Absolutely amazing gluten-free ramen. If you are celiac, I highly recommend this place! My friend and I got the same dish, mine was gluten free. The staff was also wonderful.

Service was amazing. Food was mediocre; brisket was good but lacked flavour; ribs were tough and dry; mac and cheese was spicy, but needed someone else; chicken was good and it was gluten free.

Great communication and super adaptable to changes in quantity, and menu for a work event! The food was well received (walima feast), and catered to meat eaters as well as those with dietary restrictions or vegan/gluten-free!
Only thing is the delivery person forgot to leave a crate, but we found a workaround!

Unforgettable Dining Experience at Zarak – A Must-Visit!
I had the pleasure of dining at Zarak for the first time in July with a group of five people, each of us with different dietary restrictions – gluten-free, dairy-free, coconut-free, and vegetarian. While I initially felt overwhelmed by the menu, our server, Sanmeet, turned what could have been a stressful situation into a seamless and enjoyable experience. She took the time to carefully listen to our restrictions and, in less than a minute, curated the perfect menu for us, ensuring we could enjoy our time together without worrying about what to order. Her recommendations were spot on, and the variety of cocktails was equally impressive!
From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, the entire team made us feel welcome and cared for. The level of attentiveness was beyond compare. One detail that stood out to me was how the staff intuitively timed their service – they approached us only during natural pauses in our conversations, which I deeply appreciated. At one point, I needed a napkin, and just as I was about to ask, one of the staff members approached me, and it felt like they had read my mind. It’s those small details that really made the experience special.
Now, the food was incredible, but what made the evening truly unforgettable was the exceptional level of customer service. Towards the end of the night, everyone except me ordered dessert because I couldn’t find anything on the menu that was both dairy-free and coconut-free, which I was fine with. Sanmeet noticed and immediately went above and beyond to accommodate me. Within minutes, she brought out a delicious pistachio gelato, which had no gluten, coconut, or dairy – and it was on the house! That thoughtful gesture spoke volumes about her dedication to making sure everyone had a wonderful time.
What’s even more impressive is that when my partner and I returned to Zarak a month and a half later for drinks and dinner, Sanmeet remembered us. The genuine smile on her face when I greeted her by name made it clear that this restaurant isn’t just about serving great food – it’s about creating lasting relationships with their guests.
Sanmeet’s warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care for her guests left an incredible impression on me, and I’ve been raving about Zarak to everyone I know. If you ever visit, I highly recommend asking for her – she truly made our dining experience unforgettable. I look forward to returning again and again!

Whisk matcha has sort of become my life style now. I have been obsessed with their matcha for 5 years and I visit them almost every weekend.
I can’t stand any other matcha! When you learn about matcha, especially the premium matcha you understand the quality and taste. Whisk matcha is the only cafe that has nailed the art of matcha and matcha treats.
Thank you so much! Please expand into more locations
PS: my sister has gluten and diary allergy, so whisk matcha is one of the few cafe in vancouver that accommodate such allergy request and has treat catered for such needs.

Overall, we had a lovely experience at Burdock and Co! I received a gift card here and was eager to try out this Michelin star spot. We had the citrus moon menu, which highlighted local citrus from salt spring island. Every dish was very thoughtful and meticulous in design and presentation. I appreciated that the tasting menu is very veggie forward, local, and seasonal. Few Michelin star restaurants are as accommodating as Burdock and Co. The menu was already naturally mostly gluten free and they helped modify a dish for me to avoid raw food because I am pregnant. Highlights of this menu for us were the potato dish, scallop confit, and the dessert. I highly recommend the arctic sourdough and profiterole add- on- two of my favorite bites. Service was kind, warm, and accommodating. It is a hefty price, but a very special experience.
Fantastic place for an authentic Rajasthani experience. Vegan & glutenfree thali was scrumptious. Perfectly spiced chai served in a kulhad. Hearty servings of a variety of foods. Friendly service with all the information you need. Worth the drive to Vancouver

Wow! I brought my 13 yr old out to breakfast, and found this cute little coffee, café, bistro? Kranky's has a little of everything, and it is mostly made there, fresh! The owner and waitstaff were super friendly, kind(helped us find a tasty choice for me(I have Celiac), and had a joyful small-talk conversation with our daughter about her choices on a future pet :)
Thank you, Cat, Hope? and ummm, dagnabit! The owner!! I know, I know her name, it is just out of my reach right now.

I’ve only ordered on Uber eats 1000000/10 every time. Everything is so delicious, flavourful made with love. I’m a celiac it’s very rare I get many options when ordering food. So many tasty gluten free delicious food options here. Everything I’ve tried on the menu so far has been the best tasting food ever. I’ll always order here & one day when I am not working from home I’d love to eat here in person.
Charming spot with a cozy vibe, offering a great coffee selection and a rare combination of treats for diverse diets—definitely worth a visit!

Removed a star as there's no option to pay for extra/double protein even though I'm sure many people would appreciate it.

I was excited to come for brunch here but was left disappointed in the options they had for celiacs. A side salad as the only sub for potatoes seems a bit dated. As well an extra 2.50 for a side salad and an extra 2.00 for gf english muffin is wild. If you’re willing to have a mediocre meal for a heavier price, then you found your place.

