My husband and I went here because we were in the area and saw that it had good reviews. I am gluten free (coeliac). The menu was clearly labelled and almost the whole menu was gluten free, including unique options like fried chicken and onion bahji. They were very friendly and welcoming. They also seemed very mindful of dietary requirements, including cross-contamination. We had the cassava fries, 31 masala chicken curry, goat curry and paneer saagwala. Everything was delicious and flavourful. I would especially recommend the goat curry. Thank you for a lovely meal!!

My review is focusing on the set menu, but I was wanted to preface this by saying that this place is always nice, and always quite gluten-friendly. We came here for the set menu on New Years as a group of four and it was absolutely phenomenal. Unfortunately for us, though every item was delicious, the greatest hits were the items that aren't normally on the menu (I loooooved the beef tataki so much that we asked for more). No need to be scared or worried about there only being one option for the set menu, because every option was stunning. And I'm saying that as a relatively fussy eater. The staff were generally amazing, but something that stood out to me is how accommodating the staff were when it came to our celiac friend. In spite of it being a set menu, they managed to ensure that she had gluten-fres options, especially when it came to dessert and we finally got served our food separately. Would highly recommend for anyone that can't eat gluten, as we frequently come herd with that friend for the normal menu, as there are plenty of options to choose from. One thing to note about Mekong Baby is that it is more on the expensive side, but I wholeheartedly believe that it is worth it for the food and service.

We came for a team dinner. There were 7 of us. We highly rated the organic chicken and short rib. They were just delicious. One of our team members is a celiac and had a reaction from the chicken dish. Although she had specified that she was a celiac at the time of ordering, and asked the server delivering her meal to make sure, she was still "glutened". Unsure what went wrong there, but Giraffe may need to assess their processes when handling gluten.

Incredible lunch, could not fault it. The food and service were the highlights for sure but the atmosphere and decor were great too. Every single dish we ordered was delicious, the Pacifica Ceviche was the highlight. The menu sounded really interesting and delicious and it lived up to those expectations. The menu was very clear on what was vegetarian, vegan, dairy free and gluten free. The service from the whole team was great, attentive and informative, especially from our main server Olivia. She was really friendly and professional but still felt like being served by a friend which is exactly what I enjoy about nz hospo. The level of service from each team member was fantastic and I wish them all the best over this crazy season

Visited Hideaway for a bottomless with the girls for my birthday and absolutely loved it!! The food was amazing and the drinks were top notch! All of us left feeling very full either with drinks (wine, prosseco, cider or mimosas) or food! Very conscious of any dietary requirements and were able to adapt food where need - great for gluten free and vege/vegan! Food was delicious and drinks were plenty strong which made the bottomless all the more worth it! Can’t forget to mention lil buddy Jax who was nothing short of a friendly face to everyone! 10/10 would recommend to friends and come back - even just for a drink on a night out! The location is a bit hidden but still easy to locate and find our way in with plenty of signage on the main road!

It's one of these places that you stumble upon and consider yourself lucky for having done so 😊 We had a lovely evening, the food was delicious and the service was great. The view from the balcony is beautiful, what a glorious sunset! Atmosphere is chilled and easy going, no need to dress up. The gluten free pizza was delicious too! Thank you very much for looking after us ☺️

Got an AMAZING takeaway Chicken Biriyani to go with a BBQ at home. Full of flavour, super delish and everyone loved it. Gluten Free also. Highly recommend.

We booked Coco’s private room for a hens party. The staff were fantastic, set menu was delicious and effortlessly catered to dietary requirements including gluten free and coeliac. The private area was completely separate, we had our own bathroom, iPad loaded with Spotify, a huge speaker and disco lights which made the night so fun. The staff were so accommodating and let us enjoy the area for such a long time - if you’re after a gorgeous place, right on K Road, with fantastic food, and great cocktails for a private event - definitely get in touch with them!

Menu says GF online and in person but was told by staff and the chef that they cannot do anything gluten free or safe for coeliacs as the menu is outdated and there is cross contamination. Please change your menu. Staff was friendly and nice about it however, but the menus should be changed as it's false advertising.

Great staff great food! The staff were very friendly and willing to change things around when I wanted a starter as a main. Also let me sample the cider to see if I liked it. There is a huge menu and plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options .

Food was amazing! We had the mussels and scallops and they did not disappoint. Both were gluten free. The view was great and service was quick. Bit on the pricey side, but we found it worth it

Great atmosphere, delectable food. Would likely order the jalapeno poppers again. Meatballs itself were great (and gluten free). The base selection was tasty but we had to take away the balance (which is also a good thing), though could recommend perhaps pairing it with some sort of salsa/pesto/jam to balance out the richness. Looking forward to visiting again!
