I loved my meal (porterhouse and mashed potato was divine) however there were no gluten free starter options. The only gluten free option was chips which, when I asked I was told they were fried in the deep fryer so so they aren't gluten free.
I know that no restaurant/pub can guarantee that any food is gluten free... however having actual gluten free options on the starters list is important.
Maybe a Bruschetta with gluten free bread?

An extremely popular small restaurant in Parkes, in which we elected to eat at twice during a three night stay.
Fairly standard Thai / Laotian style fare, with good options for those requiring a gluten or other special diet. We tried a Laab, a clear soup, Pad Thai and A Chilli & Basil Stir Fry. All were pretty good and good sized serves, although the Pad Thai was a tad underwhelming.
Service was fine, ok, but not spectacular, but as we were looking for something quick, fresh and tasty it satisfied us on all counts.
Would certainly return if in Parkes again
Old style country cafe. Staff were very friendly and the service was great.
Wide range of breakfast menu options, including many choices for vegan and gluten free.
Eclectic range of decorations surround the walls.
Certainly can't complain about the size of the servings!
The outdoor area was very functional, however on the really hot day there was no escaping the heat. The food is great value and delicious, even I got a Gluten Free meal. The service staff were friendly
