is delish! They serve very healthy portions, hot and fresh even on delivery, gluten-free and vegan options always available, and the people who work there are so amazing! Best customer service!! I love this place.
Enjoy beachfront vibes and a spacious layout with quick service and a diverse menu that caters to various dietary preferences!

Great location overlooking beach, great layout, and fit out. Despite being quite open, it had enough corners that it was not super noisy.
Menu was extensive, good df and gluten-free options. Lunch was divine, chicken & avocado open grill with delicious salad & chips, yum.. i would return for that routinely! Sandwiches are good. Juice & smoothies were yummy, too.
Service was friendly & fairly efficient. The only reason I gave it 4, not 5 stars, was that service could be improved. Table service would be an improvement. Also, when we went up to order, we were enquiring about menu items & she was not super helpful. The food was a bit slow coming out, but service was ok, it just seemed rushed (it was busy). Table water.. filling jugs yourself was a pain.. can they not be prefilled in a better container? This took ages, it was a very slow filter, gave up after halfway. Small matters, but resolved, could make it a 5/5
Overall, I enjoyed our lunch & would return.
Quirky and cozy, this hidden gem offers impressive cafe fare with vibrant options, all while nestled near a playful backdrop for a warm vibe.

If you want excellent Cafe fare, including unusually good options for gluten/dairy free as well as vegan options, then this cosy out-of-the-way Cafe is for you. They manage great taste and presentation as well as generous serves. It's unobtrusive situated around the back of a creche playground which adds to a safe, welcoming feel. Hearing the laughter of little children is never a bad thing!

Surprising find in Katherine. A mix of Indian and Vietnamese food, and some fish and chips etc - the Bun Bo Hue was our favourite. Lots of gluten free options especially on the Asian side of the menu.

If you’re travelling through Tennant Creek and feel like a Coffee or a café meal, I can highly recommend the staff and shop as a whole. We just wanted a light lunch and chose Bacon and egg toasties, being Coeliac I asked about gluten free food and they said that they had a great range.
The chef said because gluten free bread is small size he made mine using 3 slices.
Food is either dine in or takeaway.
Experience top-notch coffee and surprising options in this outback gem with a vibe that feels both welcoming and unique.

Yummy food, fast service and a lovely family environment. So many options if you are gluten free…Try the Carbonara! This is our go-to cafe. Looking forward to my next iced coffee, Delicious.
The Harvest Press is a hidden gem! The best cold pressed juices in Darwin and absolutely delicious açai and smoothie bowls, even better they were gluten free for me :) Great place to grab a coffee and a healthy snack, definitely my go to when I need a pick me up!
We were so lucky to rock up on the same night they were trialling their new menu. My partner is coeliac so seriously gluten free (not trendy gf) and our 21 month old baby is a happy playing toddler. We were asked if we wanted to sit near the Kid Zone, which of course we did. There were puzzles and blocks and cars for her to amuse herself with, and it looked like fancy computer games if you had older kids. We were well out of the way from the childless diners and therefore felt relaxed and comfortable from the get go.
The menu was great, we first thought we'd just splurge on the two courses for $38, but after seeing the buffet dessert we felt the extra $5 was worth it. The entree and dessert are self service buffet, but it's really the mains that are the stand outs! We ordered the barramundi at the waiters (Jayesh - a really great waiter) recommendation, and the kangaroo- both (we share our dishes) were superbly cooked and divinely sauced (if that is a word?); and were able to be made gluten free. We also bought some sparkling wine, which wasn't cheap, but for prices up here, wasn't bank breaking either. We also had great attentive service from Toby and Logan. Toby especially made a point of looking after the kid zone even though we had promised to tidy our small hurricanes block mess.
Lastly, the chefs (Haylee and Tom, I believe; I asked Toby to jot down everyone's name) were fabulous at accommodating to our gluten free diets, so much so, that when I asked about what dessert was gf for my partner, (even though there was a few more basic options) they bought out a special gf dessert they had left over from somewhere... Obviously that may not be common practice.
All in all, the bill was a splurge, but it was not ridiculous. And it was definitely worth it... How often are you going to find a fancy, fresh, family friendly, and great service restaurant, minutes after watching the most incredible sunset over Uluru? Thank you everyone (even those not personally mentioned) for a great night!

What a great find this place was. The staff were friendly and helpful, the menu was good and offered gluten free options. Food and the coffee was good.

Great food with plenty of gluten free options. Staff are settled now and have great service. Busy cafe and can be difficult to get a table at popular times (Saturday mornings). But give 10 or 15 mins and you should be right.

If you're searching for the ultimate coffee experience paired with a diverse array of delectable foods, look no further than Perk & Palate. This gem of a coffee spot boasts an extensive menu that caters to every palate, whether you're a coffee connoisseur or a foodie at heart.
The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing coffee break or a casual meal with friends. Their baristas are true artisans, crafting each cup with precision and care. The espresso is rich and robust, the lattes are velvety smooth, and the cold brews are refreshing and invigorating.
But not only about the coffee, its remarkable variety of food options. From hearty breakfast items to fresh salads, gourmet sandwiches, and indulgent pastries, there's something for everyone. Also their selection of gluten-free and vegan options ensures that all dietary preferences are catered to.
Kudos for Perky team!
Lovely place to sit ,eat and refresh after walking through the Botanical Gardens , with birdlife all around to watch(inside and outside dinning) .Great food ,drinks and all meals on the menu can be made Gluten Free !! Great little place. Would have loved an area with air con but they had big fans to circulate air and shade. Food was healthy and delicious with gluten free, vegetarian/vegan options available.

Lovely traditional Irish pub on the inside & seating overlooking the waterfront outside. The meals were standard prices, service was friendly and food was really nice. Good dietary options for gluten-free & dairy free folk. Yummy steak & lamb shanks, vegetables were good. Great specials, too. We did go on a Thursday, so it was a bit quiet, which was pleasant. The only improvements were that the window sils by the booths overlooking outside were a bit dusty & the mash was a bit chunky in parts, but good.
Apparently, they have live music sometimes as well, which would be great. Recommend a visit.
I am celiac and they made me a gluten free toasted cheese and ham sandwich and they made sure it was not contaminated and it tasted amazing!!!!! Was no nice and accomodating!!! THANKYOU!

This is my go-to spot for a consistent breakfast feast with my family - we can never finish it all, huge portions 👏 The food & service is always A+, it’s nice not having to go out to Coolalinga to try the food this kitchen serves up. Love the breezy outdoor area, one of the few places in Darwin you can sit outside & not sweat 😂 The gluten free fritters, avocado toast & chorizo & hollumi bake are always exceptional. Thanks again guys!
