I bought two gluten free toasts, one with eggs and bacon one with avocado, GF is 1$ extra. When brought to my table, I noticed that one plate had different bread than the other, which I suspected was not GF. I asked one waiter and he said yes yes it's gluten free. I was still suspicious, asked another one who said yes. Asked him if he was really sure. He went to check and lo and behold it was not GF bread. It takes you 30 seconds to check, saves me hours of discomfort. I then get my plate changed to a GF toast half the size of the normal one. Pictured is my $10 avocado toast. They also forgot to register bacon on my order. They forgot my bottle of water. Then they forgot to bring me a glass. Had to ask each time. It was not busy. They ask for tips at the counter. What am I tipping for exactly?

Run, or bike, to La Bicyclette now- their food is incredible! Highlights include their Winter Citrus salad (they graciously converted it to gluten free; in doing so they provided a citrus dressing rather than the standard vinaigrette) which was bright and perfectly balanced. The Steak au Poivre was expertly prepared. Our server was excellent-very attentive but not overbearing. The space has an energetic, but not chaotic, vibe. I am looking forward to returning!
With a buzzing atmosphere and standout dishes, this spot promises an exceptional dining experience you'll want to repeat.

WE LOVE BASIL! Great staff, quality food, good portions, and amazing experience. Excellent gluten free pasta. We have been twice this week. Their reviews on here do not reflect how good the restaurant is. 5 stars. Highly recommend. THANK YOU BASIL

I got the leg of lamb. That was some “last meal on earth” level tasty food. Pretty sure the sauce has gluten in it and I’m allergic but I didn’t even care. It was worth every moment of suffering in the days to come. I live 6 hours away but I’m definitely coming back
Experience a top-notch vibe with delicious crust options and a fantastic Greek salad – a must-visit for an amazing dining experience!

Yummy! Best pizza I've had in a long, long time. My son and I shared a gluten-free crust pizza and it was super delicious. The rest of the family had the regular crusts and they loved it. And I ordered the Greek salad which was fantastic. Wonderful service. Definitely 5-star experience.

This one is for all the burger bougies out there. After you've shopped for that Gucci belt buckle and got Carbon fitted for the central coast lifestyle, you can drop the pretension and get a proper burger at Camel Burger Bar. There are grass-fed beef, bison, and wagyu options lavishly outfitted with some Carmel appropriate toppings. I tucked in for a roasted poblano with brie and pickled red onions and found it to be everything I need from a burger. Gluten-free folks, beware the French fries are not gluten-free, which is always the silliest mistake restaurants make. The good news is, the sweet potato fries are, and they are tasty.
Once you've finished being a spectacle for the nearby wine tasters wishing they could trade their vanity for a bite, you can confidently climb back into your G-wagon on 22s, or more likely your space grey Tesla and drive away feeling like a Carmel rock star. Anyone can get steamed carrots and salmon, or pasta carbonara, but how many leave Carmel after taking down a $20 Grilled Cheese Burger?
Great service and amazing food - every dish was uniformly of high quality! Loved the steaks!
Especially love how gluten-friendly the menu is with clear descriptions of the dishes.

Wow. We came here for my husband’s sixtieth birthday. What an absolute delight! The care shown by the chef and staff was so superior to any experience I have ever had. My daughter has celiac disease and the chef prepared each item safely for her, even the bread pudding. We are a foodie family and my daughter thought she would never have another extravagant meal again. Wow. What a gift. And during the pandemic! The meal itself was done so incredibly well. Each course an experience in itself. We have eaten at three star Michelin restaurants and I dare say that what they lack that Aubergne has is soul. The deliciousness was prioritized over the extreme gastronomy. The food was scrumptious and unique. I cannot remember ever enjoying a meal as much. What more can I say? Thank you!
