I was looking for a cozy café and happened to stumble upon Belle Central. The decor and atmosphere immediately appealed to me. I tried a dandy latte, which I had never had before, and a piece of salted caramel. Delicious, and the service was pleasant as well. Absolutely love this place. Everything is completely gluten free, and lots of things are also vegan-friendly. The veg pies are my favourite (and I'm saying that as someone who can eat regular pastry with gluten - these are still the best). Sales assistant is not the brightest and she's really rude. I asked a simple question about the difference between the seconds products and the full price products and she stared at me for ages, then gave a stupid answer, something like "well, the gluten ones have gluten and the non-gluten ones don't". Not really the place for attitude when I was expecting an answer that would reassure me that although they're seconds the taste is fine, they're just not the right shape or something like that. Anyway, I was going to buy a lot more but not with that attitude, ended up only buying a couple of things. Visit was on 4/11/2024 and an old woman served me.

i’ve been to this cafe many times and i just say it is my favourite halal cafe in Sydney! The food is absolutely delicious and fresh. They have a wide variety of options to choose from such as pasta, seafood, salad, burgers, desserts all day breakfast, vegan AND gluten free options!!! Offers outdoor and indoor seating and i must say the aesthetic of this cafe is gorgeous, don’t forget to book a booth with your friends as they do get busy on weekends! Service is amazing and the workers always ensure we are kept happy. MUST VISIT CAFE!

We had a reservation and we’re a few minutes late & the table wasn’t ready - still dirty with dishes etc we were given a menu to peruse (in a dark corner near the POS) there were minimal GF meals so not ideal for coeliacs and we waited almost 10 minutes for our table, we were seated and then the table was wiped and clean water glasses were taken away. No water was offered. We ordered drinks and dinner, questions regarding GF meals were answered but not confirmed, drinks arrive, then dinner we had to request cutlery & additional Parmesan , we got cutlery but no Parmesan. Throughout our meal no one approached us to ask us how our meal was. The pumpkin risotto was bland but the 3 meat rigatoni was wonderful and a large meal so I requested a take away container which was received. Still no customer service. Yes The meals are large & yes it’s pricey but so are all other Italian restaurants in Newcastle. The atmosphere was noisy and very busy. Would go again on a quieter night / day but certainly not during school holidays.

Oliver brown is awesome! Comfortable atmosphere, cordial staff, and superb espresso. I had a coffee and it was delectable. Incredible food choices, including vegetarian and without gluten. Strongly suggest visiting for a first class espresso experience!
