Cute little restaurant that is inside a hotel. It is located on a quaint little road and across from a public library so you feel like you are in a Hallmark Movie. We chose this place because it came up in a search for Gluten Free food that was close to Lake Placid. The Butternut squash soup was delicious, I was pleased they had Gluten Free bread to dip in it and the salad was so yummy with the housemade dressing and figs and pears! Very filling. My boyfriend got the burger and said it was really delicious. I liked how they even branded the bun with their logo. Only thing was that it was cold in there so I took off one star for that on atmosphere (I think the AC was on and it was a cooler fall day) so bring a jacket. I did hear other patrons commenting on how cold it was in there and our coffee got cool quickly too. We liked how the coffee mugs were the true adirondack vibe too. The waiter was friendly and very prompt. A good stop and we will be back soon!
Fresh ingredients and special care make for a pleasant grab-and-go experience, even if the bread could be better.

I was able to order a sandwich on gluten free bread. The woman who made it, made mine first and clearly understood and took extra care. They also had some coleslaw and chicken salads in the to go fridge that were marked GF as well as some items labeled DF. The bread was dry but hey we all know that’s just the way it is, sadly, but the ingredients were fresh. It was nice to be able to grab a celiac safe sandwich on the go.
An absolute gem! Why wait for a table somewhere else when you can walk right into the most amazing burgers and fries! Gluten free and vegetarian options available too!
Enjoy stunning sunset views over the lake from picnic tables while soaking in a laid-back vibe after a day of hiking.

The boathouse at Saranac Lake was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting we have the grilled salmon which was absolutely delicious. They have indoor and outdoor seating, The outdoor seating sits directly on the lake. We sat outdoors at the picnic table and watch the sunset what was a great ending to our day of hiking.
Turn on you had the gluten-free and vegan options so there are many options for dietary restrictions.
The staff were friendly and was very helpful answering any questions you have about the food and the things we can maybe substitute out.
Expect a fun, casual vibe with a unique menu that keeps you coming back for more!

Exceeded expectations. Everything down to the bread was great (per my family). I have a minor GF allergy and they flagged things that I wouldn’t have known would have gluten (like the au jus). Great food and huge portions. Service was attentive and friendly. Would def recommend.
We were spending a couple of days in Saranac Lake. We decided to come to La Bella’s for dinner. We were seated right away, and our waiter was very polite and attentive. The homemade bread and dipping sauce was a welcome surprise and tasted excellent. Our Italian dishes were very good. The red sauce was excellent, as well as was the mixed green salads which came before our meals. One of the members of our party has a gluten allergy, and it was great to know that they had gluten free pasta available. All through dinner, the waiter continually checked on us and met all of our needs quickly. The dinner portions were large and were bursting with authentic Italian flavors. We would have loved to try the variety of desserts available but were just too full. I would highly recommend this restaurant as opposed to driving to Lake Placid. The prior night we went to Placid for dinner and did not get seated until 9:00 pm. La Bella’s has a nice quiet atmosphere with Adirondack decor, and you are guaranteed to be seated quickly. We will definitely stop here again
