I'm very disappointed that they got in a new batter of some sort that's super light and not very battery. Being gluten free I enjoyed that crunchy thickness and now it's just kind of a mushy cornmeal whatever on the outside that's not anywhere near where it was. Hopefully it'll change back. You really felt almost like it was out of a bag instead of their old homemade feeling thick and crunchy.

As someone with Celiac, it's hard to find a GOOD place to eat where the staff is also kind to you and doesn't treat you like an inconvenience because of Celiac. I tried the Charred Burger Bar in Omaha today and will definitely be back! The waygu beef was 10/10 but I was just very impressed by the GF bun that didn't fall apart immediately, and wasn't gritty, as well as the fact that they have a separate fryer for fries + GF friendly oil. The server also had a list of celiac safe dips and sauces! Win win.

My wife and I had an amazing experience at The Cheesecake Factory, thanks in large part to our wonderful waitress, Pat. We were seated right away, and Pat brought our drinks almost instantly. Her attentive and friendly service made our evening unforgettable—thank you, Pat! The gluten-free options and the SkinnyLicious menu made it easy for both of us to find delicious meals that fit our dietary needs. We were impressed that there were gluten-free options on every page of the menu, even for dessert! We enjoyed the garden salads, spicy shrimp pasta (gluten-free), and the four cheese pasta. The portions were huge, and while my only small complaint was the shrimp portion (around 60 grams), my wife loved her four cheese pasta so much, she polished off the entire dish and salad (she’s 122 lbs!). We couldn’t leave without taking home 5 different cheesecakes to enjoy later. Overall, this was a five-star experience, largely thanks to Pat’s exceptional service. We’ll definitely be back!

Being new to Nebraska, we are finding our new favorites for everything, and Honest Abe's is top of our list! We require gluten-free and budget friendly, and they fit the bill. We have used take out and delivery. Very cheerful employees. I originally emailed about gluten-free options and received a pleasant and helpful response immediately! I can't say enough about them. We really enjoy the curry sauce.

Outsnding food. Have a very extensive Gluten free menu. That is much appreciated due to my wife having celiac. Owner even came to talk to us to let us know how serious they take it to make it a safe meal for someone who has celiac.

Honest Abe’s Downtown is hands down one of the best burger spots in Lincoln. One of the biggest surprises for me? Peanut butter on a burger. I had never even considered it before, but after trying one of their specials that featured peanut butter, I was completely hooked. It added this amazing creamy texture and a slight sweetness that balanced perfectly with the savory beef and toppings. Now, I put peanut butter on every burger I make at home—it’s that good. UPDATE: shortly after leaving this review them owner reached out to me to make it right for me getting sick. Today they sent my sister & I both $25 gift cards to be used either at Honest Abes, Stouffers or a Pizza place they own. Sucks I got sick, but I love when a company will admit their mistakes and make it right. Changed my stars because the service is just as important as safe food. I ordered from doordash. Ive eaten here before and never had a problem. I have Celiacs Disease so I have to have it certified Gluten Free. The other two stores not an issue. However within minutes of eating im in the bathroom Glutened. It tasted good, seasoned right except for my "Hammer of Thor" was 10× spicier than it normally is and half the burger was still raw. Also heard from a Door Dasher that its all cooked on the same surface. Maybe yall need to take Honest out of yalls name.

My food was great. I only had a small issue with my granddaughter. She is very young and gets sick as she has celiac. Lunch was fine, as she had a GF bun. Couldn't get fries due to cross contamination, so she had steamed broccoli. All was good until she went up for her free ice cream. They had a snickers ice cream. She asked if it was gluten free, they said yes. It's not a good thing she knows that real snickers aren't GF (she thought it would have been a deconstructed snickers). Anyway, she didn't eat it, they replaced it with vanilla. Thanks for the adjustment, but please, be careful.

So glad I got to stop and enjoy eating here! As a celiac girlie, it's hard to find safe restaurants and even rarer to find ones with robust gluten free menus. This one has it all! I really enjoyed the lamb satay for dinner and the creme brulee for dessert. 10/10 will absolutely go here next time I'm in town!

My mom has a lot of food allergies, (gluten, citrus, nuts, etc) and they did amazing at accommodating her. The owner came and spoke to us to make sure she had food she could eat, and she was even able to eat dessert. It was a fantastic experience.

A couple weeks ago we brought are kids in, it was me and my mom with my five kids and three nephews. We for sure thought it would be a circus. But the staff were so nice and helpful. They let each kid order, gave them their own coloring sheet and it just felt as if they went above and beyond for us. Every time we’ve ever gone for dinner it’s always a great experience but this time was just above all the rest!! Also the chicken bacon ranch taco was absolutely delicious!! They also were super helpful with my mom who is gluten free making sure she was able to enjoy lunch with the rest of us!! Shoot out to employee Tim who is always so friendly and just down to earth!
