I was there an hour 40mins ago and bought brownie cheesecake slice and a Mince & Cheese pie which they heated up from cold for me, made today apparently. Together they cost me $17.50!!
There are no prices displayed so if you're going here expecting to be satisfied on a typical NZ bakery budget then think again, the gluten free premium is rife here.
Do note the lack of stars on this review reflects only on the pie of which I'm disappointed, I am half way through the pie now and I still haven't tasted the filling. For what I'm guessing is a $9 pie it's not up to par compared to much better pies in the Wellington region that are cheaper and packed to the brim with filling.
Speaking of which I've gotten to the filling at last and it tastes great but still no sign of cheese. Upon finishing the pie now my conclusion is there's less than 1 teaspoon of cheese in this pie.
Sorry guys but my experience of a most basic pie is lacklustre. Unlikely this review will directly affect your high rating but pie wanters should know what to expect.
Enjoy a delightful mix of flavors with a surprising variety of options and a cozy vibe, perfect for a casual bite with friends.

Quality fish'n'chips, have a gluten free fryer so the coeliac in the family didn't miss out. Super busy at peak times. Recommend ordering online for pick up.

š«¶š» We had a wonderful experience at Miss Kangsta! As a gluten-free (coeliac!) restaurant, itās absolutely fantastic ā delicious food, fresh ingredients, and so many creative options. The staff was welcoming and very knowledgeable about dietary needs, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone looking for amazing gluten-free dining in Wellington!

Such a cool spot on the corner of cuba! Great prices for generous portions and a lovely atmosphere. Staff are always lovely and so good about dietaries! Iām coeliac, dairy and nut free and feel very safe eating here (disclaimer: obviously thereās still risks!), would definitely recommend for vegans and vegetarians too! Only thing Iāve noticed after coming here a few times is the gluten free pasta can be way too salty at times. (Donāt think this is always the case but I think it might be from over salting the water as gf pasta absorbs so much more than regular pasta & itās not the sauce thatās too salty).
This spot serves up incredible burgers and shakes with a vibrant vibe that keeps people coming back for more!

Had an excellent gluten free fish and chips. GF batter and dedicated fryer produced a delectable, non-greasy batter-dipped fish and accompanying fries. Super helpful wait person too!

What a great experience! It was our first time at Kisa and appreciated our friendly server explaining everything to us, the special care taken with my gluten-free requirement, and truly delicious food. The smacked cucumber was my (surprising) favourite on the menu, and everything was made to perfection, fragrant and tasty. We were a large group at a long table, and even so, we could share conversations across the length of the table - a total plus. We will definitely return to sample the rest of the menu. An absolute highlight of the weekend!

We had a wonderful meal at Damascus on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was almost entirely full at 5:30 and we can understand why. Iām a coeliac who canāt have dairy so itās not always easy to find places where I can eat and have choices. Damascusā staff were friendly, the kitchen staff were absolutely awesome! We had a selection of small dishes and a large one. The food was beautifully presented, so incredibly tasty and came in a steady flow. We had a wonderful evening, thank you so much!

We had a fantastic brekkie here and highly recommend this wonderful spot. Great menu with several coeliac-friendly options. The staff are friendly, professional and attentive to detail. I had the hot smoked salmon eggs Benedict and loved the GF bread used as the base. I only like super-hard poached eggs and these guys cooked them perfectly. The coffee (Havana) is great and the room has a funky and relaxed vibe, with a great outlook over Lyall Bay beach and the airport. You can watch planes and ferries come and go while you relax! We got a GF lemon and blueberry cheesecake to take away for later - absolutely delicious. We will be back next time weāre in Wellington!

As a really reactive coeliac, Iām always on the lookout for reviews that help me eat safely. Iād love to help out another coeliac! Fratelli was a lovely experience in all aspects! Staff were reassuring polite, and helpful on the phone, and catered for me beautifully. Attentive, polite, and knowledgeable service. Enjoyable atmosphere. Great wine. We ate here for 2 of the 3 nights we were in Wellington. Delicious pasta and pizza, plus sides. I didnāt experience any symptoms and felt secure that no cross contamination would occur. If we visit Wellington again, Iād be keen to go again! Itās rare to feel so safe and Iām frothing for how safe and lovely our evenings were! Thoroughly recommend.

