I have celiac disease and Kappa has a lot of great gluten free options for rolls. Most rolls can be made GF. You can also ask for a GF menu from the server. They are well-versed in food safety to prevent cross-contact with gluten.
Do not trust their gluten free claims.
Used to love this place for how seriously it took my partner's gluten allergy. The menus rave about their gluten free sauces and marinades as well as their desire and ability to accommodate allergies, but the staff is a different story. We explained the situation clearly to our waitress, and asked to swap out three gluten-containing items from one of the premade bundles.
We were told "no, order everything alacarte". Um okay? That doesn't seem particularly accommodating of allergies, but whatever.
We order the bundle sans the gluten items (because it was still cheaper than ordering everything alacarte) with modifications like no dressing on the salad, a gluten free marinade on the chicken, etc.
They sent out the salad with the dressing hidden on the bottom and the chicken had the regular marinade. We sent back things when we caught them, but it clearly wasn't enough. My partner ended up consuming gluten via cross contact and was sick all evening.
The lack of concern for allergies here is horrendous.
A pleasant experience
Great gluten-free pizza. Pricey and flat, but tasty!
Potato skins were good, sandwiches were good, attentive but not annoying server.
I love how they have gf crust and it is good, they also have different sizes for gluten free crust which I haven't found anywhere else. I've never gotten sick from them either. The pear gorgonzola pizza is amazing. I order from them frequently.
They were so helpful in warning me about which foods to avoid and which ones were safe to accommodate my food allergy. A good place for gluten free dining.
