I really like Isle of Us. Healthy options for a light meal or coffee and pastry. Try the Mochi cake for a gluten free treat. The tumeric latte is excellent, and a nice alternative to coffee. There's a holistic spa adjoining the restaurant. I have been there many times and plan to go back. There's some okay seating outdoors in front.
Expect a bustling vibe after work hours with top-notch quality snacks and fantastic prices that'll keep you coming back for more.

My favourite grocery store. Clean, organized and always opened, which is very convenient for those who have a weird work schedule. It has a great variety of food, and most importantly for me, gluten free food! ♥️ also good prices and sometimes nice deals!

Only place I shop now since they opened years ago.
Pros: Easy to read ingredients, truly the kindest service, usually well stocked compared to other markets. Great to explore worldy foods, great dietary specific options (dairy free, gluten free, free range, organic, etc.) Much smaller than "supermarkets" so I get in and out with efficiency, especially if I go off busy hours.
Cons or tradeoffs 🤷🏽♀️😊
Some items may be a bit pricier but the quality is certainly more natural (less synthetic!) so its a concious choice.
They keep moving things around, so it can take more time to reorient and find stuff but they're super helpful with that. (I understand its a necessary thing for shelf space 🤷🏽♀️)
This spot offers a delicious variety of baked goods that cater to different tastes, making it a must-visit for bread lovers.

I love this place. It's like they feel sorry for people who can't eat wheat: gluten-free pumpkin bread, English muffins, regular muffins, cupcakes. They also have bagels and white bread, but I haven't tried those yet.

A go-to for staple snacks and blooms, with a whimsical vibe, though produce quality can vary.

I don’t understand how people can make this their one-stop grocery store—BUT I love it for the staple TJ items (mostly snacks/nuts), and the flowers. Produce can be hit or miss (as long as you don’t need something in particular, you should be good!).
I’ve been appreciating the addition of more and more gluten free and dairy free items. (I appreciate when they’re clearly marked)

You have to look how cashier's scan items. They double charge often, I can't tell if it's malicious or not. That takes off 2 stars but honestly other than that the store has a great selection of general and eclectic products l, including gluten free products for celiacs. The staff is also very nice. I really want to give the store a 5/5 but the double charges, which occurred multiple times, make me wary during the checkout process. Can't state this enough, I cannot tell if the staff do it ok purpose but I heard it does happen purposely in other places. They staff are always apologetic and nice.
A vibrant spot with amazing vegan choices and a top-notch juice bar, perfect for stocking up on fresh produce, but expect long lines during peak hours.

Great meat and produce. Plenty of vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and non-dairy options. Beware of long lines so plan accordingly (usually absurd long lines between five and seven). Juice bar is best in the neighborhood.
Great stock of vegan / gluten free goods, but beware not everything is labeled with a price. and very expensive!!! Also, their produce is hit or miss. Sometimes good and sometimes you get this moldy papaya, wrapped with the moldy side in, for $6.
The vibe is really uncomfortable because I just feel watched the whole time. And half the prices are missing and it's a big deal to check them. Can't wait to see a better place open near here so we have a more friendly option.
It's a clean cute, gourmet-like grocers. It's complete with what might be called a sandwich counter that has lagsana, roasted, and baked meats, various salads, as well as, specialty items, and baked non-refrigeration-required pastries.
In the produce section there's a healthy mix of organic and non- organic fruits and veggies. I wish they had more gluten-free bread. They only have two kinds that I've seen: tortilla and corn arepas. Those are yummy, but I sometimes would like a traditional sandwich.
The staff is always nice and quite helpful.

This little gem is a blessing to our neighborhood! It’s a peaceful, delicious, and aesthetic getaway. There are vegan and gluten-free options as well. I got the avocado toast (with heart shaped drizzled sriracha) and beet root chai latte.
Favorite market in Astoria, offers vegan and gluten-free products. Variety of Raw honey. Sushi and other foods prepared on the day, super fresh and delicious.

Do go every week. A very neat & organized supermarket. Everyone is so nice. What really is great about this Foodtown is that they always have what is advertised in their circulars unlike some places. There's free parking & free delivery with a certain amount needed for the service. I have celiac and it's fantastic that they have lots of gluten free products. Check out is fast too. Was in and out in less than 20 mins today. So thank you to the owners and management and staff.

Pros: Great market/deli with healthy options. Friendly workers. They're the only place nearby with gluten free, sugar free, and keto friendly snack options. It's also the only store around with a bakery section where they sell slices of cake, cookies and brownies. They also have a produce section with fresh chopped fruit cups for cheap!
Cons: It's kind of a tight squeeze in there with all the shelves full of stuff. They don't have real bacon bc they're Muslim. They also don't have plain grilled chicken for your salad. They've got Chipotle, barbeque, teriyaki and all these other flavors but none just grilled with maybe some olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper. Their "plain" still has the halal seasoning on it, which doesn't go well when you just want a grilled chicken Caesar salad, it clashes with the dressing.
A top-notch spot with a stellar kosher meat selection and a hidden gem of gluten-free items tucked away in the freezer.

Surprisingly, this grocery store has everything I need (including gluten-free beer for my boyfriend), so I don't need to schelp more expensive fares from Trader Joe's or Whole Foods. When WF's didn't have okra, Associated did. You've got to sift through the produce to find the highest quality goods, but it's a small price to pay for, well, small-priced food.
Great selections for charcuterie and baked goods! Also lots of ethnic foods and cooking ingredients. Amazing buffet in the back of the store, and tons of gluten free options! Love it!
This a great little health food store, they have a very wide selection of health food from gluten free to vegan options. They are reasonable priced. There are minimal options when it comes to health food stores on Staten island. You can also get a bite to eat here with many options to choose from. They even have shakes.
Everything is marked on the price tag what it is. I have only seen this in this supermarket. Its brilliant it tells you if its kosher, natural gluten free etc. without looking at the product.
Supermarket is clean and the cashiers are very patient and willing to help if you have issues.
A well-stocked gem with accommodating staff, perfect for those seeking personalized options and a commitment to customer preferences.

Super friendly staff. My wife eats gluten free and they told us they would order any wraps or breads we’d like so that she can order sandwiches at the deli in the future. They even let us use a Gf wrap we brought in in the meantime. Also the place is insanely well stocked. Will be back a million times.
Really nicely stacked. Even though I didn't find gluten free bread- wasn't looking too hard-, they had fresh turmeric and many beautiful vegetables, and all other stuff. Nice people work there, clean and organized
