Overpriced for small portions served with a side of attitude for free; rushed to order and felt unwelcoming and like we’d done something wrong before even speaking. Also says gluten free can be accommodated on a sign outside but when asked, we were told no (no further context or explanation) and felt like we couldn’t ask anything else.

We had such a good experience here! Our food was incredible and fresh, and so full of flavour. I’m gluten free and asked if they could make a few adjustments and the waitress wasn’t sure but sent the chef out to speak to us, and he was very accommodating. The mussels were out of this world, and we were disappointed they were sold out of salmon but it comes directly from the ocean in Akaroa and weren’t getting the next fresh delivery til that afternoon, from the morning’s catch. Would come back just for that!

THE Thai restaurant to go to in Akaroa, and yes I’ve tried both. Really flavourful food, with vegan and gluten free options easily available. The generous scoop of ice cream afterwards was the perfect end to a lovely meal. The owner is so nice!
