My wife is gluten and msg sensitive. We also at Founding Farmer’s and Lupo Marino restaurants. Those were nice, but the food and prices at Chopsmith were considerably better. My favorite was the omelette I got for lunch PLIS added mushroom and onion AND the unique hard cheese that starts with an “H.” I ate there three times over three days. It became my go-to during my stay in DC.

It’s our 5yr anniversary ..vacationing in DC looking for a restaurant to celebrate. We Choose Officina! We’ve eaten at many places. This restaurant is the most professional restaurant in service and food plus making us feel very special! Fi Fi the manager was so great!! Thank you! The calamari and salad were perfect along with the pasta with shrimp. Very clean and love the service and the food!! Vegan and Gluten free options! Prices are great too!! We will be back! We love this place! Bill and Janet Cummins!

No plastic bottled water. I didn't see any flat glass mineral water bottles... That is the corny stuff People talk about in dc. Other than that the prices are very competitive and I wish I would have come there instead of buying stuff elsewhere for my gluten free stuff. I will say the store seems to be slightly awkwardly put together. Example: tea bag/boxes are near the refrigerated section near cheese and produce just seemed a little weird. But it forces you to go down every aisle even if you don't want to. The staff was friendly overall

Had fun at the wine bar for an hour or so before shopping. Sarina was fun and hospitable at the bar and the rest of the staff I interacted with was also lovely. Lots of options for people with dietary restrictions (vegan, gluten, etc)... picked up a beautiful ribeye and a great deal on ground beef at the meat counter.

Stopped by on a Friday for lunch. Not very busy and easy to find a table. My husband got the meatball sandwich and I got the buffalo chicken sandwich with gluten free bread. Both were really good. Chips are extra. They have a cute little market with wine beer and snacks. Dogs were allowed inside. We'll come back again for coffee breakfast sandwiches.
