Apparently I’m not a fan of gluten free bread and pastries. Things tasted dry, we’re crumbly and just lacked the texture I am used to. Flavors were ok, I’m sure it’s a wonderful place for those with the dietary restrictions.
Experience an incredible assortment of fresh foods, unique selections, and tasty ready-to-eat options, making it a must-visit market.

Wow is this place a treat for coffee lovers. They offer complex, delicious roasts in well crafted drinks. They offer samples at the counter and offer some lovely pastries (gluten free options!) I love a good roaster and this place knocked my socks off! My husband got the hot chocolate and loved it as well!

I have been wanting to come here for years and finally did today. I regret not coming here sooner and we will be back!
My bf has celiac disease so we ordered the bacon and egg (gluten free), Hawaiian cowboy, whole herd, and home on the range (gluten free), and garlic bread. The garlic bread has whole cloves on it and was insanely good, and so was everything else.
The pizza place down the street that we used to go to religiously every week for their Tuesday deal left us hanging after we tried ordering several times over like 30 minutes, so we gave up on them. We had group plans and needed pizza fast. This place knocked it out of the park with the entire group. Thanks for turning our night around!
With a cozy vibe perfect for hanging out or studying, this spot serves up impressive coffee and offers unique samples while you wait.

I love this place. The baristas are always friendly and knowledgeable, the coffee is delicious whether you get drip or an espresso drink, and the pastry options are plentiful for vegans, vegetarians, and gluten free people. I’ve had the drip coffee, latte, and matcha latte and have enjoyed them all. Also, they often have a coffee out to sample, which is delightful while waiting in line and deciding what to get!
A bustling spot with a cafeteria-grocery store vibe, offering a variety of options for all, and a unique $25 dinner-for-two deal with wine.

Great selection of menu items plus a beautiful display of sweet treats in the glass case by the registers. Walk up and order at the counter and then they will bring your order to your table. Beautiful white modern decor. Wine, beer and cocktails. Indoor and outdoor seating. The only thing that would have made it better is a selection of gluten free items.
Chill vibes and a beautiful outdoor seating area make this a go-to spot for any meal, plus it’s dog-friendly!

Always a wonderful dining experience. They have gluten free and dairy free options, including gluten free toast. The staff is always friendly. They are also dog friendly. Their outdoor seating area is beautiful and has a lovely atmosphere. Really great for brunch, lunch, and dinner.
Good customer service. Much improved over last time I was there. I wish they had more info on gluten free options and provided the choice for gluten-free soy sauce, etc. Of all the foods, Sushi and Japanese food are both the easiest and the easiest to make completely authentic AND gluten-free! PLEASE! My spouse and I have been going here for years (before I became aware that I had celiac disease...) and I would hate to end my patronage over this... I hope 🙏 they read my review and take it into account...

Tasty sandwiches at reasonable prices. One of the least expensive places in Old Sacramento to eat. Lots of vegetarian options, as well as other dietary restrictions such as gluten free and lactose free. The pumpkin spice latte is made with their own house-made pumpkin sauce/syrup and it’s amazing.

I challenge you to find a place with more hustle than this place. I challenge you to find a place with more forethought than this place. It’s gonna be hard. Talk about a community staple. This place is small but mighty in what they do. Coffee - sure there’s some. Tea - there’s a whole lot (so much great stuff). Some locally made health conscious foods - you bet.
But what you really can’t escape here is the amount of HEART here. Leo is welcoming and warm and such a great person to just chat with. He has a smile that greets you that can’t be beat, and he is so incredible at converting genuine care in his customers.
When I first went there I observed how he had so many regulars that came in; he knew all their names, he knew about their lives. And he did it all while working a line man that morning.
The next time I went, he called my name when I walked in and made me feel like one of those regulars. You can’t get that at Starbucks. Know what you can get at other places? All the sugar and gluten dominant treats. Sure they have their place, but broadway coffee ain’t it. They really work to be conscious of all those things they stock and make. It’s quite refreshing.
And while we talk about refreshing - don’t forget their teas if you’re smart. I came in with congestion, asked for a recommendation and they mixed teas on the spot for me that were amazing (classy hippie tea!) I highly recommend stopping by and at least scooping up a couple ounces of one (or more!) of their mixes. It’s legit.
The only downside - parking. Some days it’s easy, some it’s not. You gotta work around funky old awkward streets but it could be worse. And it’s not their fault Sacramento is weird. What is their fault? The place is just too damn good. Stop on in. Make new friends. Eat good snacks. Drink great tea (or coffee)!
My favorite meet up place with friends! Baristas are always friendly and helpful. Plus they have my gluten free sandwiches readily available. Never had problems with drink orders 😁.

I was feeling restless with the rain wanted to get out of the house and try something new today. Happily I found Tupi Coffee fit the bill!
The space is great with bright light, windows and plenty of seating.
I was greeted by a friendly barista who was very helpful in selecting my beverage order.
I was drawn initially by the fact that they have Brazilian pastries-specifically the Coxinha which I haven't had since leaving the Bay Area. It's this wonderful crunchy thing, with chicken, potatoes and cheese and it's basically heaven in your face. Yummy.
I also ordered the cheese bread which was savory delight. The texture is similar to mochi in that it used tapioca flour but it is gluten free.
Everything came out hot and I ran back to my car and managed to take a photo before I devoured a couple of them. Sadly I wasn't able to sit and enjoy Tupi today. But I can't wait to go back and have a coffee, a Coxinha and enjoy Tupi.
It is hard to find gluten free food while traveling. It was wonderful to see they have great food choices for food allergies. Everything tasted so fresh and good.
Lots of options from the drinks menu and decent vegan/gluten free bakery options too!

Clean and bright inside. What a wonderful coffee and bakery shop to stop in or stay away.
I saw maybe a handful of sweet options for gluten free. I would say seeing more options available for food sensitivity would be amazing.
No Chai tea lattes either. But honestly they have plenty of other choices available.

This place was such a nice surprise! I stopped to try their coffee, and saw a stack of very strange looking bread called "Injera??" -- when I asked about it the lady was so helpful in explaining that it is a traditional bread made with only Teff and yeast, and is not only extremely healthy, but also gluten free. Since I wasn't too sure about it, she offered me some samples of their vegetarian items to eat with it -- I sat down, tried it, and it was fabulous! And the machiatto coffee was perfect! I'm will be taking family and friends there for this new delight!
Barrio is closed. It’s a very basic coffee shop right now. New ownership and in transition?? Not gluten free and No real food at all besides a few pastries.

Well I'm not big fan of bread bowls orglutenoues yeast packed sandwiches. I do love their brocolanc cheese soup bowl and a chocolate drizzled croissant. Excellent mango teas and the dollar drink club makes your daily stop for their fresh made teas make it worst the stop, nice seating e areas with well lit atmosphere and free wifi and even a plus to charge your portable batter yor smart devices. While always seem to be sercirt guard nearby, it seems vebiune nice and fine establishment, stop by and enjoy a warm hearty dish, it's worth it.

I’ve been here several times since their soft opening a few weeks ago! Great options for gluten free folks! Really fresh and delicious Japanese deli food - I’ve had the onigiri, musubi and coconut pudding. All amazing! The staff are really kind and welcoming and it’s a really cute space.
