On a date night, we popped in for some small plates to share with a glass of fizz. I've never been a fan of the hipster-themed dining experience but that's just personal preference. The place was very quiet for a Friday afternoon/evening and for some reason we were seated as far away from the door as was possible, right next to the window (lovely for people-watching on the Hayes) but also right next to the blinds' drawstring, and at some point a server came to pull the blinds down - we protested - and had to lean over my partner to reach. Anyway, apart from that the table was nice, service was quick.
My partner has food intolerances and is a careful eater. We asked the server about their food and he wasn't certain, and had to go to the kitchen several times to check. Even when we thought he had it straight he kept coming back to check and recheck he understood our requirements, which is surely diligent but was bordering on fussy, and it became quite awkward for us, to the point we just said not to worry. We then had a manager come across to check again, and eventually managed to find three dishes from the gluten free menu which had neither soya or dairy in them. The food was decent, but the experience was uncomfortable. I can't fault the servers for triple-checking they had the info correct. I do wish it had taken maybe two or three trips to the kitchen fewer to establish the facts! Still, nice quiet meal, lovely view (when the blinds were up), a nice place to be for a couple of hours.
This spot features a lively atmosphere with an inviting vibe, serving stunning burgers and acclaimed onion rings that keep diners coming back.

All of their burgers are gluten free, you just have to ask for a gluten free bun. Their onion rings and fries are also gluten free & they have gluten free beer too! A coeliac must try!

So happy we found the Juno Lounge while visiting Cardiff. We ate 3 meals there in 2 days!
Great options for celiac and other dietary restrictions. Everything was delicious (curry bowl and brisket chili were highlights).

As with many Lounges this is a must visit!
They have an extensive gluten free menu. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. Always order at the bar to ensure they can put it through as an allergy order.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Bill's in Cardiff Bay.
We turned up without a reservation and despite the place being quite busy, we were seated promptly and drinks orders taken quickly.
I'm Coeliac which means boring gluten free dining, but in Bill's there is a whole gf menu so I didn't feel left out. I had the Fish Pie and Banoffee Sundae, both of which were different from usual gf options.
They also did a gf IPA which I wasn't very keen on but nice to have the option.
We were served by Gabriel. He's an absolute treasure.
If you're gf, you should deffo give the place a try!

Placed an order for collection, which included mainly gluten free items. One item included in the order was not gluten free, so the restaurant (specifically Ivo) contacted me by phone to check I was aware of this because he had noticed my order was mainly gluten free. I cannot thank Ivo enough for doing this, and when I arrived at the restaurant to collect my order, Ivo explained the lengths he had gone to to check this before calling me. Thank you Ivo, it really does make a difference for people who require these dietary options for medical reasons to feel like it is being taken seriously and checked. Also helps that the food was great as well! Will definitely go here again the next time we are in Cardiff!
A great spot for a family meal with a relaxed vibe, attentive service, and a strong focus on accommodating dietary needs.

We ate there last Wednesday - the food was very nice and the service was very good.
Mario and the kitchen team paid attention to my colleague's complex allergies and made a meal that was adapted for her. There are lots of chain restaurants in the Bay, but we came here because when I was phoning around to see who could take a group of 12 and handle one person's allergies respectfully without making her look demanding in front of new colleagues, Mario answered the phone and demonstrated what professional customer service should look like. He knew immediately what Cote's team would be able to do and didn't over-promise but gave me confidence that my colleague would not be left hungrily watching people eat and would not be made to feel bad for having allergies. I had been unpleasantly surprised that other restaurants did not respond as kindly as Mario. My colleague said Cote are usually pretty good, including a good gluten free menu.
The food was well presented and well seasoned and the other staff were attentive too. Bottled water was a bit pricey. The restaurant was easily accessible for my colleague who cannot use stairs as it is quite well spaced out and flat.
A welcoming spot with a diverse menu and outdoor seating, perfect for enjoying a meal in pleasant weather while feeling included.

this place was new to us, we had a voucher and booked a table for 4 (3 adults and a child).
One of us is Gluten Free (GF) so this is always a primary concern when eating out as even a little differentiation in the info we receive on queries would lead us to leave as we cannot risk the aftermath of such an endevour.
Now, the staff were absolutely amazing, the menu with the options for GF???
There were tons, nearly everything bar the breaded stuff (ie stuff that had burger buns etc) all had GF options, we were so impressed.
Again compliments to the staff, we cant praise enough that they were very attentative (bear in mind the place was absolutely pack, even outside was - although it didnt last long with our good old weather) with drinks, extras even our young child was spoken to properly and not ignored, we will be back again very soon.
AMAZING PLACE.
Gluten free menu available. The manager takes the order for people with allergies/coeliac disease so they take allergies very seriously here. I usually order a ramen with rice noodles and the broth is full of flavour.

I recently stopped by The Cosy Cafe in Hay-on-Wye for lunch, and it was a truly delightful experience. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the service was impressively quick and efficient. The food was absolutely lovely, with a great selection of gluten-free options available. The oat milk lattes were a highlight, and the raspberry and almond Bakewell tart (gluten-free) was simply divine. The cafe's warm and inviting atmosphere made it a perfect spot to relax. For those planning a visit, there are on-street parking options and a small car park nearby, with a larger one just a short walk away. I highly recommend The Cosy Cafe and look forward to returning soon!
