Aman at the front and the two cooks in the back - FANTASTIC job. The quality of food is top tier. The gluten-free bun was great, atypical in the sense that it didn't fall apart and tasted excellent. The beef patties were flavourful but not salty and cooked to perfection with steam coming out of the burger, making the cheese (by the way, you have 4 to choose from... plus toppings and sauces!) melt beautifully. The French fries remind me of good old fashion fries from a homestyle restaurant in the 90s (dedicated deep fryer for the celiacs out there like me). Seasoned well and fresh. The customer service and food was top notch today, and you 3 left an outstanding first impression. The restaurant is noticeably clean. We will be back!

Today I had lunch with 4 of my friends. My lunch was lousy. I had the vegan mossaka and it was swimming in oil. My stomach hasn't felt right all afternoon. I'm gluten free and a small dish of gluten free crackers was $ 1.99 extra. Really? The brewed ☕️ which isn't even on the menu was like drinking dish water. The waitress was friendly but we had to ask her to take the dishes away. We were the only ones in the restaurant too. Let's just say that I 'll never go back. I'll walk with my wallet.

This is a very specific review! I used to eat at Zen before I got diagnosed with celiac disease and they are a friendly establishment with good food. After getting diagnosed with celiac, I was pleasantly surprised to discover they had a dedicated gluten free menu. I have eaten at the restaurant with that menu and it has been fine. The issue arose today when I made an order through Ubereats. Zen allows you to input allergy information so I emphasized that I have celiac and the importance of making sure my food does not come into contact with items that contain gluten. I was very disappointed to find that when I opened my box of maki, there were several sticky packets of soy sauce (which has gluten) pressed up against my food. Makes me question how seriously they follow dietary restrictions or requirements in the end and I will unfortunately no longer be eating here

Thai Valley Grill is an absolute gem in Edmonton! It’s a family-run restaurant, and you can truly feel it in every detail. The service is outstanding—welcoming, friendly, and attentive—and the atmosphere is so warm and inviting. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel right at home. The food is incredible! Generous portions packed with amazing flavour, and everything tastes so fresh. As someone with celiac, I’m always cautious, but the staff here are incredibly knowledgeable and careful. I’m very sensitive and have never had an issue, which speaks volumes about their attention to detail. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with amazing food and wonderful service, Thai Valley Grill should absolutely be on your list!

Deep fried pickles were amazing, most places end up making a soggy mess, these ones were crisp and great tasting along with the house made sauce. Ordered the "chickn" basket, taste wise amazing, however it had a slightly spongy texture owing to the fact it was a wheat gluten based food but still very good. Corn dog was almost an exact replica of a pogo but better tasting. Garlic fries were also good. Nice service as well. Would recommend.

Wonderful service, and great cocktails! Our server took the time to give us helpful tips as well, and were great for allergy awareness (gluten/peanuts/etc). The portions were on the smaller side for "sharables" but overall was a good experience.

The best most delicious Chinese food in YEG! The owners are so kind and friendly, and always give us free spring rolls with a lovely hand written note! My husband is celiac and this is the only place he can eat Chinese food in the city - GF chicken fried rice, GF beef & greens, and GF peppercorn beef/chicken are our go-to’s! Great portions, always enough for lunch the next day!

I got married here!!!!! In 2003 (when I was 5 years old!), my family moved to Riverbend and we have celebrated many life milestones at Oliveto since. Naturally, when I was planning my intimate wedding ceremony, Oliveto was the first place that came to mind. We met with Romero and arranged to have our ceremony and lunch in the restaurant. On Saturday's, Oliveto is closed between lunch and dinner, so we were able to privately book the space from 1:00-4:00 pm practically free of charge. Day of, they arranged two long tables for our 20 guests. Together, we had come up with a family-style menu with a few salads, pastas, and wines, and for a small fee we brought our own wedding cake from an outside vendor. The also made a GF portion for a celiac guest. They had many servers on site and the day could not have run more smoothly. As always, the food was incredible. It was also remarkably reasonably priced. We love Oliveto! Huge thank you to everyone who helped make our day so special.

I've been to many Subways, and haven't reviewed them. However, my parents and I were very pleased with the service. The owners prepared our sandwiches. My dad is a Celiac and he was able to get a delicious sandwich prepared for him. They lady changed her gloves and was meticulous not to cross contaminate. My dad was very please! Thank you. Great service.