Fresh & delicious sushi that melts in your mouth! Very tiny restaurant that fits maybe 20-25 guests but it’s cozy and feels like you’re eating in the chefs home. The service was kind and very efficient. I have celiac disease and they had gluten free soy sauce which is always a relief. However, there weren’t many gluten free options on the menu as they told me their sushi rice, ginger, wasabi and mayonnaise all contained gluten which was something I had never heard before and greatly diminished my options. Nevertheless, they were able to make a few rolls with regular rice and use separate cutting boards and kitchen supplies to make my sushi which was really appreciated! Would highly recommend this cute sushi spot!!
WOW! These gourmet pizzas are so loaded! Layered deep with delicious toppings. 5 stars!
Our gluten free pizza was an absolute delight. Superb GF choices and so tasty! Excellent customer service, too! Will definitely be ordering again. Best pizza delivery in Vancouver!

I think going twice in less than seven days is a good treatment as to why I would recommend this place. Good gluten-free options and plenty of other options for regular people. They still need to start carrying Grey Fox beer though ;)
Expect a bustling atmosphere with no reservations on weekends, plus generous portions that make the wait worthwhile.

Went in for happy hour and to watch the game. Paid $20 to bring my own zero wine which was discounted from an alcoholic corking fee. My only complaint is I wish they had zero % wine on the menu and not just zero near beers as I am sober and celiac. Hopefully one day! Staff was nice, moved us to a better seat to see the screen when we asked. Atmosphere was great and chatted with our neighbouring table. Would return if they brought zero wine in :)
Steamworks at Mount Pleasant is a fantastic spot for unwinding after a long workday, especially if you’re into beer and casual social gatherings. Each location of Steamworks has its own menu, and this one didn’t disappoint!
We visited during Happy Hour, which is a big plus since they offer it every day! The Happy Hour menu has a decent selection of food and beers, making it a solid place to grab some drinks and snacks with friends. You can check their website for details, but trust me, it’s worth it.
The patio is pet-friendly, which was a nice surprise, so we got to dine with our furry friend while enjoying the laid-back atmosphere. The space is larger than it looks from the outside—plenty of room to relax. The vibe is a classic pub setting, though the music can be a bit on the louder side, so keep that in mind.
Another great perk is the Costco gift card deal! We spent $80 to get a $100 gift card and were happy to learn that we could use it during Happy Hour as well. Overall, it’s a great hangout spot with a welcoming vibe. Definitely will be back!

We've been wanting to visit Odd Burger's new Vancouver location since it opened in late November of 2024. When visiting Edmonton last May, we didn't find out until our last day about their Edmonton grand opening and thus ended up missing out .. oops 🙁 I'm happy to say we were finally able to make it out this past Friday!!! Oh my goodness, this place rocks and really makes me yearn for a vegan fast food place in Seattle-area. I love how friendly the staff was and, how customizable your food can be. When ordering, you can place your order with the staff or use one of the two kiosks available to patrons. The kiosks are big, bright, speedy, overall just super easy to use!
Their breakfast options are available all day (nice!). We went with a Maple Crunch Breakfast Sammy, great sandwich combination of the english muffin, hash brown, tofu and, melty cheese! My wife ordered the Chickun Cordon Bleu, delicious hand formed seitan chickun filet, with ham, cheese and a perfect amount of mayo, enough to keep the bread from being dry but not so much that it was overwhelming.
I chose the Bacun Famous Melt with a chickpea patty. So, this gives me an opportunity to detail how attentive and sweet the staff are. I mentioned earlier how customizable your options are. So, for example, if you wanted a gluten free option, when using the kiosk .. there wasn't a separate listing for a gluten free sandwich, instead you choose the type of patty and type of bun that you'd prefer (in addition to other aspects that you can customize). In this manner, you select the type of sandwich you're looking for but then select the gluten free options. I'm not gluten free but I was really curious to try their chickpea patty. A few minutes after we placed the order at the kiosk, one of the staff came over to verify if I didn't mean to order a gluten free bun as well (given that I had chosen a patty that happened to be gluten free) as well as asked about the bacun (as that too has gluten). I can't speak enough for that level of care and attention to me, as a customer .. *wow*!
I'm glad I chose the chickpea patty, it did not disappoint, had a wonderful flavor and crisp bite, coupled with their house-made bacun and secret sauce 🤤. Well, what's not a secret is how delectable the sandwich was!
We ordered two additional items, one of which was the Smokey Pulled Jack Tater Tot Poutine. This is easily large enough to feed two people, all kinds of flavors happening there ... some kind of poutine magic! Last, but definitely not least .. the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae. I need to emphasize that Strawberry Shortcake was one of my favorite desserts growing up and even way before veganism was a thing, this dessert wasn't the easiest to get right because it takes the right balance of ice cream to strawberry goodness and the cake, the amount and consistency of the cake is always what makes or breaks this dessert. Well, if I'm being totally honest ...this was 1,000% spot on, exactly as I remember my favorite dessert to be from back in the day. There was plenty of cake .. but not too much, and it was just the right texture to balance with the dessert, no joke!
Odd Burgers has a number of locations throughout Canada. Locally, there's the one in Vancouver and another in Victoria. There's also a location in Calgary, one in Edmonton with another on the way, as well one in Regina (Saskatchewan) and quite a few throughout Ontario. That's good news because if you're visiting Canada, chances are there's one nearby to check out. I've heard rumblings that they might expand one day in Washington, no idea if that'll come to fruition or not but ... fingers crossed!!!
