Great place for gluten free options, I had the mac and cheese. Drinks were good too!
Expect attentive service and a menu that caters well to dietary needs, with highlights like truffle edamame and chef’s choice nigiri.

Called ahead to ask for a gluten free menu. They didn't have one (around 12pn), we showed up to our reservation at 530 to gluten free menus and several staff communicating and checking in on us.
recommended for food and allergen safety ~ get the truffle edamame and the nigiri chef choice!
Known for a decent brunch, this spot might be outshined by nearby options, making dinner a better bet for a unique dining experience.

A brunch specific review - it's aight.
The food is ok and the servers are nice, but it's hard to recommend this when you can go across the street to Nosedive and get a better brunch for cheaper. They also don't have some of the gluten free options advertised on their website for brunch - there's maybe 2 things on the menu if you have a gluten free person in your party. Sobys may just be better served as a dinner place
Enjoy a fabulous dining experience with exceptional service, delicious options, and a vibrant atmosphere that keeps guests coming back for more!

I have celiac disease and ordered a petite filet and a loaded baked potato and got sick. I’m disappointed that the kitchen is not more careful with cross contamination and doesn’t seem to take food allergies seriously. I tried to order safe items and asked the server to please verify they don’t put anything else on their grill that contains gluten and to make sure they know my meal should be gluten free. Although the steak was delicious, I ended up with a stomach ache (intestinal damage) for the next several days. I think they must have items on the grill that contain gluten, or it was something in the loaded baked potato. . I never have this problem at Hall’s in Charleston, but there’s some kind of cross contamination going on at the Greenville one because I usually end up sick no matter how careful I try to be. I realize they can’t guarantee anything but it’s such a shame with it being a high end restaurant. Although I won’t be able to dine here again, for those without food allergies it is great!
The decadent clam chowder and amazing crab dip steal the show, making it worth a revisit despite a few hiccups with other dishes.

New in town and was told to try this place for the chowder.
Our group got the shrimp po boy, lobster roll (cold), clam chowder and fresh catch sandwich. We also go a sample of the crab dip, which was amazing. Ordering that next time!
The clam chowder is very decadent, our group shared which was perfect so we didn't ruin our appetites for the main course. The cat h of the day was great. The shrimp po boy was on gluten free bread, which sadly just fell apart while eating. The insides were still wonderful. The cold lobster roll was disappointing. It just lacked flavor, like they forgot to add the seasonings. Not sure what happened that day. Will return especially for the chowder and dip and give the lobster roll another try or maybe the hot lobster roll. Since some of the food we had was amazing, I feel it is fair to give them another shot. Hoping it was an"off day" for the cold lobster roll.

I had a great meal here. Most everything is gluten free, and the chef guided me through what I shouldn't have. It was delicious. Reys is a bar. The restaurant is in the back and called Half Rooted.
Enjoy a bustling vibe with delicious offerings and a sweet atmosphere that leaves everyone eager to return for more.

1st question for me is there gluten free options, YES, pizza and pasta, both! Sweet waitress and really delicious food. All I can say is we will be back. Definitely want to try the 🍕. They had gotten very busy and waitress remained super kind. ❤