I ordered from here via Uber eats last night. I've recently been diagnosed as celiac, so I can not eat anything with gluten, so I ordered their gluten-free pizza base. When the pizza arrived, it was freezing cold, and half of the entire crust was burnt to a crisp, and the crust was inedible. The pizza was disgusting and I paid an outrageous price ($36.19) for it with no refund. I never had a bad experience with their food before being diagnosed as celiac but this was extremely disappointing and disgusting, I will not be going back.
Unfortunately, not a good experience today for lunch. The service was slow and full of errors. We were brought the wrong food, and then incorrectly served a gluten free version on a meal. Three of us at the table and all three were served sperately with large lags between dishes coming out. My meal did not arrive in time to eat there and I had to take it take away at 2.45. Sadly won't be returning š
I had the big cook-up. It was great. I was hungry and it hit the spot. My wife is gluten, dairy, nut, egg free. She ordered the coconut salad and said it was great too. Nice view as well

For a colleagues farewell we had a group of 12 on a Wednesday evening from 6pm. They accommodated us with two booth type tables and it was very comfortable.
One diner is coeliac and when the order had a gluten item, staff didn't make a fuss when it was sent back politely. So that's really nice.
Service was friendly and efficient, clearing our table quickly and checking for drink or food orders often.
It wasn't too busy, nor too loud and the atmosphere was cosy. Paying at the end was simple and efficient, they operate their cashier system well.
All told for a large group dining experience I thought it was successful and staff did a great job. Thanks for a great night team.

Burger Wisconsin in Paraparaumu is hansdown the best takeaway food joint I have ever been to. Me and my family went for a road trip to Paraparaumu today and decided we would stop here for lunch straight of the bat as a young teen boy with a dairy allergy, I was treated with a friendly atmosphere with highly respectfull, kind, empathetic and understanding stuff. I was allowed to create my own burger that wasn't specifically on the menu that was gluten and dairy free, with staff double checking. The food was more than amazing and well worth the price, which may seem a little bit steap at first but let me tell you, for ingredients that are handmade right at the shop, dietary inclusivity and understanding and outstandingly tasty burgers it is well worth it. The only downside is the space of the restaurant being a little small and cramped which meant we had to do takeaway but that didn't bother us. It is safe to say I will be recommending burger wisconsin to my family and will definitely be returning to burger wisconsin when i return to Paraparaumu next.
Delicious, vibrant dishes bursting with flavor and excellent service, perfect for a lively outing or takeaway.

Had a large party and they easily sat us. Get the brisket...outside of Texas or Kansas, this is one of the best smoked brisket I've had. Jalapeno poppers are also good. Excellent cocktails, too. Check out the espresso bbq sauce. It had a nice subtle bite to it. Not super hot, 4 out of 10 on the hot scale. Staff was attentive and helpful. We also had a gluten-free person who was easily accommodated.

Best gluten free pizza I had in New Zealand during my World Cup! A ton of variety of toppings and types of pizzas and were very considerate of my gluten intolerance. Family got regular pizzas on the menu and agreed it was the best pizza they had during this trip!
Love the atmosphere of Ombra, started off with a prosecco and the most beautifully balanced heirloom tomato salad, they have a surprising amount of gluten free options (ones that make you feel you're not missing out!) love this for me.

Recently returned from a holiday in New Zealand and took a cable car to view the beautiful gardens and on the way back we saw this restaurant as we were so hungry and decided to try it.
I am so glad we did!!!
I ordered the scotch fillett and asked for it to be gluten free with a cappuccino to be lactose free.
The waiters/waitresses are all very lovely and ever so helpful.
When the meal came out I was flabbergasted. It looked absolutely amazing. It was decorated with the most colourful and beautiful edible flowers and when I cut into it, it was like butter! The most tender and delicious steak I have ever had and it was on a stack of vegetables with roast potatoes and mushrooms.
Compliments to the Chef!
It was absolutely delightful! And the price was only $28.00 AMAZING!!! THIS REVIEW IS THE LEAST I COULD DO.
Thank you so very much for making my trip more memorable.
If I ever come back to New Zealand I will make sure I come and eat at your wonderful restaurant. Thanks again
