Had a lovely lunch with my cousin yesterday. Plenty of choices for us both (she is gluten free and vegan. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal, my lamb curry was excellent. Great service and atmosphere!!

Glad Google has asked me to leave a review because it means I did book a table, The White Horse said I didn’t. I used to love this pub but clearly Friday night was not their night. We arrived and waited over 10 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us. The woman behind the bar was on her own and trying to serve several customers. The waitress must have been new and told me I didn’t have a booking but sat us at one of the four or five empty tables and disappeared never to return.
My friend is gluten intolerant so we searched the menu for gluten free dishes but there appeared to be none, there was no one around to ask. We didn’t see any food on the other four occupied tables. We waited over fifteen minutes and realised this was not going to work and the evening would be more frustrating than enjoyable, so we left!! I think the main problem was they were very short staffed and just couldn’t cope. Completely unprofessional. Probably won’t be returning any time soon.

Bruce and Marlena did an excellent job serving us a private dinner for 26 guests. The food was consistently delicious: we had mixed tapas to start, seafood in a bisque and tomahawk steaks for our main, and a selection of finger food sweet cakes for dessert. Acorn was able to cater for multiple dietary requirements including vegetarians, lactose-intolerant, pregnant, gluten-free, and a combination of all the above. They were very clear which foods were suitable for which guests, and ensured that the alternatives were also great. The wine list was good and reasonably priced, with a tasty Alberino which we enjoyed. The only thing we struggled with was that the cancellation policy was not clear for a large group like ourselves and we had to go back and forth a bit to establish how it worked. Otherwise everything was fantastic. Thank you!

I love this italian restaurant! The food is always amazing and the staff are so polite. I’m also gluten intolerant and there are lots of options. My favourite is the Rucoletta pizza with prosciutto ham (as seen in the picture). Also have a good selection of beer, wine and cocktails. Highly recommend you try out this restaurant, I go regularly because it’s my favourite spot in Godalming! 10/10 recommend
