We came from Atlanta and then walked 2.5 miles just to have this pizza. I had seen them on CBS mornings. They use flour from Italy which is what I use at home and doesn't bother my gluten intolerance. Worth every step!!!!!!
Feel at home in a cozy dining room vibe with delicious, scratch-made meals and unique decor that make every visit special.

The Salty Chef's restaurant is a great family friendly feel place to eat! There's a section of the restaurant that is set up like a dining room table area. It makes you feel right at home! My husband LOVED his bacon blue burger. I have celiac disease and this facility is not a dedicated gluten-free, HOWEVER, the husband & wife owners were very knowledgeable of how to accommodate my gluten-free dietary needs. I ordered a cup of Vegan Carrot Ginger soup & Salty Chefs Salmon Cobb Salad. Both were SO delicious! I can't leave out the amazing warm gluten-free brownie topped with homemade fresh fruit compote that I took to go! This is a MUST try place! You will not be disappointed! Thank you Salty Chefs for giving me a worry free gluten-free meal & dessert!
A hardworking staff member made the visit enjoyable with quick service, and the location provides easy access to nearby canal-side attractions.

The Server was very sweet but the food.. The gluten-free pizza was Horrible. I couldn’t even finish 1 slice, also Cost me $30! Was not worth it. I didnt want to make a fuss about it since I had my son with me,so I just sucked it up didn’t say anything. The normal pizza was fine just pizza nothing special.

Very much a locals spot.
For gluten-free diners, please know there are multiple safe options, including gf wings. However, the gf pizza crust is cauliflower, so if you cannot tolerate this, like me, please order accordingly. The menu does not specify.
Get ready for a flavor-packed experience with fantastic service and unique dishes that will leave you craving more!

We all loved our food very much!!! Fantastic service, delicious unique flavors! Best creme brulee I've ever had! Only suggestion would be perhaps a few more gluten-free options, they were a little limited.
Can't wait to go back!😋
A creative menu and generous portions make this spot a must-visit, especially for those craving flavorful dishes that impress on every level.

Extensive and creative menu, lots of gluten free options (have celiac), prompt service, generous portions. Ordered today and got the jerk chicken rice bowl with arugula and mango salsa in size large: two full servings. Flavors were impeccable and spot on. Exactly what I was craving. I will definitely be coming back. So so good, a must try.
A cute, popular spot buzzing with energy, featuring vibrant tacos and sweet Loganberry Margaritas that keep everyone coming back for more.

This place is so wonderful, such delicious food that features local farm raised proteins. I have celiac and I've never had an issue with the gf prepared tacos. The mushroom is my fave! The staff are always lovely, even when they are slammed. The only issue is that sometimes because they are so popular it can get crowded and loud, that said it is a wonderful option that I wholeheartedly support.
Exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere make for a standout dining experience, especially after a long day of travel.

Had a late dinner when we arrived and had the pleasure of having Nicole. She was educated on gluten free items, was very friendly and so much fun. We had a fabulous dinner and conversation!
With a laid-back vibe, expect delicious food, excellent service, and a dog-friendly atmosphere where your pup is treated like royalty.

I'm only taking a star off because I have Celiac Disease and ordered everything on corn tortillas but one of mine came on flour. I had orange glasses on so I didn't notice until I had taken a bite. I was sick for about a week and a half. However, I probably could have let the server know that I needed corn tortillas due to Celiac so that extra care would be taken. That said, I've never had issues before, particularly at the location on Hertel, and the food is delicious, the service is excellent, and they are dog friendly! They gave our puppy a bowl of water and lots of pets so accidental glutening can be forgiven. I'd definitely still go back.
BEWARE ! I bought a new product for spot coffee. David's cookies. Gluten free chocolate chip brownie, nut free, dairy free, 44 percent sugar, 44 percent added sugar. Total 88 % sugar. No way. Not acceptable. Not healthy!
Incredibly helpful with Celiac adjustments for food! They label some items as gluten free that go in a shared fryer (which isn't gluten free for those with the autoimmune disease) however a simple convo with your server and they'll let you know which items are safe! The staff is seriously amazing! If they had a second fryer that was for gluten free items only, I'd be in trouble because I'd go far too often. Everything is delicious.
Experience a delightful blend of Italian and Greek vibes, with a relaxed atmosphere and a talented chef crafting flavorful dishes you’ll love!

