One of my favorite restaurants in Orlando. I have a gluten allergy and they always take wonderful care of me. Everything is delicious although I LOVE the crispy chicken. The salsa is also out of this world.
With amazing vegan and mind-blowing meat substitutes, this cute spot impresses with delicious flavors and eco-friendly options.

If you're looking for a dining experience that combines flavor, innovation, and compassion, a vegan restaurant is a great choice. Vegan food has evolved beyond basic salads and tofu dishes, offering rich, satisfying meals that even non-vegans can enjoy.
The atmosphere of most vegan restaurants tends to be warm and welcoming, often with a modern or eco-conscious vibe. Many emphasize sustainability, offering eco-friendly packaging, locally-sourced ingredients, and a menu that reflects seasonal changes. Whether it's a cozy café or a sleek, upscale dining space, the ambiance typically complements the wholesome, plant-based menu.
The food itself is often the star of the show. From hearty bowls filled with grains, veggies, and proteins to creative dishes like cauliflower steaks, jackfruit tacos, or plant-based burgers, there’s a vast variety of flavors and textures to experience. Vegan cheese, dairy-free cream sauces, and plant-based meat substitutes have come a long way, making many dishes feel indulgent without compromising on ethics or health.
One standout feature of many vegan restaurants is their ability to cater to multiple dietary restrictions. Whether you're gluten-free, nut-free, or soy-free, the variety of choices makes it easy to find something that works for you.
Service at vegan restaurants is generally friendly and knowledgeable, with staff eager to help newcomers navigate the menu and explain unfamiliar ingredients. Many places also have a focus on providing nourishing, balanced meals rather than just "junk food."
With fresh, house-made pastas and a cute vibe, this spot is a winner for flavorful dishes and attentive service.

Visited in November 2023 for dinner. Experience was fabulous overall. Drinks were solid, I had a couple sangria, and my wife had a variations a Moscow Mule.
Food, we had an Argentinian Chorizo appetizer (that came out after our dinners), that was very tasty. Wife had a trout dish with asparagus, she said it was VERY good. I had the lasagna, and i exaggerate NOT when I say it was the BEST lasagna I have ever had in my life!! It was rather moderately priced too, added bonus.
Restaurant is in a quiet residential area, lo-key unique surroundings. We actually could walk to restaurant from where we stayed, but it didn’t look like parking would be difficult.
Dessert was a very unique looking and tasting pumpkin crème brule. Wife really liked it, I was a bit ambivalent towards it.
Also, someone on staff has a good music ear because they play some solid music while you dine.
My wife is gluten free, and while they did have a couple of options on the menu, it would have been nice to see more.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Experience a vibrant atmosphere with a diverse menu, delicious flavors, and solid value during happy hour.

I had the best experience, so safe for those with allergies! I have gluten and lactose intolerances. They have an extensive allergen chart online, as well the menu is clearly marked GF. Their own website says to please ask to speak to a manager about allergies, which I did. His name is Jerry and he kept an eye on my ticket himself, and knew everything about the menu. I had a mixed green salad with cilantro vinaigrette, salted baked potato (so good!), and a NY strip steak (one of the best I’ve ever had). Being lactose intolerant, the typical steak was not safe for me because of the marinade/shared wood grill, so Jerry had them sear my steak separately, simply seasoned, and finished in the convection oven. I was worried it wouldn’t be great, but I was so wrong! I will definitely be back. Sometimes the servers aren’t super knowledgeable, so always ask for the manager and you’ll be fine.
Enjoy a cozy vibe with delicious, hearty bowls and standout desserts that'll keep you coming back for more!

This place was great! Vibes were there for sure. Had many milk alternatives for no extra cost, which is amazing. I had a con leche, with macadamia, from Milkademia, which is a favorite. The baristas were nice and knowledgeable. My husband had a siphon coffee, which was both interesting and delicious. He even got to choose between a variety of beans. Gluten-free and vegan options for food as well. Tons of local artists' art available for purchase. House made syrups were awesome and had a couple for sale. Craft sodas. Komcucha. Loose leaf teas. Hot cocoa. Food available from local Buttermilk Bakery. No one turned away for lack of funds. Everyone should be able to afford a good cup of coffee, just ask the staff. Please don't abuse this great system!

