The crew at ‘the elm’ were very accommodating and ensured our needs were met. The meal was prepped to a fantastic standard and a high quality. (We highly recommend the Hunters Chicken, without the cheese if you are lactose). Big thanks to Charlie, Liam & Erin for being such accommodating and friendly hosts for the evening.

Honestly the most wonderful cafe in the greater dundee region I've been to, with delicious wholesome food and friendliest service. Plenty of gluten free and vegan selections, with all allergies/intolerances listed or accommodated. The cheesy beans with crunchy gf sourdough chunks was a simple but perfectly balanced warming brunch for exploring the area. All of their baked and sweet treats are made in-house and I couldn't leave without taking a coconut chia slice to go. If you're visiting the area, forget all the other eateries in the area and head here.

We came in, absolutely starving and struggling to find anywhere gluten free as we are new to the city. The staff were amazing, lovely and friendly, and really knowledgeable on coeliac disease. Pretty much the whole menu is or can be made gluten free. The food tasted gorgeous.

I’m Celiac and finding good gluten free food is always hard but this has become my new favourite pizza place. It’s delicious, soft and crunchy, and the individuals size is very generous. The place itself is great as well, the manager helped me order my gluten free pizza on a deal with my non celiac partner, which was so nice of her. The waiting time was not too long either, and although I didn’t sit in the restaurant atmosphere looked good from the waiting area. Hope they expand the gluten free menu to other items too!

I found this restaurant on the ‘find me GF app’ and wow, the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had. We were served by a lovely blonde lady who was so lovely and really reassuring asking if I was coeliac when ordering. I highly recommend the West House & look forward to returning in the future :)

Lovely wee cafe run by the church. The soup, sandwich and cake deal was really great value. It’s great that they have so many savoury and sweet gluten free options and it seems the kitchen takes care in keeping everything separate. Unfortunately, one staff member brought my tea out with a gluten biscuit on the side. (To be honest I wasn’t expecting a biscuit and would have been happy enough without as the rest of the food was great value). Another staff member apologised profusely and replaced everything after I asked about it. I don’t want to complain too much as it was a mistake and I’m grateful for any place that offers gluten free and food for coeliacs. Although it might be wise to double check if you’re unsure of anything. I really enjoyed the cake, good texture for gluten free.

Had coffee and a gluten free pizza for lunch. The pizza was fresh and crispy. Unfortunately the coffee was not hot. I do realize this is not their speciality. Extensive range of beers and other drinks,both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Friendly staff and very accommodating with our Bernese dog.

Local burger fast food restaurants. The best thing is you can have vegan and gluten free burger here as well. Portions are nice and freshly made.

This was out first visit. The service was great. The food was all lovely except for the burger my daughter had. The burger sauce was spicy and the burger was quite dry so she didn't eat it. She did love the garlic dough balls and the churros. Eveything on the menu tells you if a gluten free alternative is available which was great for my husband. It is dog friendly is well which is why we chose it. We had our little dog with us who happily sat in the corner.

I used the restaurant each night I stayed in the hotel and couldn't fault anything. Brilliant and attentive service (always with a smile) and plenty of gluten free options. Great drinks choice and quality as well. 5/5

I love a pizza. Love ‘em. But a takeaway pizza is more than a convenience, it has to be special. What’s more, because my tummy appears to protest about gluten, I have to choose my pizzeria carefully; just flour water salt, dough rested for ages. You know the drill. T’other week I spent an afternoon in Spex Pistols, also in Dundee, where head honcho, Richard raved about Luigis. So I made it a mission to get there whenever I next could. What do you need to know? Well, they have an app. That’s important because they’re busy and despite placing an order just after opening at 1700, I was given a collection time of 1915. But that’s fine, I had the option of ditching the order on the app once I had this beta. The app was a doddle to use and I could, and did, customise my choices. Collection: These guys and gals are in Hilltown, which isn’t town centre. I had the car and it was an easy spin. Google reckoned it would take half an hour to march there from the V&A. Just be aware that you might have to earn your calories if you are leather-tramping. The staff? Engaging, charismatic and funny. As soon as I arrived I was greeted, and chit-chat commenced. But no time was wasted. They hit my order. This was going to be fresh. And it was. Fresh and quick. It’s Neapolitan style, right? In the oven a couple of minutes. The smell was amazing. I was desperate to tuck in. Exceptional flavours, cooked to perfection and warm, Scottish service. It’s not all deep-fried mars bars and stovies up here, you know.

Been a big fan of Más for a couple of years now and decided to try the at home box for Valentine's day. I'm a coeliac as well as pescetarian so something of a difficult customer, Más has always been amazing for gluten free options and this time was no exception! We had fun listening to Mexican tunes while heating up the dishes (it was super easy) and enjoying the espresso martinis as an apéritif. Also I think I am addicted to queso fundido now. Thank u for always being so accommodating and making our evening extra special!!

The selection of games is impressive—almost overwhelming—with something for everyone. The large tables were perfect for our group of seven, allowing us all to sit together comfortably. The coffee is among the best in Dundee, and the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive, taking the time to explain everything to us. The prices for food and drinks were very reasonable, especially compared to other cafés, which meant we could relax and stay longer without feeling like we were overspending. The menu was a standout feature too, offering gluten-free and vegan options, which meant everyone in our group could find something to enjoy. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone—families, groups of friends, or even solo visitors. I only wish we’d discovered it sooner! We’ll definitely be back, and I’m already planning to bring my family for a game day or enjoy an evening here with my partner for a fun date that doesn’t involve wine. Places like this are a breath of fresh air and should be opening up all over Scotland. It’s such a wonderful addition to the community, and I honestly can’t praise it enough! 👏👏👏

Highly recommended if you are a Celiac like myself. Just mention you are gluten free and they will do all they can to aid you. Plenty of traditional options. Every question was answered and double checked. Young waiter was very attentive and brought great conversation to my partner and I. Sadly the tip is split 50/50 with the owners which was rather disappointing. I will most definitely will be returning.

We had a lovely family dinner here! I'm gluten intolerant and they don't have a gluten-free menu, but when you order, just tell them about your allergies and they'll let you know what you can have... and my Lamb Jalfrezi and rice was delicious! It was very flavorful and hit the spot perfectly, I would definitely recommend coming here for a curry!
