Recently diagnosed with coeliac and ordered gluten free fish and chips with an other order. We arranged to collect the meals at 5.30, the meals were ready, my gluten free food was well labelled and absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed my gluten free fish, the batter was amazing.

Coeliac friendly. Gluten-free options are available. Servers took time to show us ingredients on salad dressing to reassure us on no gluten containing ingredients like barley and wheat. It is so helpful when catering to dietary needs. Dog friendly. Will definitely visit again. Thank you.
Enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with a diverse menu and unique small plates, but be prepared for a lively and noisy dining experience.

Fabulous menu with many, many gluten and dairy free options. We opted for the vegetarian sharing plate and were not disappointed. Will have to return several more times to sample all the other options, including the ultra-rare vegan and gluten free pudding option of polenta and ground almond cake, which was sadly already sold out when we visited.
Known for its amazing atmosphere, spacious setting, and dog-friendly vibe, this spot impresses with stunning meals and a welcoming charm.

Delicious meals and catered for gluten free dietary requirements. Home made burger was best I've had in a long time with GF burger bun. Nice to be able to bring the dog, plenty of space and dog treats made Ollies day. Thank you.

Decided to follow a road sign on the off-chance yesterday. So glad we did. Lovely little cafe in an idyllic position. Having found a seat the owner polity asked if we would mind sitting upstairs as she had just taken a booking from a person with limited mobility. Glad they look after such customers. Absolutely no problem. Service was great, staff friendly and food was excelant. Lots of choice for my wife who is celiac.
Expect a delightful culinary experience with unique flavors and well-proportioned dishes that leave you wanting more.

We had a truly delightful meal at Grants of Castlegate last night! We started with a smoked duck dish which had such an interesting and delicious flavor profile. We then had the trio of pork and the bass/ravioli which we thought were delicious as well and well proportioned. My husband finished his meal with the sticky toffee pudding which he made quick work of. I'm fairly certain he would have licked the plate if it were acceptable! I personally have celiac disease. The staff were knowledgeable of my dietary restrictions and accommodated me well. I had no stomach issues afterwards which I was very appreciative of. Thank you Grants of Castlegate for a lovely meal! Should we find ourselves back in Penrith, we'll stop by for another visit!
