We were excited to try this spot coming from out of town. The donuts are so pretty and unique. We went for pickup at 8:00. They were out of the first and second choice gluten free, which was the reason we picked the spot. The 8 we got were all heavy, greasy, and really sweet. We bought a couple day old donuts since they had available flavors, but they were not good!! At $4.50+/piece I expected better.

I have celiacs disease and the employee was very knowledgeable. Changed gloves, got a new scoop, and a brand new bin of ice cream. They even had gluten free waffles! Good food and good service. The Bloody Mary was great. Only knock is the lack of gluten free options. No gluten free toast. Had to leave the croissant off my breakfast and there was no substitute, so was charged the same price for less food.

This is my go to place for breakfast and has been for years when visiting family in Missoula. Just had their ruby croissant (rhubarb and berry) and it was exceptional. Gluten muffins and cookies are available too. Great views of the Platte river in a lovely part of town. You will only be disappointed if they are closed!

Awesome manager and workers! I have an unfortunate diet that relies on low histamine foods to keep me healthy. Oddly enough, they have some gluten free and low-ish histamine options that work GREAT! The manager walked me through what was in the options I COULD have, super fast. The order didn't take more than 4 minutes start to finish with explanations, and the food was prepared in under 5 minutes. Very impressed with this location! (If you are a chicken hound, be sure to order an extra side of chicken for your bowl :) )

From the moment I reached out to the Mustard Seed to find out what options they may have for a large-ish party (25-30), Kathryn and Chase made it easy. They were quick to respond, helpful in organizing and just plain made it simple to set up their room upstairs for our group. Any questions I had about menu options (including vegetarian and Gluten Free options) were quickly answered and easily accommodated. The room is a perfect place for a get-together. Nice space with nice natural light and easy decor for arranging tables in a way that works best for the party. It had a nice private feel but we didn’t feel like we were in a back room somewhere. Our server, Kenzi, completely nailed the ordering, groupings, drinks and meals. A complete pro. And she was a pleasure to interact with - she even helped snap a few photos. The food was great and the menu had something for everyone. The drinks and desserts were also tasty and everything was delivered timely - no waits or mix ups. Thanks again to all involved. The staff made it slick and comfortable from the planning to the final bill when it could have been a difficult situation serving such a wide age group with such varying tastes and personalities. A perfect experience.

Love rice fine thai! Was happily surprised to find one in Missoula after eating at the ones in Bozeman. Delicious and the portions at this location are amazing! 👏 My drunken noodle is gluten free so it doesn't look the same as normal drunken noodle per the video included. But still so so yummy.

bomb A++. great options for vegans/vegetarians. there is a whole section of the menu outlined with veggie options and all of the gluten free items are clearly labeled. great service. the sushi comes on beautiful stone plates which makes the food seem way more expensive than it is!!! great sushi at a fair price. super quality sushi, hand rolled and well made. my partner says you can tell a sushi place is good if they use little rice and more veggies. by that standard, this place is amazing.

I am eating here right now! I lived at Jesse Hall in 1988, and am a Uof M grad. Go Griz! Today, I am enjoying the PB & J burger, soup and chips. They have an awesome menu, good prices, and friendly staff. Plethoria of coffees and teas, gluten free options, and the inside and outside of the place is warm and inviting. Enjoy the ambiance of the outside patio or inside seating. Plenty of room and immediately beside U of M. Families come here when you drop off your kiddo at U of M. I remember when the owner first opened this place. He noted that he wanted a place for people to enjoy good food, coffee/tea, and just have a good time. Plus, not go away unhappy or hungry. Portions are genuine....I know so and enjoy good a lot. However, I enjoy this food even more. I hope U.of M stufe ts make this their go to place!

First time at Old Chicago, and I took my son to dinner! The gluten-free BBQ bacon cheese burger is FANTASTIC!! Impressed w/GF menu in general!👌 My son had the same, said "best burger he's ever had." 😋 Service was great, we chose to sit in the bar & the atmosphere was great (slightly noisy, but what bar isn't)? If I could give it more stars I would! They employees are beyond nice and the food is scrumptious! I got two nigiri with real crab, my boyfriend got two tuna nigiri and it was only $14 for 4 nigiri!! They’re delicious and very fairly priced! Also as someone who is newly gluten free this place has been such a life saver, they have the most delicious spicy mayo to go along with your sushi as well :)

Wonderful restaurant. I loved the vast gluten-free and vegetarian options. They can do gluten-free pancakes, sandwiches, burgers, and even french fries! Today I tried the overnight oats for the first time. They were delicious, topped with date syrup, fresh fruit, and whipped cream. My guest had a waffle with Nutella, which looked amazing! I will say, it may be a bit on the pricier side for this style of restaurant. That said, I've had burgers, sandwiches, salads, and now breakfast from this place and I've never been disappointed. The food is always fresh, well cooked and seasoned, and the portions are hardy. The waitstaff is also super friendly. I like the laid-back atmospheric. I truly appreciate this new addition to our local restaurant selection. If you have any dietary restrictions, I guarantee they will have an option for you!
