A cute spot with good vibes, offering a mix of healthy fast-casual options but often forgetting key ingredients and feeling a bit overpriced.

Okay. I do love caffetteria or at least the idea of it, so I’ll still give them a 4, but this has happened too many times not to share. Every single time I’ve gone here they forget something on whatever dish I’ve ordered. When you charge what they charge, you just can’t forget key ingredients (or any ingredients).
Cobb salad is a $17 salad - it’s marked at $16 but usually not enough dressing so I paid an extra dollar for a tiny little container of extra dressing. They forgot the avocado, arguably a key ingredient. They’ve forgotten bacon in the past. They’ve forgotten egg in the past. They’ve forgotten something on nearly every menu item I’ve tried.
Overpriced. Food is good, not great. Nothing too remarkable for the price point. It’s a cute place, though. Vibes are good. I like the idea of it. There aren’t too many places that are healthy fast casual in the area so it’s nice to have the option, but it’s annoying to have to check every time to see if they remembered the key ingredients.
Green goddess dips and chips - fab.
Hummus - no pita bread available.
Variety of sandwiches - good but nothing special.
Variety of plates - great idea, comes out a little lackluster.
Pb&j toast - ugh it is delicious but ordered this for a toddler, and I had to scoop off a layer bc there were full peanuts layered on the top of it and it was served on a very seed-filled bread - both of which most young toddlers can’t quite handle yet. My bad for not asking for a full description of it.
Breakfast items - pretty good.
Pizzas - delicious.
Bakery - great.
Coffee - pretty amateur. Not great at making lattes or specialized drinks from their menu. And why is a not so great mocha $8?
It’s fine. It’s cute. They forget important ingredients often and charge a lot for pretty standard food. If you need something after you’ve ordered, good luck finding someone to help you. Oh a positive here - if you order a salad chopped it is very perfectly chopped. And decent effort and options for gluten free. I’m sure I’ll be back, and you should go too. Like I said, the vibes are good, the branding is cute, but lots of simple sloppy mistakes made at a price that’s a little too high for what it is.
A spot known for its excellent service, richly flavored drinks, and a variety of vegan bakery options in a consistently great atmosphere.

This place has great vegan treats, but I got serious complaints. First of all, the service is so slow! I've never seen baristas this slow. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but man, it's rough. There's no sense of urgency. I shouldn't have to wait 30 minutes for a muffin and a cold brew.
Second, they don't make enough gluten free options. I understand that not everyone wants gf food, but considering the fact that they seem to sell out of their gf options so early, I think they'd be safe to make more.
This cozy spot offers a unique blend of local art, sustainable practices, and a chill vibe perfect for exploring or lounging with friends.

We make a point to visit Shana Cake every time we are in Topeka. My wife is allergic to gluten and, as a result, we have tried various gluten free bakeries and restaurants all over the world. The cupcakes at Shana Cake are my wife's favorite cupcake out of anywhere we have been and all their other treats are excellent as well.
A must-visit spot with a vibrant community vibe, delicious coffee, and unique baked treats that keep locals coming back for more!

My absolute favorite coffee shop in Topeka. I love the coffee, atmosphere, and service here. My favorite thing is that they have fresh, tasty pastries. They offer menu options that meet different dietary restrictions. I love their gluten - free options & look forward to every visit at Circle Coffee. I take all my friends here when I can, and I highly recommend this coffee shop.

I absolutely love t. Loft and it is my go-to restaurant! Being gluten free and health conscious, this place is a god-send. I’ve tried multiple bowls, salads, teas and lattes and it is delicious every time. Staff is incredibly friendly and the restaurant is always clean :) I don’t mind waiting a while since they cook the warm meals fresh to order. Shana Cakes gluten free desserts bring me a lot of joy (especially the Valentine’s Day goodies); it’s hard to find such reliable dedicated gluten free space in Lawrence and this is hands down the best one!

This place is just awesome!!! As someone who is gluten-free, it's always hard to find a good pizza place. This is definitely a good one!!!! Not only that, but I was able to snag a gluten-free cookie they had!!!! I really recommend stopping by this place whether you are GF or not!!!

