My entire family has celiac and this is one of our safest places with great food! Most of the food is gluten free and we’ve never had cross contamination issues. If you want something with a bun make sure to specify that you need a gluten free one, otherwise they’ll assume you don’t need one.
A relaxed vibe with a unique pickle bar and custom sodas, plus an interesting outdoor restroom setup makes this spot a fun family choice.

I’ve eaten here many times and the food is great. I have certain dietary restrictions, including no gluten or red meat, and they’ve always had yummy options for me. The service is great and my kids LOVE the pickle bar. The staff is always friendly and the environment is fun but relaxed.
I rarely leave reviews on anything, but I really want to share the kindness that happened today…
It’s a busy day running between my two kids sports and I placed a pick-up order online with a note asking for the order to be rushed because I was running to my son’s basketball game. Just before picking it up, someone side-swiped my car and drove off. I was furious. When I got my order, there was a sticky note from an employee that said “good luck with the game!” This little note of kindness went a long way to lift my mood.
Thank you, twisted root staff, for being a bright spot.

Not worth the drive out of Dallas but not bad if you're local. Atmosphere is very nice, beautiful views on the enclosed patio. Coffee was okay but not exceptional. Wife's gluten free waffle tasted like a gluten free waffle (i.e. not good; but wife said she liked it). Biscuits were falling apart - but not in a good way. Bacon was limp. Ham was burnt. Service was fine.
Customization is key here with awesome fresh pizzas and a lovely outdoor seating vibe that makes for a great casual hangout.

Brought the family to Mods today 5pm. They only had gluten free and cauliflower crust. No lids for the cups. No sweet tea. The restaurant is a total wreck. Something needs to be fixed apparently.
I have a gluten sensitivity. The last two times I have eaten here I have been given gluten by staff that is aware of my problems. Either the wait staff aren’t telling the kitchen because they’re assuming things off the gf menu are always prepared gluten free, the kitchen doesn’t know the menu, or the kitchen is not cleaning their cooking area. I don’t know. I just know I have gotten violently ill. The first time I got fried shrimp tacos instead of grilled and didn’t realize until I ate half of a taco. Tonight I’m not sure what it was but I won’t be eating there again and I advise other people with allergies or sensitivities to stay away as well.

My husband and I ordered the works burger and the classic double, and they were both amazing! They have a large menu to choose from and they also offer Gluten free and Protein Style alternatives. Mamas charged me 3x more for cheese sticks just “because they were gluten free.” Being gluten free is not a choice for members of this family and we are aware we will have to pay a little extra, but 3x more than the regular price is just ridiculous when previously the exact same order was under $50.
I love going to Spring Creek because I have celiac disease, and they always know exactly what to do. Very courteous staff here, and as always the barbecue is excellent.
