My wife stopped in yesterday and bought a loaf of bread and some milk . The bread was $9 and we found it was moldy this morning , the milk was also $8 and that's insane for milk unless it came from a gluten free vegan unicorn . Never will we pay those prices again .

It used to a tad expensive long ago. But now it's clear they're not price gouging... I respect that. I love going there.
Also have a good selection of gluten free items but those are expensive.

We explicitly asked if the tuna bowl was gluten free and our server told us it was. We took our order to go. After eating it we saw a small note on the box that said sauces are not GF. My daughter has been throwing up since she ate. Very very disappointed.

Popped in tonight and was greeted by a smiling and very helpful cashier Tiana. She was a breath of fresh air, awesome customer service skills. The staff is wonderful and I enjoy shopping there for all my groceries, gluten free and organic. Shout out also to Christine who is always so helpful and kind. I’ve known her for years and she is always smiling. Thank you to both girls for making me smile 😊

Giving Farm Boy a 3.5: Nicely displayed & organized - prices are a little more expensive but not when compared to other more 'gourmet' or organic grocers. Unfortunately, gluten free, dairy free, &/or FODMAP items are rare or not to be found (in both the shelf items & the fresh/ready items). That is disappointing & the reason for the lower rating.
I’ve been a customer of this location for 6 years. Unfortunately, this store doesn’t meet any of my expectations anymore. Regular lack of meat that I used to buy there, no gluten free pasta, and very poor choice of dairy products. In addition, they introduced innovative idea to get more money. If you loose your parking ticket, you have to pay $21 on the exit. It doesn’t matter if you spent $200 at the store. It looks like they are trying to survive, but with no success. Very disappointed. It was my favourite location of the Whole Foods chain.

First off I didn't realize that this place was vegan when I first found it. But wow, what a surprise. Everything was absolutely delicious. I also have different dietary needs, such as gluten free and various oils and the food here is so wholesome that I didn't have to worry. My waitress also confirmed everything. I had the bang bang brussel sprouts salad which had the best combo of flavors. My husband had a smoothie, coffee, and the eggplant parm. Needless to say we were impressed. The quality is top notch. Although we are from MI, we will drive back over the border to get here! They have an extensive menu of food and drinks to choose from and a mini market. Amazing!

Clean and accessible location with lots of underground parking. A bit hard to find specific gluten free bread that are available in other whole food locations but this is not a deal breaker. Love their variety wish there were more affordability options provided prices are high compared to same item in other stores.

Very big grocery store with a wide selection of produce, a huge butcher, deli, pastries and cheese selection. A big selection of gluten free options. Always take the kids in the evening and they seem to have a full complement of staff on hand. There is a Cafe and ice-cream shop, as well as, a florist. Definitely worth the drive.

Growing up as a kid I used to hate when Mom said we were going to have salad for dinner but then again mom's salad didn't look like this... This grocery store has the most amazing salad bar; it's always well stocked and full of interesting choices. When I know I'm going to be working in the area I always make sure to end up here to grab a gluten-free lunch which is perfect for a Celiac like me.
They have a good selection of produce and a decent selection of gluten free items. Prices are quite high. I understand it’s a full service grocery store and expect to pay more than Food Basics, but their sale price for a tub of yogurt is $1.50 more than the regular price at Zehrs.

What a neat place. A hidden gem for sure. Unexpectedly found many Asian products. Plenty of options here, from baked treats, to frozen meals to make at home, to refrigerated items to make your own meals, to ready made items to eat in store.
Vegan/gluten free treats from Little Jo Berry's in Ottawa. Glad to see this offered here. Delicious as always.
Mocha was delicious. Diary free options available, always welcomed for those with dietary restrictions.
Will definitely be coming back. Mocha and donuts made the drive back to Ottawa much easier.

I've always wanted to visit a Farm Boy location and very glad I had the chance to today!
I found the prices to be VERY fair - if you're accustomed to shopping at places like Longos or Sobeys, you'll find similar quality and as much as a dollar or so less than in higher end guys.
I found them to be VERY clean, offering a variety vegan, gluten-free and keto options.
Small but quaint. All the staff members seem very friendly and eager to help.

Much better gluten-free selection than most places. I'm very appreciative of their student discounts on Tuesdays!
By stopping in here more frequently for some specific gluten free "Irresistibles" foods (which only seem to be available at this location, I live only a block from the other one but they don't carry the products I'm seeking regularly), I have come to get to know staff better as well as ser their very decent and fairly priced gluten free variety overall. I find all staff have been very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable during each visit.
Recently (Sunday, May 12th @ 4:30pm for Management's reference if they read these reviews and so credit is properly received) I needed to return due to a couple of expired products I purchased in the morning which were not at all clear (no 4 digit annual date) and was pleasantly surprised how seamless the swap was made by staff.
Still not being terribly familiar with the store, I saw a male employee with a reflective vest (assuming he worked there) and he assisted me immediately, directed me where to go while accompanying me (as opposed to simply the uninterested, wave of the hand "over there" which was kind and rare these days) and while chatting, he slipped away and retrieved two definitely not expired products since I wanted to swap, not return them...they weren't common so for how fast he left and returned impressed me, I also had every intention of going to get them myself so this was also appreciated.
The cashier was talkative as well and made the transaction really very simple, admittedly, never having returned/exchanged food items before, I somewhat anticipated a headache but it was almost $20 for the two items so I figured it was worth my time. I'm happy to know they care and made it easy.
This is only one example but a reflection of my experiences here, my impression of The Metro has grown and vastly improved over the passed few months. A great selection that is never out of stock, pleasant staff and a welcoming, easy to navigate store.
Edit: So that others are not disappointed or wasting a trip, other reviewers have said this is a 24 hour store which it is definitely not. (I'm aware it was at one time however some reviews are quite recent.) Their hours are listed here which I know are accurate...just an FYI.