What a perfect hang out for friends and families! I came last week with a couple friends, we had a great time playing a game from the giant selection. When I saw they had gluten free desserts I knew I had to come back with my family, as my gluten free daughter could share a treat with us while we all enjoyed trying a new game! This is for sure going to become a regular hang out for our board game loving family.

Stopped in yesterday morning to get some work done. I enjoyed some drip coffee. Great service and atmosphere. As someone who can't have gluten, I was delighted to see all of their bakery items are gluten-free. I purchased some cherry almond butter bites and peanut butter bites to-go, which were devoured by me and my co-workers. Can't wait to come back here.
With a boatload of options and yummy coffee, this spot serves up deliciousness that'll keep you coming back for more.

I am so glad that I discovered this place! They even have gluten-free items! The tea was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere was great as well with their quaint decorations. They also have outdoor seating and serve dog treats.

The food is so dang good; I almost cried the house salad was so delicious. I was not crazy about the bread service, but everything else (fried okra, jambalaya, red beans & rice, house salad) was amazing. The cocktails were also delicious and worth coming coming for those alone. Staff was also very accommodating to my partners gluten allergy and helped us pick out something on the menu they could eat.
Service was really good, between being seated, served our food and drinks, and even the manager stopping by at the end of our meal. Only issue was that food came out tragically slow, like, there for two hours slow. But, we weren't in a hurry and it made our date night much more relaxed and enjoyable. Not sure if it was an issue with the kitchen or if waitstaff had relayed to the kitchen that we had no other plans, but just be aware.
The restaurant was pretty empty on a Thursday night and at one point, my wife and I were the only ones. Not the fault of the restaurant, just wish it was a more hopping place. Decor was fine, a little confusing what the vibe the restaurant was going for. But if you're going to a place for the atmosphere in Wichita, what's wrong with you?

Very cute place. The server was so sweet and patient. I had the regular cup of coffee and it was really good. We had breakfast sandwiches, mine was gluten free and I was so excited that they had gluten free options. I even bought a little slice of gluten free poppy seed bread to take with me. If I lived anywhere near Lindsborg I would stop in daily. Unfortunately, we were passing through, but highly recommend!

There’s plenty of seating and light, as well as several gluten free pastry options— I just wasn’t a huge fan of the fritter, it tasted a little savory to me. I also got the matcha latte with the caramel apple sweetener, which I enjoyed.

Stopped by the wooden spoon on our way through Kansas City. our party had the corned beef hash, the lemon ricotta pancakes, the fiesta Philly and a couple of cinnamon rolls. we found the food to be exceptionally delicious and the team member who served us was very helpful in explaining the options and helping us with our order. in addition my wife has celiac. they were able to safely accommodate her and everyone at the table was very pleased with our meal. Will definitely be back next time we are in Kansas City.

I tried their morning honey toast on gluten free bread and it was incredible. (Also the gluten free bread wasn’t a tiny piece like you usually see, it was a good size! Gluten free people know what I mean lol)

This place was such a wonderful idea! With two locations, they offer a home to local home bakers and foodies. I can get Italian sodas and sugar cookies in the same place. And someone looking for vegan, gluten-free or low carb things would be in heaven.

Excellent drink (both coffee and cocktail) and food options. The waffle breakfast sandwich is tasty and different from the usual coffee shop options - and there is a nice selection of gluten free pastries. Coffee is always perfectly made and the Mai Tai was authentic to the original recipe for the drink - not overly sweet. I love that you can enjoy a beachy vibe in the middle of Kansas during winter! I also love that they lean into the beachy vibe without appropriating native culture :)
Best little coffee house. They have vegan and gluten free options for any that need/want them. They have very helpful staff so if you don't see something you're looking for ask for a recommendation.

The pastries are so unique I wish we could have tried them all. You have to give the za’atar bagel a try as well as the baklava cheesecake. If you have dietary restrictions (vegan or gluten free) the staff know all the ingredients and can point you in the right direction. I was told a few items were gluten free (ie an oatmeal cookie, and the financiers) but you’ve got to ask! The coffee was also the best so far in Lawrence after trying a few places on Mass St. Give this place a try, you won’t regret it!
Enjoy tasty, unique smoothies and delicious baked goods with a standout tropical twist and delightful cinnamon rolls!