A great night at Blue Cave, one of downtown Buffalo's new restaurants! We felt extremely welcome from the moment we walked in the door. The staff is very attentive and seemed to be enjoying their jobs! We were seated promptly upstairs. This is an Italian restaurant. However, we did feel more of a Greek, Santorini type vibe from the decor and overall atmosphere. It really didn't matter because everything we ordered was very enjoyable. Our drinks were good, especially their specialty apple cider mule. For appetizers, we ordered the Panelle chickpea fritters and the Caponata fried eggplant. The two complimented each other well. Next came our second course, the salads. We ordered the Mediterranea and Misticanza. The fried artichokes were a fantastic topping on the mixed greens! Finally, for our main entree, we both chose the seabass listed on the menu with a side of truffle mashed potatoes and asparagus. The seabass was Italian branzino that was cooked and steamed in a parchment bag . Large flavorful portions. They have lots of healthy options and gluten-free pasta available, too. The chef, who I think may also be the owner, is very talented and really knows how to cook!!
Definitely make a stop out to support this local business. You won't be disappointed!
Chill vibes and unique coffee options await, plus a cozy spot with outdoor seating and tasty vegan treats to enjoy!

In September 2023, I visited for the 1st time Overwinter's Genesee Street cafe. The barista was nice. Besides buying a bag of Easy Drinker beans (my fav), I tried a coffee I never had before. There are a couple of bar stools at the window and a couple of tables outside. The date energy balls were good (vegan & gluten free). I frequent other Overwinter locations.
Upscale and modern dining experience in Buffalo with a self-playing piano, perfect for special occasions or a classy night out.

We are from the Boston area and are accustom to great Italian food as well as great seafood. The bread was over toasted which lead me to believe it was actually stale and toasted, because one piece was hard and charred. Next our meatballs came out cold. The sauce and meatball were cold. Our salads came just several minutes after we started eating apps, which is not how you time dinner . The Caesar salad was textbook Ken’s dressing and bagged croutons. The main dinner was the lobster Malfade. The menu says it’s homemade pasta , but it’s definitely not made there. The lobster was extremely over cooked. The sauce was not flavorful. My daughter’s ziti was over cooked to the point that the pasta was completely flat and had lost its shape. We had 5 wine glasses at the table for our two bottles of wine, no two glasses were the same. My husband had a martini and it was only 1/3 full. Martinis should always be hard not to spill if poured correctly. We chose this restaurant over Tappo because we thought they had more GF options, they didn’t. The spinach artichoke dip had Gluten in it, not sure why. We thought we would be safe with the tortilla chips but they were flour. They do offer gf pasta and pizza crust , so that was fine. The server was so sweet, we shared our story with manager, she was also nice. She comped the items we were not happy with. I shared most but not all concerns because it would have taken up as much time as this review is taking me to write and I didn’t want to do this twice. Also the manager comped us dessert which was very nice of her. Over all I’d say vibe was okay, lights were strangely bright for an Italian dining experience. Almost like phone flashlight weird. If I knew it was in the Embassy hotel I wouldn’t have gone there. Typically not a fan of hotel restaurants and these reasons are why.
Again the staff was lovely but the rest was not worth the over $400 dinner AFTER food was comped.
Experience great atmosphere and generous portions at this downtown gem, where tasty meals and friendly bartenders keep everyone coming back.

Here’s three reasons to visit downtown Buffalo: Eddie Brady’s Saloon has good food, good service, and a good atmosphere. Our Friday fish fry had a big serving + sides at a price all of us agreed was better than any other place we had gone for a fish fry.
The waitress happily accommodated a gluten-sensitive customer, and it’s her husband doing the cooking in the kitchen!
And Patrick the bartender cheerfully slings fresh beer on tap.
We will be back!
