Can Always count on this place for delicious gluten-free food. Sometimes staff are weirdly unfriendly, but from reading other reviews it sounds like they’re just doing their best in what sounds like a toxic place to work. I would also be a downer if the stories here and on Reddit about working here are true. So great food but make sure to tip your server if you go!!

Nathan and Mekala know exactly how to provide top-notch customer service along with their entire staff and not to mention the food is delicious, with healthy ingredients. I've ordered the vegan poke bowl, which is perfect on a hot summer day. I'm not vegan and ate every last morsel. I've also ordered the Gone Fishin' bowl, which contains a perfectly cooked salmon portion, coconut rice, mixed greens, local mushrooms, herby cucumbers, pickled onions, sautéed corn, sesame ponzu, green onions, and everything seasoning. Whatever you are in the mood for at la finca, you and your palate will not be disappointed. I love that this restaurant sources from local places with their produce and is a 100% gluten-free kitchen. They are vegetarian/vegan friendly, dietary sensitive, and sustainability focused. I will continue to support this local restaurant and hope that you will enjoy it just as much as I do. La finca, thank you for making quality bowls with quality ingredients. *****A bonus is that they sell two stoned Betties hand crafted jewelry at their cash register. I couldn't help myself and bought a gorgeous pair of earrings that were calling my name. The earrings I bought are hypo-allergenic hand painted guitar picks with the New Mexico Zia symbols painted on them along with a roadrunner and heart-shaped zia charm on the ends. Seems like the Flying Star has been around for 40 years now...and ABQ staple! Great deserts and a fun place to hang out. Love their breakfasts. It's not their hay day anymore, but still solid. Good gluten free options.

It's a great place to hang out, and it used to be one of my favorite places to grab coffee and a treat. I don't mind paying a little more because things cost more. But the quality has really dropped. But there's always french fries or the other pastry options. I hope they continue to create gluten-free options!

The gluten free pancakes are delicious!. They messed up our order and it was delayed by 30 min.. A little misplacing of our order. But I would come back! The place was clean and we beat the Sunday brunch rush! Great place!

The online menu serves no justice compared to going in and catching the vibe. I wanted to order 3 different meals 😩 I don't know how I missed the mac n cheese grilled cheese sandwich but, that's what I ordered thankful that the employee sold me by simply giving me my choices. When I come back to visit this is for sure on my must-eat list. They have gluten-free opinions which works out as well for those who have celiac. Yes. I was very big backed eating this 😆 🤣

It is with great sadness that I rate flying star only 3 stars. several years ago, restaurant had two or three wonderful options for those of us who cannot eat wheat. (Gluten-free pastries) Since then, they have discontinued one and then the other and then another of their gluten-free products, moved them around, switch them out, and now seem to have only one... which is the gluten-free very berry scone. Somehow, in the process have also made the scone almost inedible (!?!) It used to be a little crumbly, a little dry, but basically very tasty and a good substitute for someone who cannot no longer enjoy the finer things in life that containing the wheat grain. But they've changed the recipe or the cooking method or something. (My suspicion is they've cut back butter (again) and perhaps changed some other ingredients?) but the scone is pretty much almost inedible now - unless I take it home, moisten it up with some mist from my kitchen sprayer, and heat it very gently in the microwave. Which totally misses the point of going to the café in the afternoon for a coffee and pastry. Coffee and pastries used to be one of the greatest joys in my life. Now that my intestines tell me I cannot eat wheat. I relied on some of the wonderful inventions that Flying Star used to have (such as the morning glory muffin. Which was moist and sweet and tasty. And now... gone.) Each time they make a change they seem to cut out one of the things that brings me in... and pretty soon there will be nothing left.

Madcrema is such a gem! The food and coffee are absolutely delicious—and at a great price. The atmosphere is cozy, cute, and has that perfect homestyle feel that makes you want to stay a while. I love that they offer vegan and gluten-free options too. You can really tell they care about the details, from roasting their own beans to creating a space where everyone feels welcome. Can’t wait to come back!

I'm a bit bummed that they advertise as a coffee house with gluten-free options, but when you get there to ask what is gluten they tell you it's only available 2x a week, Tuesday and Thursday. The whole reason we chose this particular coffee shop this Saturday was for the gluten free options. While drinking our coffee, there were 3 other customers asking for gluten free options 🫤 The atmosphere is nice, though. However, we won't be coming back. It's a bit overpriced.

This place makes my week every time I go. It is such a peaceful place to spend my lunch hour, and the person working the register manages to calm my soul no matter what kind of day I am having. The food is so wholesome and intentionally made with good-for-you ingredients. My go-to favorite dish as of late is the gluten-free chicken pesto crepe.

Such an awesome place to study and work or hang out. Literally the only “problems” are great problems-they run out of gluten free goodies too fast because they are so delicious (especially the Bundt cakes) and sometimes it’s hard to find seating because they are so popular (for good reason). Good matcha which is surprisingly hard to find, good people who work there, good herbal teas, good dogs abound. Manama tacos right there is also great for solid breakfast btw.

my family used to come here almost once week and I would take friends from out of town etc. In the last 6 months the food quality has plummeted. Forget take out unless you want to check each contain before you leave. Portion size is inconsistent, soggy veggies, and my kid got an enchilada with no sauce. On a gluten free order where the server was told the person had celiacs, flour tortillas were put on top of the food he didn't trust the kitchen not to just remove the tortillas. Getting contaminated would cause hime to miss work. Please get your game back.

Worst visit ever. Poor customer service by the manager on duty 4/1625 @1:00. Pecan blue berry salad. There is no mention on the big blackboard menu that it's granola with very few pecans in it. I struggle with gluten. I was told there was none in the granola, but my body reacted as if I had gluten 🤒 Salmon salad was practically raw. And slimy looking, they did cook it more, but there were still several pieces that were raw. I get that people eat salmon rare, but this was gross Definitely will not be back
