4.5 average at time of review seems to be about right.
Got a salad and added chicken, was a little overpriced for amount of chicken that was added. But the dressing and peppers added was pretty good.
Other people I was with enjoyed their food as well. One has celiacs and this place seemed to be good for gluten intolerances
A chill spot for tasty burgers and beers at great prices, making it perfect for a casual meal without breaking the bank.

Great place to stop for a burger and a beer at a pretty good price. You could get out of there for about $20 if you try. The burgers are great. They have gluten free buns and impossible burgers for the vegan folks.
Experience a vibrant mix of Thai and Lao flavors with fresh veggies, unique spices, and an exclusive hot sauce that you can't miss!

By far the best Thai (and Lao) restaurant in town. They actually use a variety of vegetables (eg broccoli, carrots, cabbage, etc) and spices, not just bell peppers and chili flakes like most places. The food is so delicious, fresh, and plentiful, and they offer many options not served elsewhere. Most of the menu can be vegan and/or gluten-free, too. We always get appetizers and entrees because everything is delicious as leftovers, too.
They catered my appetizers-only wedding a few years ago and the food was a huge success.
Gluten Free imitation crab!! I repeat Gluten Free imitation crab!! Lol I was so excited about it. This is probably the best poke place I’ve ever been to. So many of their proteins are gluten free (drunken scallops and the flyin’ Hawaiian are my faves). Gluten free options are specified on the case. They also have Hawaiian butter mochi which is gf and delicious if you like mochi.
Experience a cozy vibe with flavorful, hearty meals that cater to all dietary preferences and deliver a truly comforting experience.

This spot is AMAZING.
Their website shows that their motto is, "We treat everyone like family because that is what Puerto Rican food means to us!" and it really shines through with comforting meals full of flavorful and hearty ingredients. And their tres leches cake was one of the most amazing things we've ever tried.
Our Faves:
🍲 Tostones (Gluten-Free Friendly)
🍲 Carne Bowl, both Pork & Chicken (Gluten-Free Friendly)
🍲 Pollo Guisado (Gluten-Free Friendly)
🍲 Veggie Guisado Bowl (Gluten-Free/Vegan Friendly)
🍲 Tres Leches Cake
They are a spot you HAVE to try out, so swing by on your next visit to Fairhaven!
This cozy spot has a charming bistro vibe and delivers tasty dishes, though be mindful of the narrow restroom access.

This was a nice little find! We've driven through Bellingham dozens and dozens of times but never ventured beyond Meridian Way in terms of actually stopping in town to get a bite to eat or what not. Today we decided to take a break from the norm and we stumbled upon this cute place and we're glad we did!
The service was really nice and receptive, the gluten free lasagna was one of the best restaurant lasagnas I've ever had, and the price tag wasn't too bad for the quality of food. It's the only pasta dish on the menu that's automatically gluten free so I had to reward them by ordering it. All other pasta dishes can be ordered GF but with all things GF there's an upcharge. You can also get GF pizzas and a couple of GF desserts, too.
One *big* drawback though is the bathrooms aren't accessible and are very narrow. There are a couple stairs required to get to the bathroom so if you're wheelchair bound or have trouble with even one stair, don't drink too much. Quite frankly, as a whole, the restaurant isn't wheelchair accessible. In fairness to the restaurant, they're in a building that was made way before the ADA was enacted so this design flaw isn't on them. It's just a product of the time it was built.
I would recommend against having their orange and spice mocktail. It's not at all well balanced, is far too heavy on the bitters, and tastes neither of orange or spice. The server was super kind about taking the drink back when I let them know I wasn't in love with it, however.
Cute restaurant, but service was a tad lacking. That would be honestly fine, except I'm sensitive to gluten and asked for a gluten free bun, and am realizing a few hours later it was in fact, not gluten free. I did tell the server cross contamination was fine, but I didn't expect that'd mean I wouldn't be getting what I was needing.
A spot with a cozy yet safe setup during Covid times, offering a wide selection of wines by the glass and a delightful dining experience.

Excellent wine selection and a special thanks to our waitress that was able to suggest a wine I enjoyed so much: Chateau de Pougelon Beaujolais Gamay 2020 France. We started with the Brandy Cream Muscles that were heavy on cream and didn't taste of brandy or much else. The table bread was appreciated as we were so hungry but tasted of flour without gluten or grain expression as if it was mixed and not kneaded. For entrees we ordered the Lamb Toscana, Gamberi Prosciutto and Chicken Gorgonzola Royale having been notified while seated there was one steak left and no salmon. Our reservation was at 5:30 on a Monday. Everything was so salty that no one finished their meal. The prawns were tepid and salty bringing the freshness in question. The chicken and lamb were also salty but cooked perfectly. The French Brandy and wine were not found in the dishes unfortunately. The head chef as far as I could tell never left the dining area but was friendly and attentive.
A must-visit for vibrant vegan dishes with a spicy kick, this spot keeps fans coming back for more tasty surprises!

My favorite vegan food in Bellingham!! Lots of gluten friendly options too. The service is always so friendly. Thank you!! My fave is the Hidden Dragon with McConaughey style fries, both are spicy but I love it 🔥

Great food, and fast service. Everything I ate was delicious. The atmosphere on a nice sunny day was impeccable and the staff was super friendly. We spent around $10-20 per person and the food perfectly accommodated our dietary restrictions without modification. Wonderful choice for gluten free vegetarian options.
Enjoy a unique twist on brunch with creative dishes like eggs benedict served on a waffle—definitely a must-try experience!

Had a wonderful eggs benedict. It was served on a waffle, which was my choice. Next time I go there I'll probably have the same thing, it was so delicious. My friend had a gluten free savory crepe. 😋
Fresh and generously portioned sushi with a standout red dragon roll; perfect for takeout and consistently praised for quality.

Best sushi in Bellingham! The fish is very fresh and has a great texture. We especially liked the red dragon. The salmon nigiri was delicious too. They are very accommodating for gluten free folks too! To go only right now
Delicious food. Nice atmosphere. Friendly, attentive staff. I cannot eat gluten, and they helped me select safe menu items. Prices were very high. Not someplace I'd go regularly for that reason alone, but we very much enjoyed our dinner.
With amazing options for vegetarians and a variety of unique sandwiches, this spot is a must-visit for flavor enthusiasts!

My wife and I were visiting family in Fairhaven and they picked Avenue Bread for the five of us to grab lunch. Turns out, that was an excellent choice. My wife and I are both vegetarians and I was diagnosed Celiac last fall and there were plenty of options for both of us—including some amazing gluten free bread. The flavors were spot-on and and while I could have eaten two of those sandwiches without blinking, I might just do that next time we’re in town.