The food wasn’t bad. I had the duck, but man it was salty. She has the salmon and she said it was very good. Unfortunately they DO NOT have gluten free pasta. They’ll give you some options but then you get tasteless red potatoes. NO gluten free dessert. Their smoked old fashion was very good. It’d be nicer if the waiter would leave the lid on my drink that way, I would have had time to take a cool picture.
This place is good pizza place. Ordered several times from here and not disappointed so far. I'd offer *14-16 gluten free as well since they already offer *12.

Called ahead to inform them of gluten allergy, they were able to make baked corn chips ahead of time for us. I had the ceviche and al pastor tacos. Most of the menu was able to be modified to be safe!

Oh my gluten-free delicious. And vegan also. Chicken salad wrap had me saying yummy with each bite. Hubby had the Gobbler. It is the wholeThanksgiving meal in a roll, a slight sloppy. He was pleased. They even had a small section of gluten-free desserts. Tiramasu was different, yet a pleasant nutty - coffee taste.
All in all, we will be returning. Yum yum.

Finally got to try the @throwsomeshadeorl it’s such a cute place. I love @eatdrinkthriveorl and was anxious to try. I prefer the food options for gluten free at Thrive but lamp and shade do have some decent options. Not noted on the menu but the server was very helpful. My hope is they can use a gf gochujang and make some more options like they have at thrive. 💕💕🙏🙏 So appreciated. Go check them out. We sat in the lounge area bc there were no tables available but it was quite comfy there! Good times. 💕
Super friendly. This is one of the only places I can go to get a beer that’s gluten free, which is a fun treat. Drinking an IPA like a normal human - a truly novel experience.
A sought-after spot with a diverse menu and a welcoming vibe, perfect for a fun outing with friends.

This was a suggestion when we asked where to go for celiac dishes.. and they did not disappoint. Shane was wonderful, and he was training a new server. Food came out in a timely manner, and the service was impeccable!! Great place will recommend !!!!
Not very helpful if you have questions about allergens in their breads. Didn’t feel safe eating here since they couldn’t answer basic questions about allergens. No gluten or wheat free options that I could tell. The menu does have vegan options if that’s what you’re after.
Great vibes, accommodating staff, and a variety of options to satisfy all tastes make this spot a must-visit!

I have Celiac disease and was able to speak to the owner/chef. Everyone was so nice to help me know all of the ingredients. I was able to find many gluten free options. I ordered the pulled pork, cabbage slaw, and green beans with no corn bread. It was all DELICIOUS! Five stars for sure!
An awesome spot known for its careful attention to allergies, creating a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Sad 😢. I used to love first watch so much. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years. It was always the first choice for delicious high quality food and dietary options. Over the last several years, I have watched it go down, down, down. Today was my final visit. I came for brunch on my birthday in March and was willing to give it another shot when I was in the area this morning and needed some good nourishment. I called ahead to place an order and 1) they stopped serving gluten free pancakes. This set them apart from Denny’s and IHOP by having a more modern menu option for those with gluten intolerance. 2) I thought it was just that day when it happened on my birthday, but their “grits” are instant cake batter. It’s just a lump of tasteless yellow cake mix. It honestly gives jailhouse vibes. The bacon was undercooked and flavorless. I’m just so disappointed, guys. You used to be the best! Another one bites the dust, unfortunately. Don’t waste your money or time here. Even Cracker Barrel could’ve done a better job. What a bummer.
Empty yet you couldn’t get a table, their online menu showed lots of gluten free options but the servers were unaware of any. Avoid if you have allergies.
Great place to eat! you better get a reservation in advance because this place is popular! Friendly staff, solid menu, great cocktails. Several gluten free options.

We just visited this vegan restaurant and we were delighted. The entire menu is gluten free and dairy free, which was perfect for us. The food was delicious, full of flavor and with very varied options.
The atmosphere is very nice and cozy, ideal for families. Plus, the restaurant has a special space with toys for kids to play with while the adults enjoy the food, a detail we really appreciated!
Without a doubt, an excellent experience. We felt very welcome and definitely plan to return. Highly recommended!
