That was actually really good. A gluten-free crêpes, all organic, artesian fish, local produce. A place where you can eat while other places are closed. Organic dry cider is one of the best. The values of this place make it worth coming. Romantic atmosphere included.

It is not a 100% gluten-free place, but they only eat the salad and the meat with potatoes. Therefore, what they offer in principle is gluten-free. The potatoes are homemade. The meat comes in a sauce (when talking to the waiters they told me it was also gluten-free) that for my taste contained a lot of oil, but the meat was just right. The place is very large but the tables are too close together. In general it is not bad.

Every year we come and we are never disappointed! Special mention for the Burger Chuck! The only downside is that we have gluten intolerants in the family and they only have the Steak and Fries that they can eat but it is still delicious! We come at the end of the season where most waiters and restaurateurs lose their smile, this is never the case at the spot!

Savory crepes made with buckwheat flour! Delicious, satisfying and suitable for celiacs. There are also sweets (although these are not buckwheat). The water is filtered and therefore they do not charge for it, plus the waiters are very attentive to refilling it as soon as it runs out. Adequate price and good location, next to the Bayonne cathedral. Highly recommended!!

Valentine's Day dinner booked online on their website about 15 days in advance communicating the need for gluten and lactose free dishes. Upon arrival we reminded the owner of this again and he reassured us. The food is of excellent quality, beautiful dishes, tasty. Unfortunately, however, when serving the second course I was presented with a roast in a puff pastry crust so I asked the waiter for clarification who didn't even understand the simple phrase: "is it gluten-free?". From that moment the kitchen mobilizes to offer me an alternative (excellent like the rest of the dinner) too bad that in the meantime my husband has finished his second course. No discount will be added to the bill, nor will there be a free digestive. I would add that a bottle of sparkling water costs €8 (our fault is for not having checked the price of water before). Conclusion: the food is excellent, prices high not for the quality but for the superficial and approximate service considering that we don't speak French but the waiter doesn't speak a word of English... but we are the customers!

Sandrine and I were looking for a nice little restaurant, gluten-free and inexpensive, we found the rare gem with this pretty creperie which welcomed us warmly despite the late hour (almost 2 p.m....). The pancakes are naturally gluten-free which is perfect for my sweetheart. They are perfectly made, well stocked and delicious. For dessert, another buckwheat pancake, super good. Very good restaurant. The concept is nice: We choose what we want to eat in the fridges, everything is in jars which are made on site. The ingredients are written on the jars so allergens are easy to spot, especially gluten-free! Well suited for children too, because we were able to have two plates to share a jar!!! This is my HQ. I have an allergy problem. So suffice to say that gluten prevents me from going to a lot of restaurants. But at Mamie Bigoude, there are pancakes. I enjoy it every time. Being disabled, I am often at the bottom. But on two occasions, even though it wasn't easy for me, I wanted to go upstairs. I didn't regret the "bedroom" area, I loved it. The staff are lovely and attentive. I recommend. The only regret is that it's not big enough because places are quickly reserved 😅

I had dinner here with my Franco-American family for Thanksgiving. The meal was amazing!! Everyone loved it. I have celiac disease and most of the menu could be made gluten-free. The waiter was really nice and was able to explain everything to the family members who only speak english. They were also accomodating and made a special meal for my 3-year old nephew. Great time, you can go there with your eyes closed! The dishes are excellent and refined. The presentation on the plate is pretty and encourages you to taste it. The dishes are plentiful. Everything is fresh and prepared on site. We feel that the products are sought after and of quality. Honestly, don't hesitate for a second. Very disappointed by my visit to the restaurant that I had known since my childhood. 😥 The site highlights respect for the different possible diets and for that, I take my hat off to them! 🤗 On the other hand, I had a very bad experience regarding my celiac disease (gluten): no bread, the only possible dessert that day was ice cream in the middle of winter (like in many non-specialized restaurants), a waitress with little awareness. who explains to me that there is “normally” no gluten in the dishes without having it confirmed by the chef. However, we had booked several days in advance: it was therefore possible to plan all these elements. So I had a very bad meal and unfortunately will not return to this establishment which is not as tasty as at the time 😥 Good luck all the same to this restaurant which dazzles us with its location. 🍃 To counter the owner's response: Just reread my review. I did not make any comments regarding the dishes on the menu. To clarify, I am talking about aperitifs and appetizers for example as well as the lack of gluten-free bread in a high-end restaurant. Likewise for desserts, only offer ice cream for celiac diets, it’s classic. It has happened to me that many restaurants offer me at least a last minute fruit salad just to finish with a sweet touch. Also, I posted my review in July but my visit was this winter. I don't see why it's problematic to leave a later review. I find it very good that you take the time to respond to our comments, thank you. On the other hand, reading it carefully to respond as best as possible without overwhelming the customer who is reporting an unhappy experience is something else. In a restaurant like yours, calling the customer even seems more appropriate and consistent to me.
