They make the best gluten free and vegan breads. The cinnamon rolls are amazing and should definitely be eaten as soon as you can while it’s still warm

Lovely little shop. They had a lot more unique teas than what I’ve seen at other places along with interesting coffee specials such as a squash latte for fall. They serve all sorts of gluten free items such as pastries and ice cream.

Great breakfast (and lunch) sandwhiches and pastries including gluten free and vegan options. High quality crafted espresso and coffee drinks. Highly recommend for both food and drink options.
So happy that you can customize the lunch items! Also gluten free bread available. Perfect for people with food allergies! (Dairy free, gluten free, IBS)

Was actually able to keep it gluten free by just splitting the generous charcuterie board and sausage sampler with a couple of friends (obv I just didn't eat the crackers) and checking out their hard cider menue - lots of selections. Great spot even if you're celiac
Celiacs can’t eat here. I was so excited to see that they advertise so many gluten free options. Paid $3.50 fee to get cash bc they don’t take card and then when I got up to the counter to order I was told they couldn’t accommodate me because of cross contamination. Please don’t say things are gf if you can’t prepare them gf. It’s really demoralizing to people with food allergies to show up and be refused service.

Old school hippy coffee shop with amazing pastries; small & cozy with shared tables, crowded on weekends. Mini pizzas, danishes, lasagnas, savory scones, Cuban stew…If they run out of what you wanted by the time you order, try something different because that will become your favorite thing. Good place to meet up with your vegan or gluten free friends. The long line moves quickly. No off street parking but has a bike rack in front. Their bread pudding and cinnamon rolls are meant to be shared with a friend or taken on a long hike so they can be enjoyed sitting under a shady oak contemplating your life’s purpose.

Charming setting, great food and all around pleasant atmosphere. Right across the viewpoint of the falls in the Mississippi. Food prices are good, service friendly and quick. A great place to relax on a sunny Saturday morning! Many options with gluten and dairy free.
Great atmosphere here, I could stay and work for sure but today it's coffee and a breakfast sandwich to go. Gluten-free options in baked goodies and sandwiches.

Gigis is a VIBE. The local art is so cool, the people cultivate a good welcoming place in the neighborhood, and the food and coffee are delish! I am celiac and appreciate the many gluten free options including dessert, most of the menu, and soup!!!
They had many gluten free items, including the gluten free scone that was still hot out of the oven. The coffee was very fresh and great tasting, many varietals available.
Authentic pastries with light layers shine here; options vary midweek, and there's a standout flourless raspberry chocolate cake.

Croissant and Almond Croissant were authentic with light delicate layers.
We were there midweek near closing so not as many options as there are on a weekend.
They do have several Gluten-free options for those who are Gluten-free or gluten sensitive.

They have gluten friendly options! From scones and cupcakes to cookies, they have plenty of options for gluten sensitive needs. The murals on the wall are gorgeous and well worth seeing in person, the baristas are friendly and helpful and, of course, the coffee is delicious. They have outdoor seating available for warmer days and a cute little patio with flowers right next door, making it the perfect place to sit in the early morning sunshine and sip on some coffee.

I usually do takeout, but this time, I dined in with 3 kids on my own. The food, service, and kindness of the customers around me made this momma's experience that much better. Everyone devoured their meals. Kids gave it 2 thumbs up and a big smile as their rating. (They had the pancakes and mac & cheese). I am thankful as always when there are gluten-free options. Best of all, I got to enjoy a hot coffee. The servers were so gracious and kind as I had to carry my twin 2 yr olds out of the restaurant football style. They gave me a nod that all is ok....it happens... been there. Dining with children can make or break an experience. I truly appreciated how I was treated by the staff and filled my heart with warmth. I have always been a fan of Hazels and the Sieve family restaurants. 😉

My wife & I love Rise. Coming here is a treat for us. If we both get bagels & coffees it’s about $20/person, so it definitely gets expensive quick, but we like it a lot.
We usually get the Artisan, which is delicious- eggs, bacon, (Gouda?) cheese, sweet mustard of some kind, and arugula. The gluten free bun was kinda mid. It was kind of dry and just broke apart. I feel like they used to have different ones or a gluten free bagel or something, but it was okay. Glad they offer a gf option.
My wife got an iced miel, which was good, but they mixed the honey in with the cold drink, which causes it to settle at the bottom like the picture shows. She was kinda bummed about that. An easy work around for that is mixing the honey with the hot espresso before putting it in the iced cup. 😊 then it’s blended much better. My hot latte with oatmilk was pretty good.
Our friend that we brought to breakfast with loved her strawberry matcha and her “classic” bagel sandwich.
Atmosphere is dope when it’s not busy- early morning or before close is usually pretty empty, but brunch and early PM can be super busy. Especially weekends.

Sitting in this quiet plant-filled space, taking an early-afternoon breather on a hot Saturday in July: visiting Silver Fern feels like a taste of the Good Life. As I sipped the complexly layered & refreshing zing of a lemon ginger cold brew, I was overwhelmed with a sense of gratitude and appreciation for life’s little pleasures. The two family members who were with me agreed, as we shared a matcha white chocolate cookie (excellent chewy texture & plenty of matcha flavor!) and a savory scone loaded with caramelized onion (and which had an impressively buttery mouthfeel, especially for a gluten-less baked good).
The serene and comfy atmosphere of Silver Fern helps set it above your average cafe, and I love the creativity which they put into seasonal drink specials and the care with which their luscious pastries are prepared (including a good array of vegan and gluten-friendly options). Another plus is the menu of sandwiches, salads & other foodstuffs which are a bit more substantial than what’s available at most coffee shops. I hope Silver Fern will continue to grace NE with its unique and exemplary offerings for many years!

