I enjoyed the food. The staff was helpful, friendly and personable. Silvia was my server and everything she said was true about the dishes we inquired about. I ordered the 10oz mushroom peppercorn steak. I doubled up on my veggies instead of mashed potatoes. I chose a house salad as my side order with the house dressing which was lovely. I also tried the lettuce wraps and chose shrimp in it. It was nice. I couldn't even finish my steak so I packed it up. I ordered the 'I can't believe it's gluten free chocolate cake' that was topped with wite chocolate mousse, fresh strawberries and blueberries in chocolate syrup. It was rich and just the right amount of sweetness. I would dine here again at the Pickering location. I would definitely recommend this place.

A frequent local favourite. The food is always fresh and flavourful. A special nod to the La Mora margarita, as well as the Street Corn and Guacamole starters….all are a “must try”! The staff are welcoming and attentive. As someone with celiac disease, dining out can be stressful, but staff at this establishment are knowledgeable about their menu offerings and have ensured a safe dining experience, time and time again. This included a recent large order for a party; the food was delicious, hot and packed to ensure an excellent dining experience at home that was enjoyed by all. If you’re looking for an elevated dining experience for a special occasion, or a casual night out - Chuuk will not disappoint!

AMAZING! 100% beef hand packed burgers, perfectly seasoned! And their house AIOLI IS AMAZING tangy a bit spicy and creamy. I'm celiac (#celiacfreindly ) I went into 6side a few weeks ago, and got some next level service (and food) without feeling awkward. 😭👌❤️ I went in and ordered for myself and my bf, mention I was celiac ( the amazing wonderful gentleman who took my order asked what that was, and I explained). He nodded, said no problem. I watched this man SCRUB the grill before grilling my burger, EVEN THO I noticed the bus were toasted way off in the Corner no where near the burger cooking. 🥰 freaking amazingly safe. And soooooo cool about it. PLUS it's super fun to dine in! Great atmosphere! 👍

We were visiting Pickering for a sporting event… after googling “you gotta eat here, Pickering” Pig Out BBQ came up as a near unanimous choice and for good reason, the staff were super helpful helping and explaining to us the various options… which are plentiful and the portions were bountiful, we selected the Pig Out Plater which was more than enough for three… we ended taking a good size portion home, which then yielded three snack and a bit… I consider that to be super value. The food was great, good taste and bbq’d to perfection. Lots of in house made sides as well potato salad, coleslaw, fries… most of the items are gluten free by nature any, although it is not a gluten free restaurant… the only item missing was Hush Puppies… there is lots of free parking, tv playing news and sports, entering and exiting the plaza lot is a bit tricky, but way worth it. Tooth picks are also provided in the salt and pepper caddy…. Two thumbs up

Came here for the first time with a friend. My order was as expected. I enjoyed the food. It was great that they had gluten-free bread, and sourdough bread (although sourdough bread was with soup dish only.) I ordered scrambled eggs, gluten-free toast and home fries with green tea. Home fries were a little dry, but I was hungry so I ate it all. Good price too, under $13. I would suggest that the management offer oat milk (or any alternative dairy option) for tea/coffee. I couldn’t have my usual orange pekoe, had to have herbal tea. The tables were a too close. No room to put my coat and purse behind my chair without it touching the coat of the customer sitting behind me. Server was busy, but got me everything I asked for. I will definitely be coming again.

We came with a large table on a Saturday evening. Although it was busy, our server Cecia was attentive and took care of us promptly all night. The food was fresh, replenished quickly, and good! We had a friend that has a gluten allergy and Francis took his time and went over what she could safety eat in the buffet, along with getting the kitchen to make her some safe options as well! We had a great time and will be back soon!

I tried other Indian restaurants in the area and they just don't compare thus far. I'm picky with my Indian cuisine coming from an area where I once had a sea of Desi restaurants around me. Zeers is now my go to. The food is savoury, reasonably priced and satisfying. With mostly gluten free options I don't need to worry about my food allergies. My food is always made promptly and served with a friendly smile.

The food here was amazing, I came for a family dinner to celebrate my acceptance into college. My server Isabella was very attentive and gave me a great recommendation on what to eat. Fresh & flavourful large rolls. Friendly, patient & professional staff. They took the time to answer all of our questions over the phone. They were accommodating and able to modify part of our order to make it GF (gluten free) for my wife. It will now be our go to sushi place in Pickering. All around a great experience!

Love their soup. Mainly I go here cause they have rice noodle (gluten-free). The ingredients are fresh. I like that there is room to move around. Some restaurants you’re packed like sardines. Good prices too.

One of the better bbt places Ive been to based on first impression in taste and service. I ordered a matcha red bean slush with tapioca with 0% sugar. The toppings (red beans and tapioca) filled 1/3 of my cup, and the matcha was flavourful and refreshing with its subtle sweetness. There is a great selection of flavours and 13 toppings to choose from. To help you select your bbt of choice, their menu also indicates variety of drinks without caffeine and drinks that are gluten free. Fast and friendly service. I would say they are reasonably priced. Will come back and try other flavours.

My go to Hakka place in the Durham. All of the food is always fresh and tasty, the staff are always welcoming and great to deal with. They are the only Hakka place that are so accommodating with dietary restrictions, my wife has celiac and they always take extra care when preparing our food to avoid cross contamination. As well, they making changes to dishes to make them Gluten Free, and are always offering suggestions for GF options. Hakka Fusion has become a staple in our house.

Staff are friendly and helpful. The place is wheelchair accessible and the parking has wheelchair accessible spots. The menu has evolved to accommodate a wider range of appetites and dietary requirements. Five stars for a cozy and welcoming Pizza Pizza location.
