I've been here since they've had their buffet and their food has always been consistent. If you want to avoid wait times, reserve a table.
At least during dinner service, they proport the willingness to make most Indian dishes. They are also very upfront about what dishes are gluten-free and vegan friendly. Their extra hot is like maybe 3x jalapeno if we're being generous. You can ask for "Indian Hot" which is 2x that.
It you want recommendations, then for avid enjoyers of garlic bread, I suggest getting garlic naan. Those who can eat cheese, especially vegetarians tired of tofu, are recommended to try any dish with panner.
My personal favorites are mango curry and biryani though tikka masala or korma curry and the tandoori dishes are much more papalable for a newcomer wanting to "play it safe"
The dishes you see pictured are papad + mint chutney, which come complementary which a dinner meal, and chicken coconut curry + naan. The chutney has a bit of yogurt in it so it is not vegan, btw.
Also, and this is a big plus for me, they offer additional rice, free of charge. They're one of the few restaurants here in Gvegas that still do that, so good for them.

I ordered a Doordash delivery through here, and it was AMAZING! I got the chicken vindaloo and garlic naan and both were so flavorful! I loved the spice, both also had the perfect amount of seasoning. Great for this gloomy day! Also it came fast and was still warm! Will be trying more dishes! :) The chicken vindaloo was also stated as gluten free which is another plus!

The owner and staff at Handi were very attentive to my wife's dietary needs, and based on the reaction from my wife, the gluten-free, dairy-free option(s) she got were delicious. My chicken Tika masala was wonderful and went well with the garlic Naan. I have been for both the lunch buffet, as well as for dinner, and have been very pleased. I will certainly be back soon.

A really great date night (or date lunch) - we've done both. The food is excellent, and the service is exceptional. They seem to take great care to be clean and sanitary (notice how they wipe each plate before setting it down), and are very conscientious about food allergies and conditions like celiac disease. They pay attention to the small things, which seems rare now-a-days. I highly recommend trying it out for yourself!
Expect a huge menu with diverse options and a relaxed vibe, though service can be hit or miss.

Revised July 2024: our first experience was outstanding (as you can see below). Since then the food is still very good (not outstanding), but our servers the last 3 times have treated us like we are bothering them. No refilling glasses, acting annoyed when you ask a question, they have dropped off food never to be seen again….. until it’s time to leave the tip. Disappointing.
Great food and service! Huge menu with something for everyone.
We had the chicken 65 starter - amazing. Followed by chicken tikka and cashew curry (a delish surprise). They had all the breads and even had dosa (gluten free). There were 3 of us and we still had leftovers.
Relaxed, no rush atmosphere.
Pricing seemed to be the same for lunch and dinner.

Nestled snugly in Myrtle Beach, Bombay at the Beach is more than just an Indian food haven—it's a warm, family-owned treasure exuding a laid-back, homey vibe with awelcoming atmosphere.
What truly sets this place apart is its commitment to catering to diverse dietary needs. As someone navigating special eating restrictions with Celiac disease, their menu thoughtfully featured gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. This was a separate menu provided to me and made me feel not just accommodated, but truly welcomed and safe.
Delving into our meal, the Shrimp Korma and Kadai Goat were sublime choices, both gluten-free and bursting with warm genuine flavors. The rice pudding left us craving seconds. While I couldn't savor the Chef Naan myself, watching my partner relish its huge, aromatic, and buttery goodness added to the cozy, communal feeling.
Beyond the tantalizing dishes, the restaurant's relaxed vibe was pervasive. The cleanliness of the bathrooms spoke volumes about their attention to detail and care.
Despite the lack of wheelchair accessibility—admittedly a drawback due to the stairs—the effort to reach the restaurant felt worth it for the heartwarming food experience. The personal touch of setting up your own plates, utensils, and water, alongside easy-to-use to-go containers, added to the laid-back, familial aura I personally cherish. I personally do not like being waited on. I would always choose to dine at an establishment without it.
Theur Grub Hub pickup area by the register showcased their adaptability to modern dining preferences, making takeout orders convenient if this is your preference.
Bombay at the Beach isn't just about outstanding food; it's a haven that embraces visitors with a cozy, inviting ambiance. Its relaxed atmosphere, coupled with an array of delicious, accommodating dishes, beckons anyone seeking a warm dish in Myrtle Beach.

Went in for a quick dinner. A group of five, all familiar with Indian cuisine.
CHOLANADU offers modern interpretations of Indian classics. We tried the Chicken Tikka Masala, Palak Paneer, Paneer Korma and the Dum Biryani. All were excellent. We will be sure to come back and try other dishes.
A lot of vegetarian and gluten free options are available.
Service is attentive and prices reasonable. Highly recommended.
