Ragamuffin is a HIDDEN GEM! I wish it were closer to LA…this is a must-visit every single time we drive out to Oxnard, Ventura, Camarillo - it is worth the drive specifically for a few special items! They have this one drink called the BBC (blueberry basil cold brew) that is better than almost any other coffee drink we’ve had, period - and we have had a LOT of coffee all over the place. It has a blueberry basil cold foam and it’s insanely good. You can even do a blueberry basil matcha as well! That is also fantastic! Not only that, there are a lot of amazing baked goods here (I got some type of special Nutella croissant, but not sure what it was called, maybe a cruffin?) and some good gluten-free options as well. Plenty of parking, great atmosphere inside, seating inside and out, and of course a great selection of coffee drinks! Check this place out!!

Wow what a great spot! My wife and I visited here 3x in the span of a week! The coffee is top notch - strong and tasty. We tried several of the holiday themed coffees which all delivered. It was also awesome seeing they had great gluten free options for breakfast - the chocolate crepes were so tasty! The breakfast croissant was also bomb. Definitely recommend coming here!
Charming vibe and tasty meals keep visitors coming back, though prices can get a bit steep for certain menu items.

I want to start by saying, that this is a really cute restaurant, with a nice ambience, and wonderful staff.
The food was excellent. The corned beef hash, was well balanced, and delightfully flavorful. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned, and the hollandaise was nice and rich.
The first squeezed orange juice was also delicious... But that's where things get a little weird. While The corned beef I felt was fairly priced, The orange juice was INSANE! A small 8 to 10 oz glass of orange juice, it was $8.50. (I can get a gallon of organic fresh squeezed orange juice at whole foods for $11.99). Had I known it was going to be that expensive, I would have never have ordered it, but I couldn't have known that it was going to be that expensive when I ordered it, because The server did exactly like a good server is supposed to, and asked if I wanted one before I sat down, and was even given a menu.
I had considered getting the French toast, which they can do gluten-free, because they carry Udi's gluten-free bread... But they do charge a premium of $2.99 for it. The thing about the difference between the regular bread, and the GF bread, is that the GF bread is half as thick, and a smaller size. So you're paying a premium, for less than half of the same entree. I understand that cost can be a thing... But a loaf of Udi's gluten-free bread, is $8 at every major grocery store (Even whole foods). I can guarantee, that the premium bread that they use for their thick cut French toast, is quite comparably priced, and you get half as many slices in a loaf.
I've been working in hospitality for 30 years, and have designed and priced many menus. This level of disparity in pricing, is a definite issue.
Thankfully, like I said... The food was delicious and The staff was amazing. Incredibly friendly, ultimately professional, and not the cause of any of my distress (When I brought the subject up, despite already having paid, the manager was kind enough to remove it. I wasn't asking, or expecting it, but they insisted). This problem is all with the parent company for Marmalade Cafe.
Do I recommend eating there... Absolutely. You will not be disappointed in The culinary part of your experience... Just make sure you look at the menu first before ordering anything, because when given the chance, the company will apparently gouge you deep.

This will be my go-to local spot for gluten-free donuts. I did have to order in advance for the quantity needed, but staff was very friendly and helpful over the phone and by text message. Very happy with our order and the services provided, thank you for helping us celebrate a special birthday.

This is my go to spot for lunch or weeknight with the kids. The chilled soups are so refreshing, and they have the most authentic, vegetarian, gluten free recipes too. You can’t go wrong with Sole Soups!
Fast and friendly customer service. You can order ahead of time and pick up the order inside. Besides many varieties of coffee hot or iced, there are decaf and non-caffeine tea and cold juice options (including USDA organic, probiotic, cold-pressed juice options) and a variety of snack options. I did see at least one gluten free snack option for those who need to avoid gluten (meat and cheese snack), but Mod Pizza a couple doors down (about 20 steps away) also has gluten free custom pizza toppings for those whose dietary restrictions must be dairy free (get feta cheese instead, which is not from cows). Choice of seating in direct or indirect sunlight and dining table height or barstool height. Two unisex individually-locking bathrooms. Bathrooms do smell a bit more than some other Starbucks bathrooms. Has some outside seating that is not heated. For heated outdoor seating, there are a number of restaurants in The Oaks shopping mall in Thousand Oaks about a 15 min drive away.
I've been to Panera a number of times over the years and always enjoy their freshly made soups, salads, and breads but this particular location has always been my favorite. Their fully stocked bakery items are a visual panacea that draws you in and makes you want to forget that 'you don't eat gluten' and lures you to come closer if only just to inhale the aroma. I resist and order a bowl of creamy cheddar broccoli soup and a cup of blood orange lemonade of which I devoured every spoonful. Great casual place to have lunch with friends no matter what your eating habits are.
