The Blacksmith have made cakes for my family birthdays for years. This year, I only gave the 48 hours(!) to make a significant 3 level 50th birthday cake, custom designed with dribbling gold icing and a cascade of flowers. They did it perfectly, and their fee was appropriate for the work. Not only did it look incredible, but it tasted excellent, and was gluten free. So as far as their cake service goes ... it's 5 stars from us. Thank you Neredine and Trish.

The best of everything! The staff are wonderful and super helpful.
They offer gluten free and even though they confused my order they went above and beyond to correct it. A must visit when in Belgrave.
Cozy, rustic cafe with dedicated gluten-free prep and a warm, quirky ambiance.

As I am unable to respond to you I will edit this post. It’s obvious that you or your staff overheard PART of a conversation I had outside with my husband as it wasn’t mentioned to anyone or written here! Yes, $10 is a lot to pay for toast but I am used to paying through the nose as a celiac. Your high quality bread was cut into a wedge missing the crust from one side. The butter needed to be poured onto the bread as it had been put in the microwave, but just as well as the bread was barely warmed in the toaster. My husband also wasn’t happy as the French toast was like leather and as someone else said “the best part was the strawberries” The reason for the one star was based on the two meals today and previous visits not as you guessed or overheard “paying an extra $1”. We were regular customers. But thank you and you too have a nice weekend.
