We came because of the GLUTEN FREE options - any sandwich or wraps could be made with gf bread or bagels. Enjoyed hearty breakfast sandwiches, excellent coffee, calm atmosphere. I can imagine it is really full and loud when lots of students are here. On a Sunday morning it was relaxed. Great service. Seemed to not quite have enough chairs for all the tables. Would definitely come again.
A cozy spot with a welcoming vibe, offering a variety of options and all-day breakfast that keeps diners coming back for more.

Butterburr's Restaurant in Pocatello is a hidden gem! I recently had a wonderful experience dining there. The restaurant has a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere, perfect for a casual lunch or dinner. They offer a variety of homestyle comfort food options, and I was particularly impressed by their gluten-free selections. Overall, I highly recommend Butterburr's for a delicious and satisfying meal.
Expect a laid-back vibe with a clean atmosphere, perfect for a cozy date night, though the prices can feel a bit steep.

Service was slow. It is definitely a sit down and not hurry kind of dinner. Very clean. I absolutly love that they have a gluten free menu, just ask for it. My food was great! I had steak and potatoes with the shrimp cocktail. Cocktail sauce is good, but extra burn in the nose kind of spiciness with the Wasabi in it. My hubby's Philly was overpriced and not fantastic. We did not have dessert. All in all a nice date night out or fancy place to sit and eat. It was alot of money thou for just 2 people.
Enjoy a fun breakfast experience with upbeat service and a variety of menu options that cater to diverse tastes!

Our waitress was the absolute BEST!! I wish I could remember her name to give her proper attention. She made a breakfast out, while visiting our kids in Pocatello, so much fun!! Would 100% go back again! And we appreciate the gluten free and friendly menu options!

I've had a couple Off The Rails beers in the last year, but this is my first trip to the brewery. I went twice while the daughter was busy with other business.
Good menu with old-reliable styles and more modern takes. I had a flight one visit and the bigger IPA and barleywine on the second. The IPAs were all pretty good, but the standard styles seemed to have a "house flavor" that wasn't offensive, just not welcome.
The food looks solid and there are gluten free options. Just had some chips and salsa on my 1st visit.
I really wanted to get a crowler of the barleywine to take home, but they allegedly don't have a crowler machine anymore. This is a problem all across eastern and southern Idaho, seems like nobody has a crowler machine and every place that has one, nobody knows how to use it.
Really big inviting space seems about right for a college town, but the space has different areas that allow separation and a little privacy if you want. I enjoyed both visits at the bar.
Super easy to get to and is on the main drag in downtown Pocatello.
Discover a standout gem in Pocatello with a vibrant atmosphere, impressive menu, and a fun crowd that makes each visit memorable.

By far the best place to go for lunch in Pocatello! Palate stands out from the usual smaller town fare with menu offerings you would normally only find in big cities. Every time I pass through town I stop for food and they have never failed to impress.
Food comes in good-sized portions and the presentation is always great (while it won't change the flavors, it does show a level of care imo).
For the dietarily challenged: my wife is vegetarian, and I have both dairy and gluten intolerances so eating out can sometimes be a challenge for us, particularly in smaller towns. The kind people at Palate happily catered to whatever we needed. While I would call it gluten-friendly not gluten-free, they do their best in a mixed environment and genuinely seem to care.
Service has been friendly and accommodating every time we've been. We've enjoyed many conversations with the servers there.
The crowd has been primarily college-aged each time we've gone. Rgardless of your age bracket, the food here is fantastic and I highly recommend you check it out whether you're in town or passing through.
Only negative for this place is parking. Plan on parking on the street during busy hours. They have a small lot, it's hard to get in and out of, and it's usually full.
No gluten free options. Small servings. Food overcooked and dry. Mashed potatoes were so bad my 4 year old wouldn't eat them (and neither would my husband). Definitely not going back.

Went to trivia night. I was nervous going into a bar alone as a young girl but the bartender was nice and made me feel welcomed & comfy and the environment isn't rowdy, it's more adult. Trivia was structured well and had fun questions! Also they have gluten free buns for the burgers and it was super good. Parking was easy too, just right across the street.