This review is only over the gluten free items: I had the great club sandwich with GF bread, the fixings were delicious but the bread sadly was far too dry and crumbly. Fell apart as soon as I picked it up. The gluten free pumpkin snickerdoodle was very soft as well but had good flavor. I really loved the tropical harmony with aloe smoothie they offer.

Kind and attentive service and delicious food. I’ve been to this location several times and always have a positive experience. They are great about letting me know what I can order/adjust for gluten and dairy allergies. I tried the Southwest Salad with the Dill dressing (gf/df) yesterday and it was so fresh and yummy!
I’ve always enjoyed everything I’ve ordered, even the gluten free breakfast sandwich. However,my husband and I both thought their breakfast sandwiches had a little bit of a spicy kick to them.

The baristas at il primo are so sweet and genuinely care about the quality of customer’s experiences. I went in and got a redbull spritzer today and when I was walking out, I accidentally dropped my drink and it spilled everywhere on their patio. I came back in with my empty cup and an apology and the woman at the front was already making me a new one. I even offered to pay for a new one but she was insisting on making a good experience for me. Not to mention the drinks are always top notch and they actually have pastries that are gluten free. Thank you!

We got stuck in Lyons, KS for two days on our way home to St. Louis during an ice storm. We were SO thankful to stop at this cute and welcoming coffee shop on our way out of town. And happy they were open amidst all the snow and ice! Our coffee and tea were so yummy, and the baked goods were absolutely DELIGHTFUL. We loved every bit of the experience. We especially enjoyed that all the baked goods were homemade, so delicious. We tried and highly recommend the cinnamon rolls, gluten free muffins, and bagel breakfast sandwiches!

Here are a few photos of the various pastry items I have gotten. I didn't get a photo of the macarons quickly enough - one got eaten first!

We hosted a private event at this location and it was simply spectacular! The coordination with booking was simple, straightforward, and informative. On the day of the event, the staff was helpful, professional, and accommodating to any needs that we had. The food was delicious and we were all impressed with the amount of gluten free options for our guests! Using McClain's made hosting this event super easy and less stressful. The space was beautiful, clean, and everything we needed for a baby sprinkle! We loved working with McClains and look forward to doing it again soon!
Super cozy place with great service. Totally recommend getting some of those little scones. I've chanced the gluten free ones and they seem to be celiac safe!
Cutest little cafe! Allergy friendly. No need to worry of cross-contaminated food! Many gluten free, vegetarian and dairy free options. Staff was extremely helpful and understanding of Celiac and food allergies. The food and coffee was delicious! Thank you to Ari (sorry if spelled incorrectly). She is a total sweetheart and made us out-of-towners feel at home and welcome. My partner said it was the best omelette he’s ever had!

Pickleman’s is my favorite sandwich place ever! You can’t ask for better toasted sandwiches, or an Italian chop salad. Ask for Giardiniera peppers on (almost) anything! The crew is usually efficient and friendly, and the managers are always that way. If you get a personal pizza, the 10” GF crust is actually the way to go even if you’re not looking for gluten free. It’s a better individual portion size, and it actually tastes better too.

Every birthday or special event for my grandparents I send them coffee and lunch from Amanda’s bistro. They are always kind and take my order over the phone and deliver! I don’t know that delivery is a normal thing for them but it just shows how great this place really is. I live in Kansas City so being able to send my grandparents treats has been so nice. This is one of the only places with gluten free options. I appreciate this place!
Not a true gluten free menu, owner put down the waitress who was absolutely knowledgeable and extremely friendly to compensate for his lack of proper information regarding allergy menu. His menu offers gluten free options but there is not dedicated side for grill or toaster. It should be properly changed to gluten friendly. This can truly harm true Celiacs. Owner was absolutely rude and shook his head at having my order sent back even adding comments to other customers about allergies.
