Wish they provided a good gluten free pizza crust. We have to go to Brown Dog in Telluride for a gluten free crust that's not like cardboard
The gluten free crust was the worst we had. They wouldn’t let us eat at the restaurant because we ordered over the phone and then they made us feel bad about it. Definitely not going back.
This grocery spot in Montrose offers a clean, modern vibe with a solid variety of products, making it a favorite among locals.

City Market South has earned its spot as my trusted go-to for groceries. Their cheese selection? Impressive, to say the least. Now, it's no secret they could use more hands at the checkout, and their card system doesn't always jive with my local bank, but the warm-hearted staff more than make up for any bumps.
As a regular click list user, I've come to rely on the pickup crew. They're dealing with some quirky decisions from up top, but they handle it with grace. Kudos to them.
One suggestion? Adding some electric vehicle chargers, especially near the pickup area, would be a big win. Imagine being able to use those "fuel points" while loading up the groceries. It's a simple improvement that could go a long way.
Stepping into City Market South feels like a breath of fresh air. It's clean, modern, and spacious. They've got a great selection of organic produce, nuts, and seeds tucked away in the back. Perfect for health-conscious shoppers. And the prices? They're fair and won't break the bank.
During my visit, the deli was a bit short-staffed, but Rusty, one of their dedicated employees, was hustling and provided exceptional service with a smile. That's what I call going the extra mile. It's a level of service that sets City Market South apart from the rest, including stores in larger cities like Denver.
In comparison to the North side City Market, this one's a clear winner. The newer, more modern layout of City Market South beats out the dated feel of the other location. While there are occasional aisle blockers, most shoppers are considerate.
While there have been some stock shortages in recent months, they typically offer a solid variety of common food categories. Their gluten-free selection has improved over the years, showing a commitment to meeting diverse dietary needs. Prices are reasonable, and even lean towards being budget-friendly.
The atmosphere at City Market South is undeniably pleasant. The positive energy is evident, and the staff exude warmth and hospitality. The floral department deserves a special mention for going above and beyond to help me get flowers to my mom for Mother's Day. It's acts like these that truly make a difference.
Whenever I'm in Montrose, this City Mart is a must-stop. It brings back memories of my favorite hometown grocery stores, and that's something I really appreciate. My service dog and I always feel welcome here.
Lastly, the staff at City Market South are true gems. Their friendliness, patience, and willingness to go the extra mile have made a lasting impression on me. Special thanks to Nick, who was quick to assist us during a particularly challenging shopping trip. The excellent selection and efficient pickup service make City Market South a top choice for all your household needs.
In short, City Market South is a reliable stop in Montrose. With its outstanding cheese selection, dedicated staff, and commitment to customer satisfaction, it's a grocery store that stands out. While a few tweaks could enhance the experience even further, this market is undoubtedly a top-notch choice for any shopper.
Famous for its massive cinnamon rolls and generous portions, this spot promises a satisfying breakfast experience worth returning for.

My wife and I travelled through Montrose a few days ago and stopped at Starvin' Arvin's for breakfast as they had gluten free pancakes and my wife has Celiac. The food was great, and the portion sizes were huge! I was given the option of toast of cinnamon roll with my breakfast, I choose the cinnamon roll and the thing was like 5" in diameter! It was also delicious. I would definitely be back and highly recommend this location!
We stopped for a late lunch on a Monday afternoon. The food was delicious, there was plenty of it, and they knew how to navigate Celiac Sprue. The waitress was thoughtful, efficient, and very pleasant. I'm pleased!
Cozy spot with limited seating that's perfect for quick takeout and popular for its tasty pizza selection.

Great pizza with gluten free crust options. Staff were very friendly and we didn't have to wait long. There are only 3 small two person tables taken up by one family so we had to do to go but otherwise a great place.
A hidden gem with a serene garden patio and fresh bagels, perfect for a quick bite or remote work before your next adventure!

Wonderful find for a good meal and even as a place to work from. They have free wifi and a garden patio in back (nice & quiet if nobody else is sitting there). As you walk to the back you can see the bagels getting made! That's how you know they are very fresh. There is something for every diet here - gluten free, vegan, etc. I got a customized bagel sandwich ('create your own' option on a rosemary garlic bagel with hummus, avocado, spinach) and a bananarama smoothie. I took it to-go and headed out to Black Canyon od the Gunnison national park for some hiking. The smoothie really hit the spot on a hot summer day! The bagel was good aside from getting lettuce instead of spinach lol - not a big deal. I would return again when in Montrose.
Chill vibe with a nice atmosphere, plus a solid choice for Italian pasta lovers in Montrose looking for a unique twist.

Their gluten free pasta was good. I got the fettuccine Alfredo, and it was good, but could have used some more flavor.
The atmosphere was nice, but the AC was just blowing on me the whole time so I was a little chilly.
Overall I would come back, specifically for the GF pasta.
Awesome food, awesome staff. My wife has celiac and is vegan. She loves their vegetarian tacos. She gets them without cheese and the corn tortillas gluten free.
Walked into a wonderful coffee shop restaurant. I was greeted by the warm friendly owner. The citrus chicken salad was incredible. Coffee excellent. Being a celiac I wasn't able to enjoy the fresh baked desserts.
Very good tacos. Be aware the prices are per taco. My wife has celiac and follows a plant based / vegan diet. She was able to enjoy their tacos and said their GF tortilla was the best she ever had.
Montrose CO Qdoba is always a great place to eat a meal. The staff is very nice and attentive. The food is always fresh and I have celiac disease and am able to get plenty of gluten free food.
