I feel obliged to leave this negative review as I have, now on multiple occasions after eating here, contracted horrendous food poisoning as a result. My partner also had this experience less than a year or so ago.
We also have had issues with family members gluten-free requests not being prepared properly and being contaminated.
The practices of the kitchen need to be looked into because something is not right, especially considering the type of food they are producing. How they are storing ingrediants and if cross contamination is introduced while cooking.
The serving staff were more than helpful and courteous, and the establishment was well decorated. It's a real shame.
Elaine, our waitress, was a super star! Food was perfecto. I had the gluten free smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs. I'll definitely be coming back in warmer weather to sit in the stunning garden
We used Rialto for catering on set as we were shooting a film in Dorking. The food, service and communication was amazing! They catered for all our dietary requirements including vegan, veggie, gluten free and other allergies. Couldn't recommend them enough! We had a very happy crew post lunch :)
We happened upon this venue after searching the local area for somewhere nice to have lunch. Arto offered a clean and friendly venue with plenty of capacity during the busier afternoon lunch period. The staff were exceptionally friendly, even on the phone before we arrived when we booked a table. Service was a little slower because it we visited during a peak time, but this didn't detract from the wonderful food. The menu catered for different food requirements (vegan, gluten free etc.), the portions were generous and full of flavour.

Very enjoyable evening with food that was full of surprises. The decor is more cafe style and menu towards street food. The food was top quality, full of flavour, meat very tender. The menu items include a lot of twists on some original Indian classics. A nice choice of beers including a local Dorking Brewery XPA. Our daughter is gluten free and the waiter had perfect advice on which dishes were safe to eat. He was very knowledgable on dietary requirements.
My husband and I visited for lunch. The interior design and atmosphere of the restaurant, as well as the taste of the food, were truly amazing, and I'm glad I went there.
The overall taste of the dishes was very strong, and some felt a little salty, but it varies from person to person.
The person in charge of our table was very polite.
However, even though he was wearing a mask, he spoke a little too quickly, so it was difficult to understand his explanations and questions, making it difficult to communicate.
Personally, I was concerned about the uncomfortableness of the sofa seats and the plates on which the food was served. Although the food itself was beautiful, I thought the presentation of the plates was a little boring, with all the plates being round and white. I then sat on the sofa seat on the upper floor, but as a small woman, the height of the table did not balance me well when I sat on the sofa, so it was a bit tiring for me. I think some people like the sofa seats, so I think this is also a preference.
All of the dishes were beautiful, with flavors from various countries on one plate, and I was especially impressed by the main meat dishes and desserts.
It was interesting to see how they actively incorporated Japanese seasonings.
The course can be made gluten-free, but the bread on the side was replaced with rice crackers. I had told them the day before that one serving would be gluten-free, so I was happy that they were able to prepare gluten-free bread for me.
