We used to come here for every birthday, and holiday, just because for desserts. They no longer have as many gluten-free, peanut-free baked goods. The champagne cake used to be amazing, and so was the almond cake. But something has changed and every time we get it no one eats. It's dry, or too sweet, tastes funny, etc. For now, we will stick to the macarons.

Stopped by on our way home from San Francisco. Easy access from the freeway. Plenty of parking. I’m gluten free and from what I could quickly see, there were two items in the pastry case marked as gluten friendly. I got the last GF chocolate glazed donut. It was little and very good. My lavender latte with oat milk was also very good. It appears to be a favorite with locals. Young families and people working on their laptops. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the bathroom. It’s functional but the fan cover is missing on the wall and is covered in dust. A little clean up and decor in the bathroom would help it be a positive rather than a takeaway. We would definitely return.

This location proved to be a great choice. I've always liked Olive Garden and this place had excellent service. We were a party of 6 and the server was very attentive to us. We also had a gluten allergy concern (in a place of pasta and bread) and no issues at all. Very pleased! So involved in the conversations and dining I forgot to take pictures. Highly recommended👍

Arrived at 12:30 on a Sunday afternoon after hiking Lagoon Valley Park, and we were absolutely famished!
I looked for a near by Gluten Free Restaurant and was delighted to see that Essence had items on their menu clearly marked Gluten Free! I will share that I called ahead to confirm and when I was at the restaurant inquired about the items that are deep fried and learned that it’s a shared fryer, so if your concerned about cross contamination avoid those. However I had the Masala Dosa and was very pleased with the portion size and the flavors. The other people in my party had the mango chicken with rice and an order of garlic naan each! The server inquired about the spice level for the mango chicken and they wanted it mild, it came out extremely palatable for them with regards to heat as well as still very jam packed with flavor. The servers also came by regularly to fill our water as well as checking in the food was good or if there was anything else we needed. We forgot to take a picture of the food before however here is the after math of our collective clean plates!

I have gluten allergies and had the garlic mushroom chicken and sweet and sour chicken and in loooove!! I havent had since being diagnosed and very happy, i didnt get a reaction. Very happy they have decent gluten free options. The only thing i wish i asked was to put rice on the side as it was a lot of soup vs on same plate but not a deal breaker, food was delicious! First time I didn't get my food (offered a refund - still haven't seen it). We have been eating at Mary's for years and we love it. My friends even tease me because they all know my "special order." I'll start with saying the bread is good, we love to dip it in the ranch. The Mary's salad with the cheese and salami and all the stuff is very tasty. My most favorite thing is the Gnocchi. I get the Meatball on the side with red sauce and get the creamy pesto sauce on the Gnocchi. YUM! My husband likes the pigs in a blanket, funny I know but its a beef hotdog, mozzarella wrapped in pizza dough. My boys get he pepperoni pizza every time. And my youngest daughter is happy they even have a gluten free pasta option.

I met Vio the owner this morning, she was very welcoming from the get-go. I was looking for gluten-free and vegan options for the staffs at our office and she was super helpful and telling me which ones were going to be my best options and which ones my staff would like the most.
