TLDR: First time visit! Beautiful interior, friendly and accommodating staff, and good food. Not very vegan friendly, but would come again!
It would be really helpful to add dietary restriction indications or allergens on the menu. Simply noting “egg-free” or “dairy-free” would make a huge difference in the servers having to run back and fourth with questions. Creating ONE fully vegan dish (that is NOT gluten free) would be a great addition!
Elaborating:
I was a bit confused to be honest, because it seems that EVERYTHING is made with egg - the homemade pasta I understand, but I had never heard of bread, pizza dough, or gnocchi being made with eggs.
The server suggested vegan greens for me (leaving the meat and cheese on the side, and removing the breadcrumbs…). Very kind and a creative idea! Though I’ll admit that I probably won’t order them vegan again, because it’s just not the same without being baked with all the extras.
I was told that the gluten-free pasta is also vegan, so I ordered that with red sauce and added a bunch of veggies. It was good!!
That all being said, I would and will come back! Suggestions above are to help with the future experience of those with dietary restrictions :)
Unique sandwiches with delicious bread and great coffee make this spot a must-visit, leaving you eager to come back for more!

It's always great when you go to a place that make sandwiches and they have gluten free bread! And it's delicious! And they have gluten free desserts too! The coffee was delicious. They use Boar's head meats....so good! So glad we found this place and we will totally be going back!
My wife & I celebrated our anniversary at Hawkeye in the early fall and were amazed by the fall foliage and gorgeous lakeside view. The beer sampler and the white sangria were really tasty and the food we ordered (salad with salmon and fried chicken with dill coleslaw) was as exquisite as the view. Hawkeye also gets a gold star for offering a large number of gluten-free options. We look forward to returning again soon.

If you enjoy delicious coffee, good eats and a pleasant atmosphere, this is a must-visit little coffee shop tucked off the main drag in Cooperstown. Espresso, served in a small to-go cup instead of the tiny espresso cups which is good if you want to add milk I guess, was nutty, dark and delicious with a less pronounced bitterness than most others. Broad and creative hot and cold coffee selections including iced coffee - toffee, Super Cold brew (with MCT coconut oil) and Myco Brew coffee (with Host Defense Mushroom Extract). Wide variety of food that expands far beyond just breakfast including a range of garden salads, deli sandwiches, and Paninis make this a fun spot to come for lunch as well. Nice mix of seating options, including a window counter upfront with high top seating, table seating along the sides, a nice more semi formal seating area with tables in the back, and a fun patio with umbrellas in the back. The tables on the back room are arranged next to what appears to be a steam engine from a 1940s locomotive. Actually, on second glance, that looks like that might be their coffee roasting equipment. Unfortunately, can’t see the lake from here, but the food and beverages more than makes up for the lack of views (and I don’t think there really is much lakefront dining here). They do offer some gluten-free bread options, and do have a couple vegan options, but nothing that is gluten-free and vegan. Knowledgeable and extremely friendly staff will help you select your order as well as engaged in witty banter. Definitely recommend making the trip!
Had 2 nites of take out from this very nice little restaurant in downtown Cooperstown. The food was very good and staff friendly and helpful with my gluten free needs

Great service, amazing food and fantastic atmosphere! Took a quick trip to Cooperstown and picked here out of a bunch of options. We got the octopus appetizer and my husband enjoyed it (turns out I'm not a seafood fan)! The rest of our food was DELICIOUS! Wish we could come back to try the rest of the menu! (Also loved that I could get a gluten free pasta option! Thank you!)

Every summer we drive to Origins Cafe in Cooperstown for delicious food and beautiful plants/flowers. It is a wonderful place for brunch/lunch all served in their open lush greenhouse. We love their refreshing iced herbal hibiscus 🌺 tea. Also, gluten free and vegan options available as well as local goat cheese from the painted goat farm. The energy is amazing here.

This is worth finding in Cooperstown, it is on a side street and not on the Main Street but only a five minute walk from the museum. Cute covered patio with excellent food. Great stop for lunch, after going to baseball hall of fame. The service was great and the food came out fast. The burgers were excellent and I highly recommend the “Big pig” burger. It is not on the menu but they have great gluten free buns also.
Attentive service and a romantic vibe set the stage for high-quality drinks and standout dishes in a cozy, stylish atmosphere.

They are attentive, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The menu clearly indicates gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. The music and decor felt romantic particularly at the bar. The drinks are high quality. Today's special was a fresh muddled cucumber mint and lime martini made with Hendricks gin.I had the pakora and the best Aloo Gobi I have had in years.
It's all about the view sitting on the edge of the water watching the boats go by, eating a burger and sipping a cocktail. Gluten free buns are even available!
A hidden gem with a cozy vibe, perfect for brightening up a gloomy day, offering delicious hearty meals and a cheerful atmosphere.

This place was recommended by the fellow working in the bakery the street. So glad for the information because we would not have found this place otherwise. Everything about this place was cheerful and cozy on a drizzly day. Great chili, burgers, and fries. They even have gluten-free hamburger buns for those of us who can't eat normal buns. Home run!
