Pogs N Pancakes turned out to be a real win for my college age daughter and myself. We were in town for just a few days and we chose to come here for multiple breakfasts. Uhh...I am very confused by all of these reviews. I was wooed by all of the raving reviews from people who ordered the gluten free options. They do have a large selection of GF options, but now I am thinking they might not be good.
I ordered the egg flower soup. It was tasted like bland chicken broth with corn starch. I also ordered the orange chicken and wow. See picture for what it looked like. It tasted slimy and nothing like orange. I did not eat it. Yikes. I'll continue cooking my own version of GF Chinese food at home.

Food was ready when we got there so no waiting.
They sent us out the door with plenty of parm and pepper flake packets… and a stack of plates appropriate for the amount of pizza we ordered.
Variety of pre-designed pizza was good so no need to “build your own”.
They also offer a gluten free crust for those that need a celiac friendly option… note/disclaimer: daughter is celiac and had zero issues after eating but your experience may vary.

This is my favorite Thai restaurant. When we travel we try to get newport on the itinerary so we can stop at Lucky Thai Elephant. Vegan gluten-free is easy here also. Staff friendly and lots of coffee refills. I am a huge fan.

If you are gluten sensitive DO NOT order the fries even though they are listed as gluten-free on the menu. They are cooked in the oil that gluten foods are cooked in, and so high in gluten it was like an overdose to my body. I was on the toilet within the hour of eating three fries— only three.
That said, it’s a great environment, the server is excellent, it’s nice to eat out on the patio. The Irish potatoes with fish and cheese and mustard on top is delicious, I’ve had it before and it does seem to be truly gluten-free. They even gave a side of gluten-free crackers.
Definitely worth a visit! Just avoid the fries.

Super great they have the gluten free bread thank you so much for that!!! It took a moment for the young lady to get the whole "Allergy" meaning of Gluten Allergy. Once she got that it was fantastic aside from only one bread choice whole wheat, or flat bread or wrap, bo meatballs that day. There were some other choices not available that day also! Went here 2 times on a recent visit to the coast. It was very conveniently just down the road from where we were staying. The food was great and the staff is friendly and attentive. This is an absolutely amazing place in terms of both food and a family, friendly environment! We were delighted by how much our 10-month-old enjoyed sitting in her highchair and looking at all the nice staff walking by and waving at her. The food was delicious, the sourdough chowder bowl is absolutely one of the best ones I have ever had! My wife enjoyed the thoughtful gluten-free menu as well! This was a great spot in Newport Beach, try the fish and chips. You won’t be disappointed! The pickle fries are also quite amazing. Took a solid 20 mins for us to be interacted with by a hostess (after which we were seated immediately, at a table a previous group had just left because they were tired of waiting).
Once we got the menu after another ten minutes, we realized they didn't have any non-breakfast gluten free options, and the waitress didn't know what fish was in the fish and chips, and whether there was bacon in the chowder.
Unless you have a lotta time to kill and don't have any food needs or preferences, I don't recommend it.

What an excellent find! The menu is marked which items can be prepared gluten free. I also sent an IM beforehand and they responded quickly that most everything on their menu can be prepared gluten free. We started with the Fresh Rolls which were delicious and the peanut sauce had a nice coconut flavor. I had the Pork Pad Thai at a medium spice; it was tasty and a little more on the sweet side from what I am used to. I think if I went up a spice level, it might have evened out the sweetness. My husband got the Roast Duck Pad Thai. The duck was cooked perfectly and was delicious. My husband thought it was more on the sweet side too. I’d love to come back here someday!

We decided to go here on a whim and are glad we did. The food was very good and we all got something different. We have a daughter with Celiac Disease who ordered grilled salmon fish tacos. She loved them. The chowder is very delicious, especially in the sourdough bread bowl. Our server, Madison, was very friendly and checked on us often. We enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant and found the entire outing wonderfully satisfying.
