I have celiac disease and a wheat allergy. I've been able to eat the Baja bowl without any problems. I like that you can ask for it to be "gluten friendly" on their app when you order it. My only complaint is that the chicken can be tough and have gristle in it. Other than that it's one of my go to's for fast food.
A hidden gem with a casual vibe, offering fresh, delicious dishes and a unique menu that keeps customers coming back for more.

The food was awesome! We’ve never had this type of Brazilian food before; it’s very light and fresh. Can’t believe we have this in Utah, wish there were more locations. Great gluten free spot with delicious sugar-free avocado shake. Kind and friendly service.
Discover a cozy spot with incredible crepes that have everyone coming back for more, perfect for both sweet and savory cravings.

I had always wanted to try this place but ever since I went gluten free, I thought that I never could. When I found out that they had gluten free options, I was so excited! My husband and I had a great experience here & my gluten free crepe tasted amazing!

Normally my husband loves this place, he has a gluten allergy so he can eat here, it's 20 for one hamburger and frys so pricy. Went Saturday and the food was a big disappointment, the farm burger was not cooked all the way and it was hard and tasted like it sat around, the fry were the same and they didn't even add the seasoning for the seasoned fry. Everything tasted just like it got warmed up.
Clean and efficient with a welcoming vibe, this spot is loved for its fast service and attentive crew, making every visit a great experience.

Me and my family usually love Costa Vida, but one of the reasons we loved Costa Vida was their commitment to offering gluten free options with careful food preparation for gluten allergies. Me and my wife both have Celiac disease, and cross contamination is a real concern for us. When we went this last time, they did their whole “change the gloves and wash their hands” routine which I appreciated, but I had just watched the last 10 people in front of us have their meat weighed out on top of their flour tortilla and then the excess just tossed back until the bin. That meat had been in direct contact with gluten and was being tossed over and over again onto a flour tortilla and back into the bin, then back onto someone else’s flour tortilla then back into the bin. Weighing the meat could be done on a separate tray if it really MUST be weighed, but it should NOT be done on top of each customers food with the excess tossed back into then bin. Needless to say, we may end up going elsewhere, which breaks my heart because we have enjoyed Costa vida for years! PLEASE change this policy and stop cross contaminating your food simply because you want to weigh the meat!
The menu has a fair coverage of items available, what we tried was really pretty decent, but we had some hiccups. Eating in, the air is so cold, and the fries are so thin, they cool off really quickly. Having kids with us, they were really particular about not liking cold fries. The sandwiches were good, I tried the tri-tip cali-style "spicy", spouse tried the tri-tip steak torta which has a good flavor but the texture neither of us could really handle. If texture doesn't bother you, it'll be great. The spicy wasn't really spicy to me, but I like some spicier foods, it's kind of a mid-westerner-spicy kind of spicy. Mid westerners don't do spice, so for them, it would be spicy. The kids liked the kids meals aside from the fries getting cold 🥶 before they got them. One disappointment from the menu was our oldest wanted chicken tenders or chicken fingers, but something that was breaded and fried. The closest option was Frankie four fingers which is 4 slices of grilled chicken, fairly plain. We've spent similar amounts at other places and got what we thought was a better bang for our buck. The caveat to the price, there are a lot of items that are vegan, gluten free, etc., so they cater to a trendy hip crowd that is looking for those things, and usually those things aren't cheap, so I can't fault them too much on price because the quality of the food is closer to a home made quality in many respects.
A lively spot with bustling energy and attentive service, perfect for a great meal that caters to your specific needs.

Busy, busy time of day and everyone was hustling to serve the patrons. The GM served us - He did ok 😉 Seriously, the service from everyone was excellent. And their gluten free really was gluten free. Thanks.

We decided to go to Joes Cafe on April 22nd 2023 because of an article we read about Joes in the Deseret News. It said best of the best in Utah. We definitely were not disappointed!! We were greeted by Joe, the owner!! What?? The OWNER!! Yes the owner! He is GREAT! Where else can you go and be greeted by the owner!
The staff was amazing! Their costumer service was top notch!! The food was great as well and they even had gluten free toast for my husband! The grits are sooo yummy!! Thanks Joe and Joes staff for making us feel like family!! We definitely will be back!
I love how they have rice noodles and tofu for when you make your noodles, because I eat gluten free and vegan and seeing that just made me exited to try ut, plus it was really good

Absolutely love it! Owner is gluten-free, so I was able to order sushi gluten-free for the first time since being diagnosed with celiac disease. Your store is beautiful! Thank you so much!
Quirky spot with a cool vibe, but check for drive-thru options as the dining room might be closed when you visit.
