This was the best pizza we have had since moving to CT, their gluten free pizza was especially great!! We came here to celebrate my birthday week. The restaurant was really spacious with big comfy booths/tables so you didn’t feel crammed next to strangers The service was really quick, but the food was super high quality and tasted delicious. Our server Kim did such a fantastic job, she even brought a separate little dish of ice cream for my wife since none of their on-menu desserts were gluten free that way I could have a lava cake but my wife could safely have dessert with me! And she even brought it out with a candle so that I could make a wish, truly a very thoughtful gesture and was so appreciated by us. We will absolutely be back here at Joey Garlic’s again!
Enjoy a clean, relaxed vibe where you can unwind with delicious offerings and a great atmosphere without the crowds.

This location was really clean when we visited and not overly crowded, so we were able to sit and enjoy our dinner without too much noise or distractions. We love coming to MOOYAH because it’s simple for my partner to have gluten-free options with nearly everything on the menu here. Overall this was a good experience here with friendly customer service, high-quality food, and a clean seating area!
Enjoy a unique breakfast experience with delicious fluffy omelettes and satisfying waffles, making mornings feel perfectly normal again!

Great about not cross contaminating my food. I have to eat GF because of Celiac Disease. I didn't realize, but the omelettes at IHOP have a bit of pancake batter added to them to make them fluffier. I couldn't eat them that way, though. But you can ask for real egg omelettes, and I have gotten to still enjoy the delicious omelettes IHOP has to offer! Love it! ( :
Seasonal offerings shine but execution can miss the mark; unique kids' burger style adds intrigue, making for an interesting dining experience.

Menu is well labeled for gluten friendly. Had a soup that was seasonal that was very good and a shredded beef taco that was okay. Taco was not bad, the meat was good but the plate was under seasoned. No heat, and very little salt. Only a shame because it was so close to being very good. Husband got a burger where the cheese, shredded, was unmelted on the top. Maybe it was an off night for the kitchen. Both dishes were good but was only sad because they were both close to being very good/great. Good kids menu, but the kids burger was strange because it was two burgers that had half a patty the was cut into 1/4th. One 1/4 on each bun. Again maybe this was a wierd night for the kitchen. May update this review if we go back on a non Friday night.
Expect an explosion of flavor in every bite, especially with the thin crust and standout cheese options that keep fans coming back for more!

I've ordered a few times from here in the past few months and NEVER disappointed!!!!!! 😍 Last night I saw a review about a gluten free cheese pizza so I ordered a small one to give it a try..... not only did I forget to take a picture but it didn't even make it home!!!! I called right back to order another one and turned right around 😂😂😂 I absolutely LOVE their pizzas but this one has to be my favorite one ever so far. SO much flavor in such a small, thin crust pizza it's absolutely DELICIOUSLY PERFECT!!!! 😍🥰 LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

I met a friend here for lunch and hadn't been in so long. I forgot how amazing their food is. I got the fried chicken meal and it was to die for. Being gluten sensitive, they are able to accommodate that easily, and have separate fryers. Their food is like southern comfort food. Highly recommend. Food is better than most of the restaurants in West Hartford Center.
Today I visited Puerto Vallarta after many years why because I wasn't happy with the place, but today I can say they have changed my mind. Service excellent, food amazing. Very professional people. The changes that I saw today from when I went many years ago really had me feeling some kind of way. They have a really good menu and a good selection on gluten free food, plus the drinks...amazing those mango and guava margaritas. So for everyone give it a chance is worth it.
Enjoy a clean and inviting vibe, with a strong sense of community and fresh flavors, but be cautious of the tricky drive-through situation!

I've only been to the ones down south. I was really surprized to find them coming around Ct. There food tastes clean ! The place, including bathroom, is clean. They walk by tables to see if you need anything. They make you feel like you simply belong. The chicken is really fresh and it "really" is juicy ! The commercials speak outright truth in advertising their company.
The only thing that is a problem is the drive through section. It interferes with the parking space. People can't get out until the dive through line has gone down. It's a strong inconvenience. Also can be dangerous. It's so easy for cars to hit eachother by mistake.
*** OH WOW.. was just reading down the list of foods I liked and they have written : Gluten free buns. 🤓 Now I can enjoy a glutten free byn chicken sandwich !!! 😋 I cant wait to go back !
Hidden gem with hearty, fresh meals and generous portions, loved by locals for its no-frills vibe and clean, cozy atmosphere.

Looking for great eats off the beaten path? We were on a trip up to Maine and were in the area around lunchtime. Navigated to the Dog House because they listed that they had gluten free options. This is definitely the place that locals go for lunch! Not much ambiance, but food is fresh and cooked to order. No fillers in the burgers. Salads are made from fresh, not bagged lettuce. Portions are very generous. Place is worn but very clean - even the bathroom. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on all days except Sunday (until 2 pm) Ignore the facade and try the food!
I ordered a chorizo taco and one of their premium baha fish tacos. The tacos came packed with meat and fish. With the crunchy fried white fish and the sauce (such a great sauce but I have no idea what it was), the baha taco is definitely something that I’d get again.
After having the 2 tacos, I tried the carne asada empanada. Just look at the picture. They load up the already stuffed, crunchy, gluten free corn empanadas with all kinds of toppings. It is so nice that there is a place like this in CT. It was so good that I forgot about the salsa bar. Next time...
One odd thing was that both soft corn tacos came with only 1 tortilla each. In the photos online, and generally at most Mexican places, there are 2 tortillas per taco. Only noticed because they felt a little thing without that extra tortilla.
A local gem known for its unique moussaka pizza and tasty Mediterranean flavors like chicken shawarma and baba ghanoush.

This is one of my favorite local pizza spots especially moussaka pizza and they even have a pretty good gluten free crust if you need it. The Mediterranean food is the great here. Chicken shawarma and baba ghanoush are my favorites.
They have the best gluten free pie in the area (though I've had better) and their delivery times are usually right on point. I order with them through GrubHub and have only had an issue once when they happened to run out of gluten free crusts that day. They do make a great party size pie. We ordered three a few months ago and they were delivered hot and my guests loved it!
Vibrant vibes and excellent service create a memorable spot for gatherings, making every occasion feel special and inviting for all.

Showed up on a Friday night with a party of 11 including young children (thought one of us made a reservation but we didn't). They welcomed us, made no errors serving us, the food was outstanding, the staff friendly, and we all had a great birthday dinner for our relative. It was our 1st time there. We will return! CELIACS FRIENDLY and kind! Waitress went out of her way to make sure my GF needs were met!
I have been going here since it opened in the late 1970's and lo into every delectable bite ever since!!
Sadly, I wasn't able to eat here for about 10 years after being diagnosed with Celiacs Disease! ) : But...there is light at the end of the pizza tunnel! ( : Last year, they started making safe, delicious, Gluten Free Pizzas!! One of the owner's children also has Celiac's, so they knew they had to introduce this awesome choice to their menu!! Boy am I thankful they did too!
Now, I can eat my own GF pizza right along side the rest of my family who are eating the regular, delicious, pizza they have been making for years!!
Definitely check out this landmark if you are in the Newington, CT area! You will be truly happy you did! ( :