First time visit, lovely place! Large menu of drinks but also lunch and breakfast type foods. To-go packaged fresh foods as well as options from the kitchen. Packaged foods include cake and baked goods options as well as salads and veggies, parfaits and a few other items. Ample seating but it was packed when we arrived. There was a single 2-seat table perfect for us in the room with the counter, and there were 2 other similar tables. Other tables are in the back of various sizes along with a few booths.
Clearly a community-oriented local shop. Lots of other cute local shops in the area as well. Local art for sale on the walls as well as some community information.
The coffee is good, though unremarkable. We both got drip though I also had a Florentine which is drip mixed with hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is made with milk and in addition to cow’s milk they have oat, soy, and almond milk options. The Florentine was delicious but how could it not be. ;) It’s a good option to get chocolate flavor but without the extra sweetness or espresso of a mocha. Drip coffee options were 3 different caffeinated and 1 decaf.
Nothing is advertised as gluten free but the breakfast and salad menus show options which should be gluten-free but I’m not sure if cross contamination is expected. We didn’t eat so I can’t comment. Plenty of vegetarian options but not much for vegan at quick glance.

Ordered the gluten free banana tart. The banana was banana-ing.
The crust: it's bitter flavor complemented the banana, but the texture was like chewing the crusted on dirt off the bottom of a boot. Otherwise it was good!
Brown sugar molasses drink was decent.

What a gem! Huge coffee and drink menu with lots of seasonal and local specialties, food on weekdays and bakery goods every day - including gluten free options!! They also have alternate milks at NO UPCHARGE! I had a delicious seasonal earl grey latte and one of the gluten free donuts. The person who took my order at the counter was very knowledgeable and patient as I struggled through giving the order for multiple people, and she even let me know which drinks would be ready before others.
There’s a lot of varied seating inside, tables of 4, booths of 2 with ambient lighting, as well as a few huddles of couches and chairs scattered throughout. I was on a couch myself and it was surprisingly supportive and comfortable. There’s outlets everywhere and free WiFi, so would be perfect for working on a laptop. There’s also an outdoor patio for warm weather and a spacious parking lot with free parking. There’s both steps and a ramp to get in and there’s some counter top seating both for high top and wheelchair level seating. Plus there’s a separate room with a glass window where you can play or watch someone play table tennis/ping pong.
It was packed when we went with some kind of group there as well as a bunch of individuals and smaller groups. We were able to find seating but I’m glad we got there when we did (10a on a Saturday).
I picked up a drink punchcard as I plan to be back! This may be my new favorite local place!!
Caveat: I would not recommend it for anyone with auditory or visual sensory sensitivities as it’s one large open space with plenty of noise and people moving about.

Local, tasty & fresh, vegan/gluten/vegetarian friendly, affordable... coming to this cafe feels like you're walking into the house of a relative or friend that's excited to see you and ready to serve you a tasty meal. Sweet treats made fresh and great (healthy) menu options with a great coffee or tea! If supporting good businesses with eco-friendly operations is something you want to do- add this place to your list!
Great coffee shop that is not on a super busy street. Hot Lunch and soups are great but go fast during the day-see their menu online in advance. Place offers a nice assortment of sandwiches that can be cold or toasted. Good quinoa seasonal salads. Delicious pastries and muffins with gluten free options. For breakfast they can do bagel sandwiches, breakfast burritos and different flavored quiches. Location has decent seating for the size and offeres outdoor seating in summer. Around the building offeres ADA access for customers. Touchless pay options with card. They offer seasonal cookie orders. This place also participates in offering the NE annual calendar for customers. Site also has business SIP cups to purchase and has dog treats and bags for sale.
Visited this location 3 separate times while staying at a nearby hotel over the weekend. The location is great, very clean, staff are friendly and welcoming. My one complaint is on the first day there I asked about if the gluten free breakfast sandwiches were still heated up in their own packaging for cross contamination safety. The person working on day 1 assured me that yes they were. I ordered one then it came wrapped in foil paper so I knew otherwise. Day 2 I asked a different staff member and he assured me that no, due to packaging catching on fire caribou no longer heats up the gluten free sandwiches in their packaging anymore but stated he could place it off on the side to heat to reduce cross contact. He told me that the day 1 worker unfortunately lied to me.
As someone with celiac, I have to put a lot of trust into people preparing my food. I don’t appreciate being lied to at all about food prep safety. I’m glad the day 2 worker was honest with me.
The facility is otherwise clean and nicely decorated with lots of seating options, and the drinks were exceptional every time. If it weren’t for being lied to about food prep I would have given this place a 5/5. Maybe work with your staff on training so that they don’t accidentally harm someone with an autoimmune disease or allergies.
Love it I love that they offer coffee without sugar I love that they offer gluten-free items though I wish they would offer gluten-free items without cheese but what do you do

Sweet little place in the middle of a pretty industrial stretch. My experience with the coffee was so-so, but the juices are tasty - I like that they have nut-based options in addition to fruit/vegetable juice. They have acai bowls (which I haven't tried) and breakfast sandwiches, and a nice set-up for indoor/outdoor dining in summer. A few menu options for Gluten free diners.
